I have been showing Petz in earnest since 2014, so I have quite the collection of show petz to showcase here! Of course, with me having been showing before the "show revival" that happened here at RKC around 2017, that meant that when show rooms became a thing, I already had a number of show petz, and was already keeping track of their points on my journal (previously Livejournal, now Dreamwidth). On that note, this showroom will not replace my show records on my journal--this will act more as a supplement. I won't be posting the points totals of my petz here, and the titles may not be accurate (especially for Petz currently still being shown). For that information, check out my "main" show records right here!
What this will be is a way for me to show them off a little bit more, and blab on about them like the proud show mom I am lol.
SGCh PH's Take One Down, Pass It Around 99 Bottles of Beer on the Wall Adopted by me
The story behind 99 Bottles of Beer on the Wall, and his name, is a kind of funny one. One day in 2002, on a whim, I opened up the original Dogz game, which was still installed on my computer, and decided to adopt a chihuahua. Just for fun, I gave him a ridiculously long, silly name (the naming box in the original Dogz was around three to four times longer than it is in later games). I don't really know why, but the long-named dog endeared himself to me so much that I imported him to Petz 4 not long after. I posed him when the only copy of him I had was in 5, and uggh. NEVER AGAIN. Posing dogz in P5 is the worst. Luckily, he's now back in P4 thanks to PetFlux and enjoying his retirement.
SGCh PH's Look in My Eyes, I'm Still Alive Aaron Adopted by me (okay, technically my brother, but he's mine now)
AARON! It's fitting that one of my very first Petz comes first alphabetically (when you don't count 99, that is). He was one of the four Petz my brother and I adopted the very first day we played Petz 3, December 23 1998, and his mate is Princess the tabby. Aaron is generally fearful as befitting for an oshie, but he's not at all timid around Princess, and she can be tough to handle, so that's why I always say Aaron is more courageous than one might give him credit for! He's worn that outfit forever, to the point where he looks very strange to me naked. Of course he did his show career naked, and blasted through to SGCh at breakneck speed! Now he can be clothed again, lol
SGCh SWSK/PH's Lyrical Piano Aditya Bred by Salem@Mos Eisley
Aditya's looks are rather plain, but I think she looks quite lovely with her relatively slim body and of course those striking green eyes. I think she was one of the first chinchies I ever showed. Her name, and show name, don't really mean anything... sometimes I just grab a random phrase that sounds nice and use that for a show name when I don't have any other ideas. I still think it fits her simple elegance, though!
SGCh Blep/PH's Backup Plan Alternate Bred by Jill@Blep
Alternate is the first of my show petz to show up from Blep alphabetically... the first of many, lol. What can I say, I've kept a lot of the Petz I've received from the ABL, and many of those have made their way to the show ring! Alternate is very unique looking, and while smooth coats aren't always my favorite, Alternate's colors, including the alternating colors on her paws that gave her her name, really caught my eye. I intended to pose her in dali pose like most of my other dalis, but her sheepie ears made her look kind of silly... but then, just as I was bemoaning her ears, she turned her head and gave me this killer profile pose!
SGCh PH's Liars in Love Amarna Bred by me
Amarna technically only has one parent--I copied my chinchi Bobblehead, gender-swapped the copy, and bred them together. Talk about inbreeding lol. I was working on a breeding quest for PUGS, and the goal was a chinchi, which Amarna obviously isn't (her sibling is Crackle, who I think did fit the requirements for that specific challenge). But I was drawn to her smaller size, neat colors, and adorable chinchi personality, so I kept her. Her show name is from a song lyric, and while I don't think she's a liar, she definitely did fall in love with Dreamcast very quickly and made an awkward baby with him lol
SGCh Mika/PH's Yankee Burrito Amigo Bred by Mika@Lavender
What a pretty exotic! Red is my favorite fur color in Petz, and I of course always love pink eyes, too. There's a fast-food restaurant here in Nebraska called Amigos that used to have an item on their menu called a "Yankee Burrito"--it was basically just a hotdog rolled up in a tortilla. Not that I think Amigo here is a hotdog or anything, but the name amused me.
SGCh PH's Amparito Roca Amparito Bred by me
Amparito is one of my purebred, non-inbred alley catz. I know a lot of people disagree with me, but I really like dark brown eyes in Petz, and Amparito's look especially nice with his brown fur. His name comes from a piece we used to play in flute choir fairly often (I sure miss playing music in groups, thanks a bunch covid!...). He doesn't have a lot of cream alley patches; I think the OW I used at the time seemed to breed them out for some reason? Which is a bummer, since I really like them especially on the legs and ears. Oh well, Amparito still looks nice with just cream spots on his back (and I have a different OW now that passes along all the patches!).
SGCh Neko/PH's Once Upon a December Anastasia Bred by Kristina@NEKOmmunication
Such perfect colors! You'll probably see this from me a lot, but red fur plus green eyes is one of my absolute favorite looks in Petz. Anastasia's bobtail is so cute, too! I'm sure if you're a 90's kid like me you don't need me to explain her show name, but if you don't know, it's a beautiful song from the animated movie Anastasia. The Anastasia of the movie is a redhead, so it fits Anastasia the red dog pretty well I'd say lol
SGCh Thrope/PH's Fly to the Angels
Bred by Miss Ann Thrope
I absolutely love Anver's colors, and it's always fun to enter a scottie in the show ring! He's a bit of an odd one, though. He fights with most of the dogz I take out with him, but when I put them away he gets sad. I took his show name from the song by Slaughter.
SGCh PH's Magnificent Desolation Apollo Bred by me
I find Apollo a little boring looks-wise, but he is a homegrown tamsin from me, so that does make him pretty special. And yes, he is a true tamsin--two of his white feet are from his scottie markings, but the other two are mutt patches! And that one little spot on his left toe is just too adorable. His mother is Lydia, another dog I've showed! His show name comes from the Apollo 11 moon landing. Everyone knows Neil Armstrong's first words upon setting foot on the moon, but Buzz Aldrin's are just as poetic--when describing the lunar landscape, he called it simply "magnificent desolation".
SGCh Caprice/PH's Mi Estas Frago! Appuyer Bred by KiwioStarz@Capricious
Capricious was such a great site; I wish I had adopted more from them! And when you adopted from the site, the owner sent along show pics along with the pet! Although I seem to have lost the show pose that came with Appuyer; this is one I took myself. He's not the most visually striking dog out there, but I like how he's shorter and thicker than a regular dali mixie. I started showing him when I was learning Esperanto on Duolingo, and one of the sentences it gave you was "Mi estas frago!" which means "I'm a strawberry!" Ridiculous and nonsensical, but amusing nonetheless.
SGCh PH's Salvation a la Mode and a Cup of Tea Aqualung Bred by Bambi Vision
Aqualung is so handsome, and he knows it lol. He was bred by Bambi Vision, but with instructions to just use your own prefix when showing. I named him after the song Aqualung by Jethro Tull, and so of course his show name comes from the lyrics of the song. I had lots of options for his show name, since the middle part of the song is so lyrical. Fitting for such a pretty cat.
SGCh Blep/PH's We Have the Meats Arby Bred by Jill@Blep
haha, I love this girl so much. She has a meezer personality and is very sassy. And why don't more people breed full-size persians with chinchi bodies? It makes them look so compact, and I really like the look. Her show name of course comes from Arby's current slogan... although I don't eat there often, they got rid of the one menu item I really liked, darn them! lol
SGCh PH's One Giant Leap Armstrong Bred by me
Speaking of the moon landing lol. This may be hard to believe, but Armstrong's parents are actually two alley mixies! I wasn't expecting anything at all like Armstrong to come out of them. Perfect calico body, gypsy markings, and he even has a hidden chest patch and face streak! Personality-wise he isn't at all alley either--he's super friendly and love to play with all the toys!
SGCh Blep/PH's Straight to the Heart Artery Bred by Jill@Blep
Previously, every pet with chi ears that I'd shown was in dali pose, so I thought I'd challenge myself and see how well a chi-eared dog would do in profile. Artery blasted her way to SGCh in very little time, so I'd say it went very well! I just love how all her different parts come together--chi ears, scottie tail, sheepie feet. She's just so pretty!
SGCh PH's Strayed into a Dream Arwen Bred by me
I bred Arwen for a trade, but she was passed over--can you believe that?! She's so gorgeous! But hey, that means I get to keep her lol. I always loved the moment in Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring when Aragorn and Arwen are having a romantic moment, and Aragorn says that the first time he saw Arwen, he thought he had "strayed into a dream". Her father is Casper and her maternal grandmother is Peril!
SGCh PH's My Card Asher Bred by me
Asher is another one of my homegrown tamsins, scruffy and spotty and with two-toned ears, just the way I like them! He's also named after my stepson! At the time he was really into Pokemon, including the trading card game (I mean, I guess he still is lol), hence why his show name is a vague reference to cards. Not the same card necessarily, but I guess I could see this dog use calling cards in social situations, he's got that air of sophistication about him despite his scruffiness. His grandfather is Lafayette!
SGCh Boheme/PH's Such a Good Dog! Attaboy Bred by Jenn@Boheme
So Jenn@Boheme always had the greatest petz up for adoption in her PUGS shop, I spent so many points there lol. Sometimes she'd do two-for-one deals. Attaboy came in one of those, although I bought the two dogz because I really liked the other dog in the package, Corky. After showing Corky to SGCh and nearly forgetting about Attaboy, I figured I should give him some attention and give him his turn to shine in the show ring as well. And he killed it! I feel a little bad for sort of neglecting him before now--he's a great poser, a super happy and friendly dog, loves to dress up... he's such a good dog, attaboy!
SGCh PH's Pitch Correction Auto-Tune
Bred by me
I posted Auto-Tune on TFM, but nobody bid on him. What is wrong with you people lol. You all missed out, scruffy red doggo is mine now! His favorite toy is the green sneaker toy!
SGCh MW/PH's The Feeling of Belonging to Your Dreams Axel Bred by Meredith@Gorgonzola
Don't have much to say about Axel--he's your typical calm, unassuming RB. I adopted him back when I was first really getting into the social side of Petz on the forums rather than just lurking on websites, around 2013 or so, and I showed him not too long after that. He may be a little plain, but pink eyes will always grab me, and I love the way alley patches look on tabby coats. His show name is basically unrelated and comes from the lyrics of "Listen to Your Heart" by Roxette. If you haven't figured out by now I'm kind of bad at coming up with show names lol. Lots of them I just grab from whatever song I'm listening to at the time.
