This just popped into my head: are there breedz that are more challenging to get used to posing nicely to take photos of than others, or are they all about the same? (This isn't a question to get help with posing (showing doesn't interest me at all), I'm just curious. )

Oh yes, definitely. As far as catz go, B&Ws, Maine coons, persians, Russian blues, and tabbies are all the easiest posers, while oshies are the hardest because they're so scared of everything, including the camera. With dogz breeds you'll find different people saying different ones are hard--I've read lots of people say that they find chihuahuas hard to pose, for instance, but personally I find them one of the easiest breeds to pose. I'd say the hardest dogz breed to pose is the German shepherd by far--but not counting the P5 breeds, I'd say the most difficult dogz breed is probably the bulldog.

I can only speak for dogz since I don't show catz, but in terms of body shape, getting a perfectly-aligned dane pose out of anything with dane ears or chi ears requires a lot of patience and (usually) many attempts, especially if you also want a high head carriage to go with it. There are certain features of particular breeds that affect the difficulty for sure; just as another example, trying to get eyelids as even as possible for a mutt in dali pose. In terms of breed personality I agree that the bulldog can be a little difficult, though I also get frustrated with dachies for how often they swing their little butts out of alignment, lol. Individual pet personalities also come into it, though that's not an area I know much about - it's something that I do notice though as I pose a lot of dogz. Some offer up poses almost every time you click the camera, and some are more stubborn about it or prefer to do tricks instead.

Ah, that's interesting the Bulldog's included in both of your answers. I've a lot of Bulldogs/mixes in my menagerie so they must be a fave of mine. Good job I don't want to try showing them lol. I've also noticed the eyelids of some of my petz end up askew most of the time when I take a pic and they've decided to pose. I always praise them anyway for trying lol. Some of them are stubborn and run off or turn a lot as soon as the camera is out, so that's another reason why I don't attempt posing them. I have only so much patience lol.
