A Discord for showing Petz, Est. the bc recently came out with a discord bot of their own maybe 2 weeks or so ago and i'd been thinking about how neat that'd be for petz showing -- how lovely to see this so soon after! fantastic work!!!

Back in 2019, I started designing and coding a Discord bot to handle Petz shows; but I stopped working on it because I really couldn't fathom how a janky Discord bot could stand up to PKC in terms of automation and getting people interested in showing on a platform they weren't already showing on. And then I just kind of forgot I wrote it.... (Looks at my large unfinished projects pile) While trying to find a way to automate sending out Petz via Discord (another future project!), I found this treasure that's been sleeping since 2019! And today, I get to present to you the opening of a Petz Show Club! What this Petz Show Club has to offer: - Showing via Discord made easy, simple and quick! No more needing to copy/paste information - Keep track of all your petz' show careers automatically - Keep the judge's job of judging easy; judges aren't record keepers, the bot is I took some gif's of the functionality I have written so far: Adding Petz to the Show Club is as easy as typing the names and dragging/dropping their photo in. *I shouldn't put quotes around the callname whoops Opening a show and entering petz with a simple script and it populates their photos and shownames for you! Judging a show using the judging specific emoji's and the bot will automatically calculate the titles and show points based on your emojis (and tag the folks in the show) Thanks so much for the warm reception so far! I just have a few thoughts. There was some concern about the fact that an automatic entering, judging, and tracking system could kill forum showing (on forums WW, RKC, DG) and invalidate programs such as Petz Show Companion (ECRose & EddyBones). And I think it would be really unscrupulous to completely copy the points and titling system that was developed on RKC ( petzforum.proboards.com/thread/70513/show-points-titles-system). Therefore, I've been toying with the idea of making a new points and title system specifically for this new show club and I would like input. One idea was that petz would retire at a certain amount of points and can't enter shows on my platform (until I implement some sort of Grand showing system I suppose). I also was wondering if people would want an "Everybody Wins" system or let the judges decide if some petz place or don't place. What about having more than just 5 slots per show? (Would I even find judges for that...?) I'm hoping to get input from judges and those who show. Please fill out the survey below if you can or would like to help me out. Thank you to everyone who responded to the survey (and or messaged me on Discord about this). While 18 responses isn't significant data, it did help me go ahead with a plan. The Petz Show Club will use the points system and show titles system presented by RKC ( petzforum.proboards.com/thread/70513/show-points-titles-system)  And since it seems people either want petz to retire or don't know/care,  Petz will be restricted from entering shows when they have achieved SGCh title. Due to people wanting multiple show types with various entries,   I at the present, don't have an easy way of making the show bot handle this so it will be on the users and judges to handle this. Alright folks, we are at an OFFICIAL LIVE BETA TEST! Testers are wanted! (especially people who want to be judges) to try out my new Discord show bot and its commands! It's currently in a sort of Beta Test so the data will be wiped for a clean fresh start-- I just wanted a few people to see the commands and get a feel for how it works :) (and help me test and debug things!)