SGCh Cargo/PH's Kiss Me Deadly Ayelet Bred by Amanda@Cargo
Ayelet is one of my many petz adopted from Cargo. Isn't she precious? I've read many people say that chihuahuas are hard to pose, but I seem to be in the minority in regards to that--I think they're fun and easy to pose, second only to dalmatians as far as non-poodle dogz go. She's another example of "just grab a song title/lyrics for a show name since I can't come up with anything else"--in her case, the kick-butt song Kiss Me Deadly by Lita Ford.
Last Edit: May 6, 2021 21:43:18 GMT -5 by commander
Because who doesn't love bacon? His mother is Embrace, one of my foundation homegrown tamsins, although Bacon obviously didn't get the mutt patches and also has super short legs for some reason. I still think he's cute, though! And he rocks that bandana
SGCh Boheme/PH's Do a Banner Roll Banner Bred by Jenn@Boheme
This dog right here is who first convinced me of how stunning labs can be in the show ring. I mean, come on, look at that pose! Practically perfect! Banner himself is a bit of a doofus, though. Toys mostly confuse him. I guess he's a bit of a brainless beauty lol
SGCh Aussome/PH's The Castle Was Cold Batal Bred by Cath@Aussome
I adopted Batal from a MPA thread Cath had over at PCG. Chi-eared tamsins used to jump out at me a lot. They don't so much anymore, but Batal is still pretty cool--of course, I will always appreciate a nice red coat. And talk about an unrelated show name... I was watching Sesame Street videos when I first started showing him, and the line "the castle was cold" come from the Count's song "Batty Bat". I suppose it does sort of fit Batal, who not only has "bat" in his name but also has bat-like ears. Did I make this connection back when I came up with the show name? I honestly can't remember lol
SGCh Shotglass/PH's The Battle Cry of Freedom Battle Bred by Jesi@Shotglass
I got Battle in a grabbag with four other scottie mixies. I remember Jesi had similar grabbags for a few other breeds, and I would have grabbed the poodle one, but someone got to it first, so I settled for the scottie grabbag. I suppose it's just as well, since I have more poodles than scotties anyway and getting some nice scotties was certainly a treat! He's a good dog, eager to please, and his pose is killer. I'm not normally a fan of dusty/tan color combos, but his gorgeous green eyes are a nice counter to that and I think he's rather handsome!
SGCh DD/PH's Don't Stop Believin' Believe Bred by Cas@Devil's Den
I think Believe was another grabbag pet--I'm not 100% sure on that, though. What I am sure of is that either she or Bleep was the first oshie-personality cat I posed and showed. She's super pretty with her monochrome coloring and pink eyes! Scared of everything, of course. But maybe she's just a small-town girl, livin' in her lonely world...
SGCh PH's Large and in Charge Biggs Bred by me
The aptly-named Biggs is the son of one of my favorite older hexies, a HUGE (ie, two to three times bigger than Biggs) red white and blue B&W named Space Monster. I bred him hoping for red white and blue kittens, and/or big kittens, obviously not knowing how petz genetics worked at the time. I never did get catz as big as Space Monster, but Biggs and one of his brothers are at least big, anyway. He's got calico patches up the wazoo but I think they look nice on him; he'd be a little plain looking without them!
SGCh Flummery/PH's Coastway to the Heaven Zone Bilt Bred by Amber@Flummery
So... I actually have no memory of getting this dog? A search through my archived emails shows that I purchased her from TFM, although I honestly don't even remember that, augh! At any rate, even though I can't remember adopting her, I can certainly see why I adopted her. Isn't she cute with her dane ears and shorter legs? It makes her look kind of like a terrier. I got her show name from watching a hilarious Planet Coaster video by the YouTube channel Let's Game It Out, showing just how far the video game cruelty potential can go, in a park with a very misleading name.
SGCh Cargo/PH's Under the Midnight Blakelock Bred by Amanda@Cargo
Another grabbag pet! Amanda was giving out grabbags of petz she bred with her then-new beagle OW. Blakelock is my favorite of the four I got, not only for his beautiful looks, but also for his personality. He is a HAM. Always on the go, pulling ridiculous faces, just generally being a total goofball. In yet another instance of a show name coming from unrelated song lyrics, his comes from the song Magic by the Cars, which I was listening to nearly constantly at the time (and used different lyrics for a few other petz too lol)
SGCh PH's Watch Your Dirty Mouth Bleep Bred by me
Again, either Bleep or Believe was the first oshie-personality cat I showed. Bleep's personality isn't as obvious from say the pick-a-pet image as Believe's is, but only a few seconds of playing with him and his true colors shine through. Timid as all get out and terrified of life. Poor guy. He has a supreme grand championship under his belt, so at least that's something he can boast about!
MN/PH's Nuts and Bolts Bolt
Bred by Kel@Middle Night
So I really like tall scotties. There aren't a lot of them out there (well, there aren't a lot, period). I've been kind of meaning to work on my own tall scottie line, in addition to like ten other projects I keep thinking I should do lol. Anyway, I really like Bolt's coloring--grey and dusty look nice together, and I like how his only mutt patch is the one at the base of his tail.
SGCh DD/PH's Tabloid Nuisance Bonbon Bred by Cas@Devil's Den
Fairly certain again that Bonbon came from a grabbag. (Man, I got a lot of grabbags back in the day, didn't I?) I'd never seen before a B&W marked cat where the muzzle is colored separately from the body and feet! I don't know how common that is--maybe it is a super common occurrence for all I know, but still, Bonbon's blue muzzle has always stood out to me. She was shown to supreme grand champion long ago, and I honestly don't even remember where I got her show name from lol
SGCh PH's Evil Bishop Boniface Bred by me
Boniface is one of my purebred papillons! I've made it a point to show at least one of each purebred to supreme grand champion, although Boniface was actually the second papillon I showed, with Cosette being the first. Papillons are similar to chihuahuas, and like I said, I find chis fun and rewarding to pose, so posing papillons came pretty easily to me. His show name comes from back when my brother and I would actually act out stories with our chess pieces. We named all but one of the bishops after popes (with Boniface being one of them) and all but one were evil. Hence, evil bishop lol.
SGCh Blep/PH's Taking My Business Elsewhere Boycott
Bred by Jill@Blep
Boycott did amazing in the show ring! I like her thicker legs and short tail. She takes a while to warm up to new toys, but once she decides the toy is okay it's play, play, play!
SGCh Bec/PH's Primitive, Yet Evocative Bridget Bred by Bec
If you haven't figured it out by now, I'm always on the lookout for show-worthy chis! Bridget is adorable and she's super fun, too. She likes wearing sweaters a lot.
SGCh PH's All I Need is a Miracle Bristol Bred by me
Back when I reinstalled Petz 3 and was getting more involved with the community, I was trying to build up a P3/4 crew, since most of my petz before then were stuck in 5. Cirrutopia had some downloadable adoptions that had been bred with the Bernese mountain dog OW. I downloaded a bunch of them and bred them with the original files, Bristol being one of the results. She's kind of plain looking and nowadays I'm not sure if I would have kept her, but I always love red, and two-toned ears, and she and her siblings filled out my early P3/4 crew nicely. Her show name comes from the song of the same name by Mike + the Mechanics.
SGCH PH's Brassica Oleracea Broccoli Bred by me
OMG THIS DOG. LOOK AT HIM. LOOK AT THIS PERFECTION. Ahem. So I was breeding some of my dachshunds one day for petz to put up on PUGS. This guy popped out and immediately I was like "well, he's staying!" He has a dalmatian personality and enjoys posing, and is very playful! Such a delight in every way imaginable. He was the pet I showed off in my signature and avatar at PCG.
SGCh PH's Splish Splash Bubblebath Bred by me
Bubblebath has a lot of show dogs in her family tree--Buttercream is her mother, her paternal grandmother is Nillat, and her paternal grandfather is one of my four "foundation" tamsins born to Garnet and South! I really like the look of orange eyes matched with a small accent of orange fur.
SGCh FH/PH's Gunny Sack Burlap Bred by Celia@Filthy Hippie
Another grabbag pet, at least I'm pretty sure he was. I really love his oshie-textured coat. And while I like most people like the chest patch and face streak combo, I also really like the look of just a face streak on its own, and prefer a sole face streak to a sole chest patch. It was awhile ago that I showed him, but I remember that he reached the supreme grand champion title very quickly.
SGCh PH's Delectable Birthday Cake Buttercream Bred by me
Buttercream is admittedly rather plain looking, but showing is in her blood--her daughter is Bubblebath and her father is Dhara! And let's be honest, when you're getting a birthday cake, if it doesn't have buttercream frosting then it's just not worth it lol
SGCh PH's Cute as a Button Button Bred by me
Another non-inbred purebred, this time a chinchilla persian! Button is very outgoing and social. She seems to have much more energy than your typical chinchi.
Last Edit: Apr 5, 2021 9:57:54 GMT -5 by commander
Caffeine was bred similarly to how I bred Bristol--I downloaded some petz from Cirrutopia and bred them in order to have some more chihuahuas for my P3/4 crew. I of course love his red fur and two-toned ears. He is high-strung as is typical for chis, so his name is rather fitting--he sometimes he acts as if he's consumed too much caffeine lol
SGCh PH's Blue Morning, Blue Day Caleb Bred by me
I bred Caleb when breeding for adoptions to put up on PUGS, but he was another quick keep-back. I just love how all his colors come together and make him look so unique. His shorter dali legs do sometimes throw me off, though lol. He actually has a dali personality, too! His mother is Tracy, and for a time I was actually showing them at the same time, so that was kind of fun to see a mother/son duo in the show ring together. His show name comes from the song by Foreigner, which I used for Caleb because... he's blue. lol
SGCh PH's Tidal Lock Callisto Bred by me
Callisto is one of my very oldest petz--she is the second-born child of Dana and Rufus, my two oldest dogz. Mixing a great dane and a sheepdog can sometimes result in... awkward mixes, lol, but I love how pretty Callisto is, with her mostly sheepdog build--the only dane parts she inherited from her mother are her ears and personality. I did hex her eyes a few years ago to make them bigger, since I've become completely spoiled by the sheepdog eye fix OW lol. I got her show name from looking up facts of the moon Callisto of Jupiter, and found out that it has a tidal lock, meaning I guess that the same side always faces Jupiter, just like our moon. So that's pretty cool.
