Well most schools require at least 2 years of foreign language, and I'm curious what everyone here knows, haha.
I currently am pretty fluent in basic Italian, and have another year to go before I can really trust myself to go to Italy without sounding like a bad American tourist, lol. I was actually bad and bought a dictionary containing all the "dirty" words in the language... it amuses me so.
I also know some Japanese, after a semester in community college, but after 3 years... well I suck now, hahaha. I can understand the most basic things still, but... ohhh the grammar fails me lol.

Languages huh? Hmm.. well I was born into a french family, but after 15 years of mainly english, I think I must suck at it my now XD. I can read it, write it, understand it, and speak it O.o;;
As for Italien, I can read it.. but that's basically it, and that's only cause it's alot like french (even more so then spanish XD).
And that's really nifty. At my school, there's no language. Just english and french.. and that's it XD I guess that's what I get for living in Canada tho, right? lol. Anyways, the only language I'm fluent in is French. :3

I only know English of the spoken languages. I used to speak a bit of German and a bit of Ojibwa, but I don't remember much of either any more because I havent spoken them in over a decade. Not really a language, at least by most standards, but I can also speak fluent Sign Language.

I used to be fairly fluent in French (I've had four years in school of it, three in EF and one in high school). I don't speak much of it, as my brain apparently only holds the capacity of two languages. I've forgotten most of it, but I can understand people who speak French quite clearly. I am Polish, so I know some of the language but French replaced that and so I only speak with the basics though I can understand it (and Russian or Croatian, as they sound similar). Now it's Japanese though I cannot speak it or really understand it, but my iPod is aiding me in learning how to sing in it xD

I'd say I'm pretty fluent in English? Haha.
I'm totally fluent reading and writing Japanese (and not by reading mangas and watching anime, I totally legitimately KNOW Japanese, it was my first language).
ANDDD I can understand and mostly speak Hebrew, but not so well reading.
I speak a little francais, enough to get by in Paris, probably.

My first language is English(U.S) of course, but because the schools back in America I went to, you had to learn Spanish up until 6th grade. I have been trying to get better since then. I also want to learn how to speak complete, fluent German. (My father's parents are from Germany.)

^That's kinda crazy that a school forces you to take a language, but you don't have a choice in what you wanna take. My mom told me to take Spanish to get my BA, since we're getting a lot of Spanish-speaking peoples in Chicago, but I was like pfff, Italian plz.
They apparently offer Latin here, and I was tempted to take it... until I realized no one spoke it except in religious functions and since I'm not religious... I would know a dead language and still be screwed abroad, hahahah.

I leart French with lessons, and can write read and speak it, I leart Italian when I was really bored and read an Italian dictonary and I've had alot of lessons with it, and Portuguese just kinda came to me somehow. I'm not amazing with it but I know quite a bit.

I'm relatively fluent in Japanese and Spanish, moreso in the former. Though sadly I have to give up Japanese due to grade issues...
