Actually, Cloudedriver, I thought Tams were just Dali's with mutt patches? They're not exactly ~supposed to come with Dali spots but they can. Slap me if I'm wrong though. xD But yerp, that's a Tam! :3

To be a tamsin they have to have a dali body, Ears and head also they have to have Mutt patches. Everything else is optional I think

It's basically just a dali with mutt patches. It's not a purebred dali.

That diagram is years old and goes back to APKC, probably before 2006. It's what the definition is according to Starswept, the original Tamsin site. So it's accurate.

ok thank you for the definiition of it and the difference between the 2.
But now my question is how would you create one. I would think if you breed a mutt and a dali together you'd get some of the mutt characteristics like the face, body feet whatever.

Breeding mutts, dalis and sheepies together (for the halfie, if you wanted it), yeah... that's pretty much it.

I would think if you breed a mutt and a dali together you'd get some of the mutt characteristics like the face, body feet whatever. Typically you do when you first start. You just have to keep breeding generation after generation, trying to "breed out" the Mutt characteristics you don't want (besides the Mutt patches, of course). Out of curiosity, would that disqualify bob-tailed, Chi-eared, big-tailed, etc., "Tamsins" not Tamsins?

I don't think the tail matters, since it's the Dali body that's the important part? I had a ton that were bob-tailed and sheepie-tailed and I like them better than the Dali tails xD
Idk about the ears though - I think it's mainly just breeder preference on what they like in their Tams. I haven't seen an updated "standard" for Tams in agesss, so I can't be sure.

I think the standards have changed over the years. Dali body/face seems to just be the most important part..

What, exactly, are mutt patches?

What, exactly, are mutt patches? Mutt patches are the white paws, tail tips, white chests etc that appear on the original mutt breed.