SGCh Boheme/PH's Cardinal Sin Cardinal Bred by Jenn@Boheme
I know, I know--a red, scruffy scottie coat? I adopted this pet? Surely you jest! lol, what can I say, I like what I like, and I definitely like Cardinal. He absolutely loves to dress-up, it's his favorite thing in the world
SGCh MJ/PH's A Place Where the Sun Still Shines Carleton Bred by Becca@Sungraze
I normally only like dalis and chis in dali pose, but I was having trouble getting a good profile pose from Carleton, and his dali pose did look pretty good, so I just went with that, and he did very well in the show ring. I had no clue what show name to give him, and I was listening to the song "Always" by Bon Jovi, so I just grabbed some lyrics from the song in my usual lazy, uncreative fashion. Carleton is confused by most toys, but he does like squeaky fish toys for some reason lol
MSGCh DD/PH's Mug-O-Rita Carlos Bred by Cas@Devil's Den
Carlos is one of the earliest dogz I showed, and I just entered him in lots of shows without really keeping track, and he did very well... hence his title of master supreme grand champion (he has 49 show points, oops lol). I got his show name from the margaritas in mugs that the Mexican restaurant Carlos O'Kelly's sells. They're one of my favorite restaurants, but there aren't any in Omaha anymore! There is still one in Lincoln but I'm not in Lincoln very often. So sad. #firstworldproblems
SGCh DS/PH's Sweet Caroline Caroline Bred by Willow
Good times never seemed so good! Come on, we all know the song. I love Caroline's MC fur texture, chinchi ears, and of course her green eyes! I normally hate orange eyelids on a non-orange pet, but luckily Caroline's match her feet, so I think they look pretty cool on her! I've had Caroline for awhile; I showed her back when Willow's prefix was DS.
SGCh PH's Can I Keep You? Casper Bred by me
Casper is so pretty being all-white, which is why I named him after a ghost (and I got his show name from the live-action movie, which I watched a million times as a kid). And I of course love his super dark eyes, too! His daughter is Arwen
SGCh PH's Raise a Glass Chardonnay Bred by me
Here's another one of my non-inbred purebreds. I gave most of the members of this particular family of meezers wine-related names. I actually don't like white wine that much (I much prefer red wine), but if I have to drink a white wine, chardonnay is what I'll pick. Chardonnay the cat is your typical snooty meezer lol. She has such a nice pose, though, so I'd say she's deserved some of her ego lol
SGCh Morbit/PH's Social Distancing Chenille Hexed by Skinstealers@BAD_DEATH
The first hexie to show up here! Chenille is the one pet I got from the Whiskerwick 2019 advent calendar (which was still one more than I got in 2020 lol), and I wasn't even intending on getting a pet from there at all--I was there to download all the toys and breeds that were available. But I happened to see that this pretty cat was somehow still available, so I jumped at the chance to own her! She's a RB so posing comes naturally to her. I started showing her in March or April of 2020, which was of course when social distancing became necessary, and her show name will always pinpoint the point in time when she was active in the show ring lol
SGCh DS/PH's Mini Paper Umbrella Cherries Bred by Willow
Another textured, chinchi eared kitty from Willow! I love Cherries' dark eyes. She poses with a kink in her tail, which is unfortunate, but she did eventually make it to supreme grand champion in the end. The yarn ball is her best friend. Her show name is quite a reach lol. I was thinking about when cherries are added to cocktails/mixed drinks, especially tropical ones, and how they'll often also come with a mini paper umbrella.
SGCh WAA/PH's Cup of Christmas Cheer Chris Hexed by Lily@Wild Abyss of Angels
Chris is one of the four of CatCreature's foamy calicoes that I'm lucky enough to own. His pose is absolutely fantastic and he earned his supreme grand championship very quickly! His "sibling" is Candy (and his original name was Cane to fit with the theme, but unfortunately I already had a Cane) and her pose is also awesome, but I'm going to wait to show her until it's Christmas time again, which as of this writing will be awhile lol
SGCh PH's Mum's the Word Chrysanthemum Adopted by me
Chrysanthemum is from SexpotLida's awesome shiba inu file! I mean, all her breed files are awesome lol. I use the OWs so Chrysanthemum is technically a mutt, but she is still an awesome poser! Super cute, super fun, just a super dog.
SGCh PH's Time for Me to Fly Cleo Bred by me
Cleo was actually bred in the same manner as Bristol (she might even be related to Bristol)--I downloaded some BMDs from Cirrutopia and bred them together, but this time I used Cargo's beagle OW. I absolutely love Cleo's colors and markings! She looks so much like a "true" beagle, albeit one with spots lol. I was really in to the song Time for Me to Fly by REO Speedwagon when I first started showing her.
SGCh PH's Put the Lime in the Coconut Coconut Bred by me
"DOCTOR! Ain't there nothing I can take, I said DOCTOR! To relieve this belly ache!" Coconut is a purebred, non-inbred lab, and the name Coconut seemed fitting for an all-white dog! And of course, his show name couldn't be anything else but from the Harry Nilsson song. I guess that's why he wears that (lime) green bandana--I literally put the lime on the Coconut! (I only just realized that while typing this lol)
SGCh Sheba/PH's Grassroots Campaign Congaree Bred by Shebaatje
Shebaatje always bred such gorgeous petz, didn't she? I think I got Congaree in a grabbag from her, but I knew even before getting the petz that I'd love everything I got lol. I named him after a national park in South Carolina that I visited with my family over a decade ago now. When looking up more about the park to try to find a good show name for him, I read that the park's formation was apparently a grassroots campaign, and I didn't have any better ideas lol. Congaree enjoys sitting on ledges and ignoring me
SGCh Blep/PH's A Cat-Astrophe Connor Bred by Jill@Blep
Another ABL acquisition. Connor's been moving up the show ranks slowly, thanks to his rather awkward mismatch of parts lol. With wonky calico eyelids, a skinny meezer body, and a ginormous chinchi tail that just makes the rest of him look even skinnier, I knew showing him would be a challenge, but sometimes I get bored of showing the same-old, same-old, you know? It took him awhile, but he can now finally proudly brag about his supreme grand champion status. I got his name from a Disney Junior show that my daughter used to watch a lot, PJ Masks (I ended up really liking the show too, I even wrote fanfic for it lol). The character Catboy (real name Connor) often makes cat-related puns in his exclamations, like declaring bad situations to be "a cat-TASROPHE!"
SGCh PH's Gangster's Paradise Coolio Bred by me
Coolio is another super-oldie and very special pet to me. He's the third child of Dana and Rufus, and their first boy. He's actually very neat and tidy, especially for being a dane/sheepie mix. His mate also happens to have a name starting with the letter C, so all of their children do too. And the baseball cap is basically a permanent fixture on him--he's another one of those petz who look very strange to me unclothed.
SGCh Boheme/PH's Edge of Seventeen Corky Bred by Jenn@Boheme
As recounted on the A entry, Corky was a two-for-one deal with Attaboy. With his fuzzy red coat and green eyes, I of course wanted Corky the instant I saw him. I'm so predictable sometimes lol. I was listening to Stevie Nicks' song Edge of Seventeen when coming up with his show name, in yet another instance of "I have no clue what show name to give this pet, so I'll just grab one from a song."
SGCh PH's Castle on a Cloud Cosette Bred by me
Cosette is another one of my purebred, non-inbred papillons! I took her name and show name from Les Miserables. With most of my P5 breed purebreds, I gave all my related petz names starting with the same letter so I could tell at a glance who's related to who--my group of papillons are A and B, for example. But I was having so much trouble trying to get a cream one (in my quest to have a purebred of every breed in every color, because I'm a "gotta catch 'em all" player that way lol) that I had to breed one of the A's to one of the B's to get one--hence, Cosette is related to most of my other papillons. (Although she's not related to the pink-eyed papillon I bred, so she could still have inbred-free puppies that way!)
SGCh Fiction/PH's Eatibus Almost Anythingus Coyote Bred by Lovecraft@Fiction
I got Coyote from TFM. At the time I had a very strange hankering to have a super fuzzy, brown tamsin, and Coyote here was basically just what I was looking for! I love cartoons, especially Looney Tunes, and Wile E. Coyote is my all-time favorite cartoon character, so in honor of him I took Coyote's show name from one of the fake Latin names for Wile E. Coyote that pop up at the beginning of each cartoon.
SGCh PH's Snap, Crackle, Pop Crackle Bred by me
Crackle is Amarna's brother, and more what I was expecting from breeding his mother to herself lol. He is extremely calm and chill, but he'll play with toys if the mood strikes him. I really love how the four colors on his tail go in order from lightest to darkest--I think that is just such a cool look!
SGCh PH's Waiting for Redemption Crent Bred by me
Crent is one of my purebred, non-inbred dalmatians. Dalmatians are actually probably one of my least favorite breeds--I don't have anything really against them, I just find them kind of boring, I guess? But when breeding them I can at least see the appeal. It's fun seeing the different spot patterns show up! And I really like the two-toned ears--a lot of my dalmatians have that, and I really love the look. For some reason I gave most of my earliest purebred dalmatians one-syllable names, and I've kept that naming pattern with every new one I get, unless it already came with a name. I took Crent's show name from the song Dela by Johnny Clegg. I first heard it in the George of the Jungle movie as a kid, but I recently re-discovered it--it's such a great song.
SGCh Cargo/PH's Chilly Reception Cricket
Bred by Amanda@Cargo
Aren't Cricket's colors just so, so pretty? She's your typical sweet calico, loves to play with all the toys, and is a total camera hog. She knows how photogenic she is.
SGCh PH's Caesar Salad Crouton Bred by me
Crouton is one of eight tamsins I bred specifically to be show dogs. When I started showing dogz, I quickly realized that dalmatians are some of the easiest to pose, so I wanted to have a group of them in P3 to enter into shows. There were some downloadable tamsins on Cargo at the time, and I also grabbed some of the downloadable ones on Fiction and Cirrutopia, bred them all together, and kept eight of them that I liked. I really like the way Crouton's fur and eye colors go together, and of course I love his scruffy scottie coat too.
