I have been debating playing two versions as well, but it does seem a lil like a pain. That and it'd take up more space on the computer. But, I think it'll be worth it, so meh. Luckily the Petz games, AND the actual .pet files don't actually take up hardly any space at all! I play P3, P4 and P5, and I kinda like having different versions. P3 is my 'naturally raising' game where I play the game as much normally as I can, where P4 is just where I kinda do everything, and P5 is an odd mix of the both. xDD Anyway, I have a ton of downloaded stuff in my games, but overall my P4 folder is only 1.48 GB and P5 is 1.75 GB. And again, that's with a hoard of stuff in them.

Yeah, it really takes up almost no space on more modern computers. Especially when you compare them to other games. I've got Petz 4, Petz 5, SimCity, SimCity 2000, Sims 2, Sims 3, and Sims 4..and the two Petz games combined, plus all the pet files and other files I've got for mine..it doesn't even remotely compare. Although I'm going to install P4 on my laptop instead, just to keep the two games individual, for my little ocd mind. We actually have P4 and 5 also installed on the family PC in the front room that's about 20 years old this year for the kids to play with. My 11 year old son has a huge joy of randomly breeding birds with horses with "humans..so on and so forth.

I guess I'm just a big supporter of both, lol. I love different aspects of each and if I couldn't use both... That'd really make petz overall very un-fun for me. But maybe that's just me. No, it's not just you. I agree completely and I couldn't have said it better.

Is there a way to tweak breed files that were made for P5 so that you can use them in p4? If so, than I'm totally sold haha. I really want to breed CK Border Collies in p4. You can use LNZ Pro to convert them to a unibreed so they work in P3/P4 and P5. Cheetah's stuff did come in P4 versions though so you can always post a thread in Petz talk requesting any breeds you are looking for but converting is easy to do.

Oh wow, that's awesome. Well that settles it lol, I am doing both. No no I understand That is it though, the being overwhelmed. I just don't want to keep up with 2 versions of the same game, just seems too much work for me. I'm hoping though I'll be able to learn how to convert them and keep my faves that way On a side note... I keep a zip file packed full of petz I've adopted out. I backup everything like crazy! xD So, if you two (or anyone that has adopted from me and now has P4 as well) need the P4 versions of your adopted petz, feel free to PM me. I'm more than happy to send 'em back to ya. c: Unless, of course, you saved the emails with them.

I just recently switched over to Petz 4 and there's absolutely nothing that Petz 5 can do that Petz 4 can't. Other than breeding. But I found when I bred using Petz 5 with Petz A I always set the number born in the liter to one anyways, to avoid having to restart the game constantly. I like Petz 4 more now just for the fact that I know anything I breed now can be received by anyone in the community

I don't see the point in Petz 5 litters, really. I mean, why breed when the petz are stuck in one version? The reasons I like Petz 5 are: Less pixely graphics, all the toyz in the carrying case (I don't like being limited to 9, and I can easily pick which ones I want with tinker), weather effects, profiles (and not drop down menu after drop down menu), the salon (makes it more of a real house, the petz 5 house is only missing a bedroom), and skinz. As I've said before in this thread: I really like Petz 4 too. I just felt that most Petz 5 users were only naming the litters so I thought I'd put all the advantages in one list. The litters aren't the only legit argument, in my opinion it isn't even an argument.