SGCh PH's Demolition Woman Crumpet Bred by me
Crumpet is Coolio's granddaughter! She is a super neat-looking dog. When I went to pose her, I intended on getting her in profile pose, but she gave me such a great dali pose, even eyelids and everything, that I just went with that instead. And she did super well in the show ring, too! I took her show name from the line "demolition woman, can I be your man?" in Def Leppard's song Pour Some Sugar on Me. (Also, what the what is she doing with her front legs in this picture lol)
SGCh PH's Forever and a Day Cumberland Bred by me
Another puredbred non-inbred from yours truly. Cumberland was one of the very first dogz I showed, and I posed him in P5, and, uh... I'm not exactly sure he's actually posing correctly? And even if he is, this isn't a very good pose. Well, everyone's gotta start somewhere, right? And he did make it to supreme grand champion with this pose anyway. Since showing him, he's been fluxed to P4, and I've also fixed his eye size and hexed his eyelids to black. He'd probably do a lot better in the show ring now that I actually know what I'm doing, but oh well. Sorry, Cumberland! Somebody's gotta be the guinea pig.

SGCh Cargo/PH's Cocktail Hour Daiquiri Bred by Amanda@Cargo
Daiquiri was adopted from a sort of grabbag situation--there were different types of catz available, and you could put in a request for a few of the certain types. "Giant alley" was one of the options. I requested one and got Daiquiri here! He has a MC personality and his pose is fabulous, of course. He's also an excellent breeder! I've adopted out a ton of his kittens in places like PUGS and TFM and the like. He very reliably produces very cute kittens!
SGCh PH's Den Mother Dana Adopted by me
Dana is my oldest dogz, and a very dear and beloved member of my crew! She was the first pet I adopted upon getting Petz 3 for Christmas in 1998. Her mate is Rufus the sheepdog. I made a very long post about my oldest petz when PetFlux first came out and I was finally able to get them all back in P3/4, and in it I described Dana as sort of like a "den mother" due to her personality, which I ended up using for her show name shortly afterwards. I can't imagine Petz without this girl!
SGCh PH's A Truth Universally Acknowledged Darcy Bred by me
One of my purebred, non-inbred Egyptian maus, with a beautiful red coat and matching red eyes! Darcy is very calm and collected and has no time for shenanigans. I took his show name from the first line of Pride and Prejudice, because the first thing I think of when I hear the name Darcy is the enigmatic Mr. Darcy from the novel.
SGCh PH's Quiet Quest Darla Bred by me
Because sometimes... sometimes I just want to show something super awkward, you know? Darla is Mephistopheles's daughter and is descended from Princess and Aaron. Her name comes from a YouTube channel that has study/relaxation music that I like to listen to while working, although it's actually not a very fitting name for Darla--she has a calico personality and is actually quite noisy, lol
SGCh PH's This, But Non-Sarcastically Davy Bred by me
Davy's lineage is pretty special. He's a grandchild of Sophisto and Pouncer (his father is Mandark), a great-great-grandchild of Princess and Aaron, and is also descended from my foundation pair of calicoes, Calicoo and Jester. Since he's descended from all the catz my brother originally owned, I named him after him. I actually attempted to show him many, many years ago (I'm talking like when I was in high school), and in the first show I entered him, I think he did place but the host of the show told me "that black line on his legs makes it look like you edited the picture, which is cheating, I'll let it slide this time but don't cheat again". I was taken aback because of course I didn't edit the picture, his legs are just that way naturally... but I didn't show him again for a long while because I was afraid that other judges might accuse me of cheating too. I brought him back into the show ring a few years ago and he did very well, and of course we all know that those legs just naturally have a thick outline (as do, you know, many other catz...)
RCh Cargo/PH's Color Explosion Day-Glo
Hexed by Amanda@Cargo
I took a chance on writing an app for Day-Glo because I knew I would kick myself if I didn't try, although I didn't really expect to get her since I knew that Amanda probably got a ton of apps for these guys. But, lo and behold, I got her! In addition to being super pretty and colorful, Day-Glo is also very energetic, constantly running around the screen, usually with a toy in her mouth.
SGCh SW/PH's Negative Sandwich Deirdre Bred by Anne@Still Water
Aw man, I'd be fine with Deirdre's calico patches if not for that orange one on her left paw, it clashes so bad! lol, at least you can't see it in her show pose. She's a purebred calico, although I'm pretty sure she's inbred. Still Water Cattery and Kennel had lots of pretty purebred calicoes up for adoption, and Deirdre is one of a handful I have from them. When I first started showing her, I was learning French on Duolingo, and when it was describing how to negate something in French you have to put "ne" in front of the verb and "pas" after it, and it described it as a "negative sandwich"! I thought that was kind of a funny phrase lol
SGCh PH's Afternoon Delight Delight Bred by me
There's not that much to say about Delight--bred by me, super pretty, your typical scared oshie, all that jazz. If memory serves correctly she is another pet who reached her supreme grand championship and retirement very quickly.
SGCh Blep/PH's Games People Play Delilah Bred by Jill@Blep
Another ABL acquisition from Blep. Delilah is super pretty--as usual, I adore her green eyes, and the little spots on her muzzle are just too cute. In addition to being a good poser, Delilah also enjoys jumping through hoops! I took her show name from the song by the Alan Parsons Project.
SGCh PH's Fallen Angel Denise
Bred by me
Denise was bred as part of my breeding service when that was still running. She was passed over by the original requester, so I quickly took her in--I can't resist giant chis. She has a dali personality, and is pretty calm--she seems more interested in grooming herself than in most toys. Her name comes from the song by the band Poison because I'm running out of ideas for show names, help me...
SGCh Aussome/PH's Make Our Own Lightning Dhara Bred by Cath@Aussome
The OW that Dhara was bred with is the flat-coated retriever one, if I remember right. Cath put up a bunch of pups she bred with the file on PCG, and Dhara's one of the three I adopted. He passed along his show genes in great fashion--his daughter is Buttercream and his granddaughter is Bubblebath! When I first started showing him I was listening to the song Cherry Cherry by Neil Diamond pretty much nonstop, and his show name is a line from the song.
SGCh Blep/PH's Drat and Double Drat! Dick Dastardly Bred by Jill@Blep
On paper, it's kind of surprising that I kept this cat, since I'm normally not a fan of these two fur colors together and he's got a skinny meezer body to boot. But I don't know, something about him just makes me really like him. He's a tabby personality and is pretty sociable, although he's unimpressed by most toys lol. At the time I got him I was super in to the new (2017) Wacky Races show on Boomerang, so of course I had to name a pet after my favorite character. Probably the only way I could get away with calling a petz Dick, lol
SGCh Emma/PH's Hickory Dickory Doc Dickory Bred by Emma@Loser
I think I got Dickory (and Dismal, and another dog I haven't shown yet) from a sort of grabbag-like thread where just the names of the petz were given, and the pictures were given, but they weren't matched with each other so it was a sort of "try your luck" type thing. At least that's how I'm remembering it. I don't think I would have adopted Dickory otherwise, since I don't really care for smooth dachie coats or grey/slothy eyes, but this was not long after I reinstalled P3 and needed some new petz to have in my crew, so he stayed with me. Dickory is a bit of an odd one. His way of playing with toys is to just smack them around lol
SGCh PH's Dipped in Handsomeness Dipstick Adopted by me
Dipstick's existence owes itself entirely to my need to have as full a set of things as possible lol. When I got P5, I wanted to breed both a dog and a cat with all 15 breeds, and also to have them related to my main couples. The 15 breed catz were Davy's children, so they're descended from all my main catz couples, and the 15 breed dogz was descended from both Dana and Rufus and my foundation poodle pair, Pink and Slate. To get the other breeds I needed I adopted them from the AC and bred them together in a relatively structured way. So once the project was done, I had at least one AC pet of every original breed... except dalmatian. The dalmatian in my 15 breed pet came from Darth Vader, who is Xena's (Dana and Rufus's first child) mate and is a dane/dalmatian I adopted from the Petz.com matchmaking service back when they offered that. I don't think I ever actually owned a purebred dalmatian in P3 or 4. And, well, the gap was bugging me, so I went and adopted Dipstick, naming him for his lovely tail. (His mate is one of Dana and Rufus's grandchildren.) Dipstick is one of the first dogz I showed--he really, really likes to pose, so I took the time to get a pose out of him in P5, which was... tough. lol. Good thing Dipstick's eagerness made the ordeal slightly easier!
SGCh Emma/PH's Tears of a Clown Dismal Bred by Emma@Loser
Like Dickory, Dismal was adopted from a sort of "blind" adoption post. I picked a fittingly dismal show name to go with her call name, but her name actually doesn't fit her at all. She's pretty energetic and trots everywhere, so it's hard to keep up with her sometimes lol.
SGCh Neko/PH's Like a Telegram to Your Soul Dispatch Bred by Kristina@NEKOmmunication
I got Dispatch in a grabbag with a few other sheepies. I really love his pink eyes with his fur colors. I took his show name from a line from the song Missing You by John Waite, although I think the line is actually "telegraph", not "telegram". Can't believe I messed that up lol
SGCh Pinto/PH's Daydream Believer Division Bred by Pinto
This dog is just so pretty! I love his green eyes and two-toned ears. And obviously, he's an amazing poser and reached his supreme grand champion title in very short time. He's a good, sweet dog, too, always bringing me toys! Unrelated show name comes from the Monkees
SGCh PH's Your Frankenstein Doctor Feelgood Bred by me
The logical conclusion of my "collect every variety" habit came with my purebred poodles, realizing that with two different color areas and ten colors, there were one hundred different color combinations possible with poodles, and with this information I thought "well, I'd better breed the ones I don't already have!" Doctor Feelgood is one of those approximately 55 poodles that came from that "little" project lol. The picture of him on my crew page has him leaping straight into the air, so I thought of him as being very energetic, but now that I've actually gotten to know him better as part of my show crew I've found that he's actually very reserved and calm. I named him after the Motley Crue song, and his show name comes from the lyrics of the song.
SGCh PH's Lacy Tablecloth Doily Adopted by me
I like pretty much all of SexpotLida's breed files, but I think the cane corso one might be my favorite... I just love their size, the shape of their muzzle, their ears whether full or cropped... I just love them! Doily has a great fur texture and I love her two different colored eyes. She's a sweetie, likes to sit and relax instead of exerting too much energy
SGCh PH's Second-Hand News Donovan Bred by me
Donovan was one of my last petz to be born in P5 before PetFlux, and as such, he's related to a bunch of my other older tamsins. In the show ring alone he's closely related to Jellyroll (grandmother), Asher (great-grandfather), and Stalemate (great-great grandmother), and of course is descended from all of Asher's ancestors too. I love how Donovan's spots cover up his mutt patches, like that little one halfway up his front right leg. Took his show name from a Fleetwood Mac song.
SGCh Shotglass/PH's Deliciously Challenging Doodad Bred by Jesi@Shotglass
So it's been awhile, but if I'm remembering right I think I got Doodad from a breeding service. I remember we were only allowed to pick one and there were two that I really liked, but I finally narrowed it down to Doodad here. Then, a little while later, Jesi gave out some grabbags, and in the grabbag I got was the other cat I really wanted. So win-win! lol. Doodad is your typical lazy persian, fluffy and content to do nothing all day lol
SGCh PH's ¡Hola, Soy Dora! Dora Bred by me
Another non-inbred purebred, Dora is one of my favorites of my mutts because of, no surprise, her red fur and green eyes. Mutts were actually one of the last breeds I attempted to show... for the longest time I was super intimidated at the thought of showing them with their eyelids being the way they are. I worried for nothing, though--Dora posed well and did well in shows regardless! I don't think I actually named her after Dora the Explorer, but a reference to her made the perfect show name
SGCh Blep/PH's Servants' Quarters Downstairs Bred by Jill@Blep
Downstairs is another ABL pet and I really liked her somewhat offbeat looks and smaller size. It's sometimes nice to see a dali face with a different body! Her ears betray her true nature--she's actually a scottie personality. So of course she's always digging, lol
SGCh Lavender/PH's One Hundred Words Drabble Bred by Mika@Lavender
I think that Mika bred a lot of poodles like this as a selective breed, although I can't recall what the name of the breed was. I do have another one, but Drabble is the only one I've entered in shows. (She has a dane personality!) Her name comes from a fanfic term for a story that consists of exactly one hundred words. I've only written a couple myself--my writing style tends to go far beyond one hundred words, as I'm sure you can probably tell by most of these descriptions...
SGCh WAA/PH's Awaiting the Stage Dreamcast Bred by Lily@Wild Abyss of Angels
I got Dreamcast from CatCreature's breeding service here where you picked two groups of letters and she'd breed you something with petz whose names started with those letters. When she posted my results and gave me info on the catz, she said that Dreamcast was doing a lot of show poses for her. I don't think I would have adopted him otherwise, but with that description it seemed only natural to adopt him and add him to my show crew. And it turned out very fortuitous for Dreamcast in the end, because not only did he gain a supreme grand champion title, but he also found true love at first sight with Amarna and is now the proud father of... well, an awkward cat indeed, but that's probably due to Amarna's genetics lol
SGCh FDL/PH's I'm Not As Think As You Drunk I Am Drunk Bred by Bailey@Fleur de Lis
Drunk came in a grabbag. I really love his fuzzy coat and tall legs! He's super fun and playful, and I promise he's actually sober--he's never had a whiff of the catnip lol
SGCh Boheme/PH's Sing with Me Duet Bred by Jenn@Boheme
I'm pretty sure Duet came from a grabbag too. I remember naming him a sort of "double" name because he looked similar to Rewritten, who I had recently bred. Duet likes to lie down on the floor and contemplate life, a very philosophical dog here.

SGCh Caliber/PH's Upon Eagle's Wings Eagle's Wings Bred by Caliber
Back when I was in high school, and the only purebreds I bred were calicoes and poodles, I happened to breed a pink-eyed calico one day and was ECSTATIC. I immediately set out to find him a pink-eyed mate. The website Caliber offered purebred calicoes (I think they might have specialized in them?) and I applied for Eagle's Wings here mostly due to her eyes. In retrospect, though, what an amazing calico! She doesn't have any little cali patches and I'm pretty sure that it's natural, and she has selfie eyelids too. Showing her was an easy decision because she actually came with a show name, so I didn't have to think of one! lol. Not that her show name is much different from her call name...
SGCh PH's Fuzzy Pickles EarthBound Bred by me
Another one of my purebred non-inbred group, I named EarthBound after one of my husband's favorite video games. I assume any gamers here will probably be more familiar with the game than I am lol. I even had my husband help me come up with a show name for him in relation to the game. Not only does it fit with his call name (so I'm told), but it does kind of match him physically as well, being fuzzy and all lol
SGCh Nepchoon/PH's The Writing's on the Wall Eder Bred by Nepchoon
This guy right here has always been one of my favorite catz. I know he might look plain to some, but I love his dark brown eyes and how they match his coat... his fuzzy, fuzzy coat. I think he might have been one of the first catz who made me realize just how much I love the alley fuzz. I remember Nepchoon's was one of my favorite sites back in the early 2000's, and I'm honestly kind of surprised that Eder's the only pet I have from them. Eder is Memory's father.
SGCh PH's A Night on the Town Elera Bred by me
Elera's parents were the exotic persian breeding pair that was available to download from Cargo. Elera is obviously not the exotic I was aiming for, but I still kept her because I thought she was pretty. I actually named her after a fanfic writer I followed back in high school, and her show name is the name of my favorite of her fanfics (which isn't online anymore, which is a shame, but I don't blame her since I'm kind of ashamed of everything I wrote back then too lol). Elera the cat is unaffected by everything. She just likes to sit and look pretty, and she hardly notices toys or clothes.
SGCh PH's Wrap Your Arms Around Me Embrace Bred by me
I've mentioned them before, but now I can finally talk properly about my four "foundation" tamsins born to Garnet and South! I've only shown two of the four, but I kind of like to talk about them all as a group, since I love how they all look distinct from each other but also have enough similarity to show that they're related. They all have the exact same mutt patches, the same one brown ear and brown eyelids, and the same eye color, but they're all easily told apart too--two have smoother coats (Embrace and Freeze) while two have scruffy scottie coats (Lafayette and Napoleon), and two are dusty (Embrace and Napoleon) while two are white (Freeze and Lafayette). Every tamsin I bred in P5 was descended from one of these four, and they're all Dana and Rufus descendants too!
SGCh PH's Terminally Pretty Emily Bred by me
Emily is a little plain looking, but she's descended from Princess and Aaron as well as Sophisto and Pouncer, so she belongs to both of my major original catz families. I actually bred her when I was studying abroad in Argentina! I took my laptop with me, but couldn't connect it to the internet (only the main computer of my host family was connected), so I spent a lot of my free time just pairing off the otherwise unattached petz I had in my folders. Emily is a little bit of a worrywart, but she does love to play with every toy there is. I took her show name from the lyrics of the song Life in the Fast Lane by the Eagles.
SGCh Pearflower/PH's The Real Slim Shady Eminem Bred by ParanoiaPaige@Pearflower
I purchased Eminem from TFM. She was bred with the B&W and calico OWs from Cargo and has a sweet chinchi personality. And yes, I said she. When I bid on her I expected her to be male due to her name, but when I won her and put her in my game I found out otherwise, lol. Male or female, she's still the real Slim Shady.
SGCh PH's The Importance of Being Ernest PKC G3 Ch The Importance of Being Ernest at Powerhouse Ernest Bred by me
Pugs are actually one of my favorite dog breeds in real life, but they were some of the last of the non-inbred purebreds I bred. The P5 pug file is... um, a disaster. The face is appalling with just a black dot for the nose, and when bred the colors patch all over instead of staying one color throughout the dog (the P5 German shepherd is the same way). I found fixed OWs for most of the other broken P5 breed files, but I had so much trouble finding one that fixed the pug (this was before Jewellz put fixed unibreeds for all the files on Reverie, I essentially had to track these down one by one). When I found Anystar's fixed pug file it was kind of like a godsend lol. It does look a little different from the Ubisoft file, but I like some of the touches it has like curled tails on some of the pups and that cute little oval nose. Ernest is extra special because he's my first petz who is both a supreme grand champion in forum/website shows, and is also a PKC champion with ten out of ten conformation points! He was actually only my second pet to reach championship there. Funnily enough, after all that Ernest actually doesn't like to pose very much. He gets grumpy and angrily barks at me during posing sessions lol. Obviously he does eventually cooperate.

SGCh JYD/PH's Fading into You Fading Bred by junkyarddogg
I adopted Fading from TFM. I find her to be just so pretty with her dark eyes and matching alley spots. Fading is kind of a jerk, though. She doesn't get along with most other catz and kind of ignores me, too. She does seem to like Star, but hey, who doesn't? lol. I named her after the song Fading by Alle Farben, which I had never heard of until two different reviewers, completely separately of each other, told me that the song reminded them of one of my fanfics. After listening to it, I agree with them!
SGCh LF/PH's All the Miles that Separate Falka Bred by Arie@Litterz Factory
I just love Falka's red, white, and blue coloring! She's a calico personality, as is probably evident by her uneven eyelids in her show pose, and loves to play with all the toys. She's so fun! I took her show name from the lyrics from Here Without You by 3 Doors Down, when I was kind of in a mood to just listen to sad/depressing songs.
SGCh PH's Thou Naughty Varlet Falstaff Bred by me
Another P5 tamsin bred by me, a grandchild of Garnet and South, Falstaff's markings are really cool--he has every mutt patch possible except for the chest patch! If only his eyes were a nicer color, but oh well lol. He was named after a Shakespeare character and I took his show name from Shakespeare as well. Falstaff's hobbies include walking in endless circles and being dumb (Also, I must have hexed his eyelids at some point, but I don't remember doing that? Weird lol)
SGCh PH's Bohemian Rhapsody Fandango Bred by me
Fandango is one of my purebred, non-inbred great danes, and his name reminded me of Bohemian Rhapsody, hence his show name. He's one of my prettiest danes, I think--I like his dark brown muzzle and black muzzle marking against his lighter main body and eye color. He was not in the show ring for very long at all before earning his supreme grand champion title.
SGCh Orca/PH's Please, No Autographs Fantastic Bred by Abby@Orca
I know, I know, try to contain your jealousy lol. This dog's name is basically exactly what I think of him. When I saw him up for adoption on Orca I was already taken in by his huge proportions, but when I actually got him in game I fell even more in love. He's a sheepdog personality, trots, and is generally just a giant goober. I cannot get enough of him
SGCh Rainy/PH's Dreams Unwind Fate Bred by Rainy
I can't remember if Fate is a cat I adopted separately or if I got her in a grabbag, but either way, she's so pretty! She has a persian personality but is a little more active than most persians. She runs more often than she walks lol. I really like her show name; I took it from the lyrics of the song Rhiannon by Fleetwood Mac.
SGCh PH's Dark Side of the Moon Floyd Bred by me
Floyd is the youngest son of my two oldest catz, Sophisto and Pouncer! The two of them were adopted in P2, and made their way up through 3, 4, and finally 5 where they were stuck for many years. When PetFlux finally arrived, I was anxious to put my oldest petz back in P3 and breed them again, and Floyd is that result from Sophisto and Pouncer. He's a B&W through and through--very grumpy, stalks everything. The name Floyd made me think of Pink Floyd, so I gave him an appropriate show name.
Caliber/PH's Marko Fostero Fosma Bred by Caliber
Fosma is the second (and last) calico I adopted from Caliber as part of my pink-eye obsession. Like Eagle's Wings, he also came with a show name, but I have no idea what it means. Fosma's father was named Marko, so maybe it has something to do with that? At any rate, with my trouble with coming up with show names, I thought I'd jump on the opportunity to show a pet that already had one lol
SGCh PH's Blowin' the Stars Around
PKC Ch Blowing the Stars Around at Powerhouse
Bred by me
Francesca, like Ernest, is another one of my purebred, non-inbred pugs who happened to be A-registerable at the PKC. And just like Ernest, she hates posing. Hates it! She gets so mad at me when I drop her into alignment! I was kind of surprised that she got her PKC championship before her cousin Farley, who I'm also showing at the PKC. But anyway, with the hard part out of the way, I thought I'd work on getting her a supreme grand champion title on the forums as well! At least I don't have to retake her picture every month here lol. Once again, an unrelated show name; I took it from the lyrics of an old song called "I'd Really Love to See You Tonight".
SGCh Cargo/PH's A Frederation of Catz Frederick Bred by Amanda@Cargo
I love catz with fuzzy alley coats and alley patches, and I also love almost everything that Amanda breeds, so Frederick is like a dream lol. His pose is pretty much perfect--I use him as an example that it is possible to get calico eyelids even! Yes, he is a calico personality.
SGCh PH's Without Equal Fuji Bred by me
Fuji is the second of the eight tamsins I bred in P3 from downloaded dogz specifically to be show dogz. Not that much to say about him, really--he was bred for a specific purpose and he fulfilled it in short order. I looked up facts about Mount Fuji when I was coming up with his show name, and apparently Fuji translates to "without equal" in Japanese.
SGCh Blep/PH's Demon Toy Furby Bred by Jill@Blep
Another pet from the ABL, and she's a cute shortie to boot! I did have a Furby as a kid, although sometimes it was a little... creepy, I suppose lol. I eventually ended up breaking mine by throwing it against my closet wall, although I didn't mean to break it, oops. Sorry childhood furby, I'm a toy murderer Luckily Furby the dogz is not nearly so annoying!
SGCh PH's Plush Derriere Fuzz-Butt Bred by me
Fuzz-Butt is a Dana and Rufus grandchild and is the older sister of one of my favorite dogz, Luden. With all the attention I lavish on Luden, I sometimes felt like I was neglecting Fuzz-Butt a little. And when poodle shows finally started to take off and I was able to show Luden, I realized that maybe I should show his sister, too, especially because there would be more shows open to her, being that she has a dane personality. She's simple looking, but I do really like her little dane ears in the middle of all that poodle fluff. Now she has a supreme grand championship under her belt just like her brother.
Last Edit: Apr 8, 2021 22:03:43 GMT -5 by commander
I've mentioned my four "foundation" tamsins born to Garnet and South a number of times by now, and here finally is Garnet herself. Her birth was actually super important to me. So around the end of 2008 I got a grabbag from Cargo, and there were two tamsins in the bag. Before I'd been kind of "meh" on tamsins, but I really liked the two I got and thought it would be fun to breed some of my own. The problem was, back then, I had a sort of mantra that, with only a few exceptions, every pet I bred would be descended from one of my main couples. For mixed breed dogz, this meant Dana and Rufus. Breeding a dali-bodied dog with mutt patches might not be so easy if I insisted on having a first gen dane and sheepdog pair relatively recently in their family tree. But luckily for me, I had a dog named Misty who was a granddaughter of Xena and thus a great-granddaughter of Dana and Rufus who, while lacking mutt patches and with a short tail, still had a perfect dali body and face otherwise. I bred her to one of the grabbag tamsins from Cargo, Sprocket, and they had two children. One of them wasn't a tamsin, but the other one was Garnet, and oh my goodness, is she not absolutely perfect? Red fur and green eyes, such a perfect look for the first tamsin I ever bred. As such, Garnet is the ancestor of every tamsin I bred in P5!
SGCh Blep/PH's No One Poses Like Gaston! Gaston
Bred by Jill@Blep
He uses antlers in all of his DEEEEcorating! Okay, but seriously, Gaston is another ABL acquisition, he has a bulldog personality, and much like his Disney namesake, is a bit of a bully. He gets into fights with most of the other petz I bring out with him. He did ignore Hufflepuff, but got sad when I put her away, so at least he doesn't hate literally EVERYONE lol
SGCh PH's Since I Gave My Heart Away Gepetto Bred by me
Gepetto came from the massive undertaking I took in breeding all of my calicoes together (which was so massive, years later I've just resorted to grabbags to finally get them all out). Despite his MC face, Gepetto is actually a calico personality too, and has showing in his blood--his grandmother is Roxanne, one of my very favorite catz. When I named him, I was playing flute in the pit orchestra of a community performance of the musical "My Son Pinocchio", which focuses more on Gepetto, and his show name is the name of the song Gepetto sings near the end of the show.
SGCh Retro/PH's Kindness Multiplies Gesture Bred by Ali Rae@Retro
Gesture is such a pretty MPC; I love how her eyelids match her meezer points! I adopted her from Retro, and I only just recently found the waybacked link of the site, and it was kind of fun seeing the site how it was when I adopted her! Could even still see her on the site with her littermates and everything lol. She's a very sweet girl, have yet to see her make enemies with anyone.
SGCh Blep/PH's Rainbow Bubbles Giggles Bred by Jill@Blep
Giggles is just so cute! I like how she's slightly taller and larger than your average chi mixie. She's also got a dachshund personality, so she's not quite as hyper as a regular chihuahua lol. I gave her a slightly giggly show name to go along with her call name
SGCh Cargo/PH's The Way the Cookie Crumbles Gingersnap Bred by Amanda@Cargo
Gingersnap is one of the petz I got in the Cargo grabbag I received back in 2008 or so, back when I was still really more lurking around than anything else. The grabbags were up on PCG and I think I might have made an account just to request one, then I retreated back into lurker mode and didn't really become active on the forums until about five years later lol. Gingersnap has a sheepdog personality and is surprisingly sassy. She likes to knock toys off of the carrying case.
Ch LF/PH's A Nice Spot of Tea Ginseng Hexed by Arie@Litterz Factory
When I saw the litter of Peachy Teapot Persians at Litterz Factory, I thought they were adorable, but I held off on applying for one... that is, until I happened to look at Arie's hex archive one day and saw what they looked like as adults. SO CHONKY! And the picture of Ginseng on her archive had her in a perfect pose, so I just had to apply for her to hopefully one day add her to my show team--and that day has come! Ginseng is more interested in sitting lazily and cleaning herself than most toys. Oh well. lol
SGCh Pearflower/PH's How Does It Work? Gizmo Bred by ParanoiaPaige@Pearflower
Gizmo also has a sheepie personality! I love his scruffiness and how fluffy his head, ears, and feet are. He really loves to pose and his favorite toy is the orange and red circus ball!
RCh SW/PH's Mighty Giant Goliath
Bred by Anne@Still Water
Goliath is a great, scruffy dog. I've had him for awhile but haven't really done much with him until now, so I'm enjoying getting to know him as part of my showing crew!
SGCh Rattlesnake/PH's My Life of Leisure Goneril Bred by Paige@PRattlesnake
If I remember correctly, Goneril was bred from two supreme grand champion parents, and the adoptions all came with show pose pictures included! I saw this pose of Goneril and admired it enough to ask to have him join my show team. He did a great job, unsurprisingly! He's a pretty silly cat when not competing. His way of playing with toys is to launch them in the air lol
SGCh PH's Duck, Duck... Goose Bred by me
Goose is another one of my massive cali breedings same as Gepetto--in fact, Gepetto is her cousin, as they share a grandmother in Roxanne! I of course kept her back right away for her green eyes, red and black coat, and alley ears. It took her a very long time to get her supreme grand champion title for some reason, but she did make it there eventually and is now enjoying her well-earned retirement.
SGCh PH's Calm Visage Grant Bred by me
I actually wasn't exactly planning on showing Grant at first, but when Kayota opened their "brace" show where you enter two petz of your own breeding as a team in part to show off consistency in genes, I remembered that my poodle Penny, who I was showing at the time, had a brother who looked nearly identical to her (Grant's eyes are a slightly darker shade of green than Penny's, otherwise they're basically identical), so I quickly put his file in my game and grabbed a show pic of him. He now has a separate showing career of his own and a supreme grand championship just like his sister
Last Edit: Apr 1, 2021 18:49:19 GMT -5 by commander
A purebred, non-inbred B&W shorthair with my favorite coat color! I of course named him after Han Solo from Star Wars (and his mate is named Leia, naturally), and his show name is a Han Solo quote. He is Better Than You and prefers to sit on ledges than to play with toys.
SGCh PH's A Temperamental Glow Hannah Bred by me
Hannah is Dana and Rufus's youngest child, born in P4 after I'd PetFluxed them back from 5. She has a dane personality and as like all of her other siblings, she's a sweet girl. She's another show pet of mine with a show name that comes from the song Magic by the Cars.
SGCh PH's Shake the Ketchup Bottle Heinz Bred by me
Heinz--a poodle born to bulldog parents, with a sheepie personality. Because that makes sense, right? I just love everything about this dog, even though he's lazy as all get out. Even though his show name refers to Heinz ketchup, I actually named him after my second-favorite Disney cartoon character, the one and only Heinz Doofenshmirtz from Phineas and Ferb.
SGCh PH's Bright Bookworm Hermione Bred by me
The third of the eight tamsins I bred in P3 from downloaded dogz specifically to be show dogz. I named Hermione after the Harry Potter character and gave her a show name to match. She loves dressing up, no matter what article of clothing it is!
SGCh PH's All Hype, No Game Herschel Bred by me
Another one of my non-inbred purebreds... are you getting sick of seeing that yet? lol. Herschel, like Han, much prefers to sit on ledges than to play with any toys. When I first started showing him, the much-hyped first Husker football game of the season was rained out thanks to a thunderstorm, and that's where Herschel's show name comes from.
SGCh Rainy/PH's Flower Power Hippie Bred by Rainy
I got a grabbag from Rainy and a grabbag from Kristina at the same time, and I got two very similar looking dane mixies, one from each grabbag. I thought about only keeping one, but eventually I just decided to keep them both, and show them both as well lol. I think I showed Hippie to supreme grand championship before Kayak, but anyway, now these two similar looking dogs have the same title. Hippie is a total attention hog. He does not leave the cursor alone, lol
SGCh PH's Protos Didaskalos Homer Bred by me
Hey, guess what, it's another non-inbred purebred! Homer's show name comes from something about the ancient poet, although I can't remember what exactly lol. He's super cute when he plays with toys, I love how his little butt shakes when he grabs toys and how adorably fierce he tries to look
PH's Legendary Odds Horseshoe
Bred by me
Horseshoe has two calico parents and came from my massive calico breeding from years ago, yet he's a Maine coon... with a meezer personality. Go fig lol. I thought he had neat looks, and his personality is way too much fun. I named him after a nearby casino.
SGCh PH's The Sands of Time Hourglass Bred by me
I would say Hourglass comes from good show stock, but she's actually one of the first dogz I showed, so it's more like her ancestors followed in her footsteps later lol. Her parents are Rush Hour and Willoughby, and her grandmother is Kim. I just love that one little spot on her paw, it's like a little beauty mark
SGCh NSP/PH's Just and Loyal Hufflepuff Bred by Shade@NightShade Petz
Hufflepuff came to me in a grabbag. Isn't she just so cute? I love how tiny she is with her fluffy poodle ears. She's got a dachshund personality! Her show name refers to the defining characteristics of the Hufflepuff house in Harry Potter, at least according to the sorting hat.
Last Edit: Apr 8, 2021 22:09:08 GMT -5 by commander
SGCh Blep/PH's Across Alaska Iditarod Bred by Jill@Blep
I got Iditarod from the never-ending grabbag known as the ABL, and she was so strange looking that at first I didn't think I was going to keep her. Even those markings on her toes come and go as she walks, as you can probably tell by the two pictures! But her uniqueness is what eventually won me over. Showing was tough for her--she's a trotter and has those sheepdog ears that make a dali pose more awkward--but she made it in the end.
SGCh Pinto/PH's When You Decide to Break It Ijasaka Bred by Pinto
Ijasaka is another pet whose show name was pulled from whatever song I was listening to at the time, in this case Love Bites by Def Leppard. She's super pretty, but very lazy. And when I try to help her out by giving her a pillow to lie down on, she just bats it aside! I guess she wants to nap on her own terms lol
SGCh NSP/PH's Word to the Wise Ildran Bred by Shade@NightShade Petz
One of my earlier show dogz, and one of the most successful too--I didn't have to enter him in many shows at all before he got his supreme grand champion title. I like how his cream chest patch seems to sort of blend in with his main fur color, even on top of the white chest patch. He's a good boy--not too sure on a lot of toys, but still happy and eager to please.
SGCh Emma/PH's A Greater Understanding Importance Bred by Emma@Loser
Importance is one of the first catz I adopted when I reinstalled P3, but I didn't show her until recently. She has a tabby personality and was totally up for the challenge! I just love her soft, understated colors. Combined with her outgoing personality, it makes for quite the contrast.
SGCh SW/PH's Sponsored by Booze Ivanovich Bred by Anne@Still Water
Another lovely purebred from Still Water! Red and orange together makes such an appealing combo. He's a good, playful dog, like most danes! I got his show name from my propensity to waste time watching YouTube Poops, lol. One of them "pooped" a presidential debate, stating that the debate was "sponsored by booze". Now that's a debate I can get behind, lol
Last Edit: Mar 4, 2021 21:54:58 GMT -5 by commander
SGCh LF/PH's Affirmative Ja Bred by Arie@Litterz Factory
I think that Ja is one of the very first petz I adopted from Litterz Factory! His littermates all had names that meant "yes" in other languages, so I kept the theme for his show name, too. Ja is super pretty and he works hard to keep it that way--he's very neat and tidy, constantly grooming himself.
SGCh FDL/PH's Your Cruel Device Jack Bred by Bailey@Fleur de Lis
Jack is another grabbag pet. He's very playful and affectionate, as are most tabbies. His show name comes from the song Poison by Alice Cooper that I was listening to nonstop at the time.
SGCh PH's You Remind Me of the Babe Jareth Bred by me
"What babe?" "The babe with the power!" "What power?" "The power of voodoo!" "Who do?" "You do!" "Do what?" "REMIND ME OF THE BABE!" And I apologize for getting that song stuck in your heads now lol. Jareth is one of my purebred, non-inbred Scottish folds, and he is quite adventurous. His favorite activity is wall climbing!
SGCh Caprice/PH's Best Day Ever Jellyfish Bred by KiwioStarz@Capricious
Jellyfish is the other pet I adopted from Capricious along with Appuyer. She also came with a show picture, and this is it! In fact, with getting her show picture in profile, along with her non-standard size and shape, it took me awhile to realize that she was actually a dalmatian same as Appuyer, lol. She's a sweet girl, loves affection and loves toys!
SGCh PH's Creamy Filling Jellyroll Bred by me
The fourth alphabetically of the eight tamsins I bred in P3 specifically to be show dogz, and the first to actually be shown! She was in fact one of the very first dogz I ever showed, period, so this pic was actually like the third of the show pics I entered in shows as I went through a trial-and-error process of figuring out just how to show dogz at all. Even though she earned her supreme grand champion title a long time ago, I'm still actively working with her, this time for trick and frisbee shows! Seemed only fitting that she be one of the first dogz I show there, too. She's eager and willing to please, perfect for all the shows I'm entering her in!
SGCh PH's Time in a Bottle Jesaja Bred by me
Jesaja is one of my purebred, non-inbred German shepherds, and was the final breed to have at least one representative in the supreme grand champion club. I used the fixed overwrite from Atticus to breed my GSDs, and I think it only fixes the colors so that they mutate properly, and didn't fix other things that I think the file now available at Reverie does. So as awkward as her legs and ears and such are in this pose, it's about the best I could get from her lol. It was a long road to retirement, but she made it in the end! She loves to play dress up and smack around the carrying case. I got her show name from the beautiful song by Jim Croce.
SGCh PH's Up the Hill Jill Bred by me
I thought when I bred Jill that she was a perfect gypsy-marked calico, but as you can see from her show picture, her feet aren't calico feet. I'm not sure just what they are exactly, though... maybe tabby? At any rate, despite her feet Jill is still a calico through and through, personality wise. She's super playful and inquisitive.
SGCh Sardonyx/PH's Monday Morning You Sure Look Fine Joyce Bred by Aubrey@Sardonyx
For a Russian blue, Joyce is kind of nuts. She likes to run around in circles and flop on her belly. But then she'll sit calm and cool and try to look sophisticated, lol. I took her show name from the song Monday Morning by Fleetwood Mac (Fleetwood Mac shows up a lot in my show names, don't they?)
SGCh PH's Rockin' Radio Jukebox Bred by me
Here's another non-inbred purebred from my crew! His show name comes from when my daughter was younger and used to call songs from the radio "rockin' radio", which I thought was cute. Jukebox is also cute, and he loves to play fetch!
SGCh PH's Star Crossed Juliet Bred by me
Juliet is Star's daughter! In the heyday of APKC they used to run a matchmaking service, where you could post a picture and information of a pet you wanted bred, and other people could send in their petz in exchange for some of the children. Star found two matches actually, Juliet being the kitten I kept from the first match. She has her dad's winning calico personality.
Last Edit: Apr 29, 2021 21:56:19 GMT -5 by commander
SGCh WAA/PH's The Illusion of Integrity Kachal Bred by Lily@Wild Abyss of Angels
It's hard to tell since he's so small, but Kachal has an oshie body! It makes his butt look kind of big in comparison, lol. He sort of acts like a dog, surprisingly. He really likes the stick! His unrelated show name comes from lyrics from the song The Spirit of Radio by Rush.
SGCh Blep/PH's Let's Play, Buddies! Kaeloo Bred by Jill@Blep
THE TVTROPES RABBIT HOLES ARE REAL, BEWARE! Ahem, so after many aimless wiki-walks on TVTropes, I kept seeing an animated show named Kaeloo mentioned on a lot of pages of tropes that I like. I'd never heard of the show, and with good reason--it's a French series that only ever had its first season dubbed into English, and said dub only ever aired in Australia. Still, though, I was intrigued enough by what I was reading that I managed to track down that season, and fan subbed episodes of later seasons, and I am officially hooked. I of course had to name a pet after the title character, who's always looking for games to play with "les amis", or as the English dubbed episodes often had her say, her "buddies"! My cat is kind of different from her namesake, though. She'd rather climb on walls than make friends.
SGCh HKC/PH's Answer Audibly Kals Bred by Heather@HKC
Kals is another one of my non-inbred purebreds, but this time she wasn't bred by me! I bought her from Heather's PUGS shop. When painted, you can see that Kals has lots of spots and hidden two-toned ears, just the way I like my dalmatians. She absolutely LOVES to play dress-up, as you can probably tell by her picture!
SGCh JC/PH's Stars to Fill My Dream Kashmir Bred by Willow
Given my love for two-toned ears, I like that this overwrite makes it possible to have one white and one red ear! Kashmir's colors are just so striking. His show name, naturally, comes from the lyrics of the song Kashmir by Led Zepplin. Kashmir's favorite game is keep away--he'll take toys and refuse to bring them back to me, lol
SGCh Neko/PH's Up a Creek Kayak Bred by Kristina@NEKOmmunication
I got two separate grabbags from two separate people at the same time, and Hippie was in one, and Kayak was in the other. They look so similar to each other that I thought I'd only keep one of them, but I couldn't decide between the two of them and just kept them both--and showed them both, too! Kayak is a little unsure of new situations sometimes, but she still always pulls through in the end.
SGCh Cargo/PH's This Chancy Rendezvous Keppler Bred by Amanda@Cargo
I'm pretty sure I adopted Keppler from the same thread that I adopted Daiquiri from, and in this case I simply requested a calico, since Cargo calicoes are some of the greatest things in this world lol. Keppler is your average calico--she's friendly and playful, and likes to pose, even if she's not always perfect at it. The unrelated song whose lyrics provided the show name this time is You Might Think by the Cars.
SGCh PS/PH's The Ticking of the Clock Kiki Bred by Jenn@Pumpkin Soup
I remember seeing Kiki up for adoption on Pumpkin Soup and just being completely in love with her coloring. In retrospect, I'm sure it was the green eyes and alley patches that drew me in (although she actually has very few cream patches). She only really gets grumpy when I snap pictures of her, and she absolutely LOVES wearing collars! Unrelated show name comes from the lyrics of one of my all-time favorite songs, Alone by Heart.
SGCh WAA/PH's Kim Possible Kim Bred by Lily@Wild Abyss of Angels
I requested a breeding of two dalis from WAA not long after I reinstalled P3, hoping to get a dog with a double chest patch. I kept a lot of the litter, getting a lot of neat petz, who ended up in the lines of many of my P3/4 tamsins! Kim herself is the ancestor of several successful show dogs, such as her daughter Rush Hour and granddaughter Hourglass. And she's super fun to play with in game. She LOVES to jump, even without treats! All of her littermates had names coming from the show Kim Possible, so I used that for her show name, although I actually haven't seen much of the show.
PH's Alphabet Mysteries Kinsey
Bred by me
Kinsey is Embrace's daughter (and thus Bacon's brother), and like her brother also has super short legs for some reason. Must come from their father's side lol. She's the dog representative on my crew directory page. I named her after the character Kinsey Millhone from Sue Grafton's Alphabet Mysteries book series. (She died before she could finish Z and thus the alphabet, what a loss!)
SGCh PH's Black Hole Mouth Kirby Bred by me
Kirby is one of my tamsins originally bred in P5, and she shares many of the same ancestors as Donovan--I believe that they're cousins. Her show name was inspired by the video game character Kirby (even though my Kirby is a girl), who is always my character of choice while playing Super Smash Bros.
SGCh PH's Kid Tested, Mother Approved Kix Bred by me
Don't be fooled by Kix's calico face--he's a persian through and through, as these pics probably demonstrate well. He's so lazy that he can barely keep his eyelids open, although he will still gladly expend the energy needed to bat toys around. I of course took his show name from the slogan for Kix cereal.
SGCh RK/PH's There's Gold in Them Thar Hills Klondike Bred by Rowan@Rogue Kennelz
I adopted Klondike a long time ago and showed him a long time ago, and I don't remember much of the details about either, lol. I do recall that Klondike did reach his supreme grand champion rank relatively quickly, so I was getting more confident at showing dogz by then, at least. For all his success in the show ring, Klondike is kind of dumb--he's another one of those dogz who think that walking in endless circles is the greatest form of entertainment lol
SGCh PH's The Deepest Cut Knife Bred by me
Knife is another one of my purebred, non-inbred dalmatians, and is from the same breeding as Crent (they're either cousins or siblings, I can't remember which). I'm not normally a big fan of "slothy" eyes but I think the color does look nice on her. She's a rather particular girl--she gets spooked easily and spends a lot of time grooming herself.
SGCh PH's Hiding in Plain Sight Koozie Bred by me
I bred Koozie for a breeding quest on PUGS--and then left his file, with just a random placeholder name, in my P5 folders and forgot about him. Later, when going through all my P5 files as I PetFluxed them back to 4, I saw this random file and was like "what is this?" I fluxed it anyway, and I took him out of the door, and AAAWW LOOK AT HIM! I can see why I kept him, even though I completely forgot about it right afterwards lol. His show name is a reference to how he was just hiding in plain sight in my returned petz folder that entire time. He has a chinchi personality and likes to sit and meow and look pretty
Last Edit: Apr 15, 2021 21:45:45 GMT -5 by commander
SGCh PH's America's Favorite Fighting Frenchman Lafayette Bred by me
Lafayette is another one of Garnet and South's children and one of my foundation tamsins originally from P5, and he might be my favorite of the bunch. (Don't tell his brother and sisters, though.) He's a trotter, he's super pretty, and I like how his mutt patches completely cover his black scottie points--the only way you can tell they're black at all is because of his eyebrows. I basically named him after the Marquis de Lafayette, one of my favorite historical figures, and even though he was born and named years before the show Hamilton even existed, it provided a perfect show name for him when he entered the ring.
SGCh PH's Spaghetti Cake Lasagna Bred by me
Lasagna is one of my Lydia Meows, a selective breed I made with what I consider the best traits of calicoes and Scottish folds. She even has a fold personality (as do my other LMs), which made posing her very easy, and she did fantastic in the show ring. She really loves the jingle ball toy!
SGCh Rock$tar/PH's Cozy, Rainy Day Le Pouf Bred by DAB@Rock$tar
Le Pouf is another more recent acquisition that I can't quite remember where I got her from... I want to say on Whiskerwick, but don't quote me on that lol. I just love the way her MC texture looks on her! She's uninterested in most toys, but that's fine, that means she's just that much more focused on her show career
RCh Thor/PH's Ringing in the New Year Ringing in the New Year at Powerhouse Lillian Hexed by Thor
Thor very thoughtfully hexed Lillian for me as a Christmas/New Year's present! She asked me what breed I'd like and hexed it to be PKC A-registered. With that said, right now I'm actually focusing on showing Lillian in the PKC, but once she reaches championship there I'll probably show her on standard forum shows more properly. She does already have a few points from entering some specialized shows though, lol. She's also a trickster, so she may be showing up in cat trick shows soon!
SGCh Cargo/PH's I'm Gonna Show Them All Limelight Bred by Amanda@Cargo
I got Limelight in a grabbag, and I almost didn't keep her at first because she looks so similar to another tamsin I have, Chaplin. Obviously I did eventually decide to keep her, and I even named her after a Charlie Chaplin movie, although I took her show name from lyrics from the song Limelight by the Alan Parsons Project. This picture is one of the few instances where she managed to actually catch the toy car lol. I think it might go a little too fast for her.
SGCh PH's Like Silent Raindrops Lisa Bred by me
Lisa is a great-granddaughter of Sophisto and Pouncer, and a great-great-granddaughter of Princess and Aaron. She's also from my first attempt to breed a cat with all ten breeds, and personality wise takes after her AC persian father (who I don't have anymore; I'm not sure what happened to his file?). In fact when I sorted my breeds by face type I actually had Lisa with the persians at first because she is so 100% persian that I didn't even realize that she's got a oshie face, lol. I took her show name from the lyrics of The Sound of Silence, which was I was listening to a lot at the time (even though I wasn't depressed or anything), although it was the Disturbed version, not the Simon and Garfunkel original.
MSGCh PH's No Way to Slow Down Locomotive Breath Bred by me
Locomotive Breath is another descendant of both Princess/Aaron and Sophisto/Pouncer (Mandark is his grandfather!), another pet I bred while I was in Argentina in 2008, another pet with a somewhat strange name (I named him after the Jethro Tull song and took his show name from the lyrics of the song), and another pet who got a lot of show points, hence his MSGCh title. He is a very friendly, fun cat who also loves the jingle ball!
SGCh PH's Painful Haze Lolita Bred by me
I bred Lolita from scratch years ago when I worked on a little poodle breeding project. I can't recall why I added dane into the lines--I assume it was either for the ears or the black snout patch. Lolita does have a double snout patch, as small as they are and hard to see on her lol. She's quite the funny little thing--I find poodle personalities so hilarious when they're on a non-poodle-faced dog
SGCh PH's Buckingham Palace London Bred by me
London is a Princess and Aaron great-grandchild, and he's also a grandson of Ja! He has a calico personality and is a lot of fun. I just love his tiny little white toes.
SGCh Sheba/PH's China in Your Hand Louisa Bred by Shebaatje
Louisa was in the same adoption thread as Roxanne, but of course I went straight for Roxanne and hardly even noticed the other kitties up for adoption lol. When Shebaatje opened it up for seconds, I took another look and while there were several others that I liked, I decided to go for this pretty monochrome girl. She likes to play, especially with the yarn ball!
SGCh PH's Great Tasting Throat Drops Luden Bred by me
So, if I had to pick a favorite dog... it would probably be this guy. He's a Dana and Rufus grandchild, with poodle (obviously) thrown into the mix. I actually didn't really like poodles all that much until Luden came along, but something about his super snooty personality on a dog with a big ole sheepie face just completely won me over. I named him after my favorite brand of cough drops--I used to suck on them like candy, no joke. I won't buy any other brand. I think they're great, and such it's a fitting name for a dog I also think is really great
SGCh PH's Jokes with No Punchline Lydia Bred by me
Lydia is another one of my tamsins bred in P5--her son is Apollo and her dad is Lafayette. She likes to dress up, especially pretty bows. She happens to share a name with my daughter, although Lydia the dog was actually born before Lydia the human lol. When I started showing her, my daughter was telling lots of "jokes", and while she understood the general set-up of a joke, she didn't get that it was actually supposed to, you know, be funny or a play on words or something like that. She'd just go around saying things like "What did the dog say to the tree? SILLY PANTS! HAHAHA!" Hence, jokes with no punchline
SGCh Pinto/PH's I'd Really Love to Break Your Heart Lyseni Bred by Pinto
I just can't get enough of this fuzzy alley texture... and Lyseni has selfie eyelids to boot! She likes dress up... sort of? There are some clothes she likes and others that she doesn't. I guess she just has her preferences, lol. I took her show name from the lyrics of the song Shout by Tears for Fears.
Last Edit: May 17, 2021 20:56:10 GMT -5 by commander
Macaroni is a purebred, non-inbred dachshund. She seems pretty calm, even though when I look at her personality values it looks like she has high values for both liveliness and playfulness. (Also, how cool is it that we can finally look at those now?!) I have high hopes for her in the show ring!
SGCh Boheme/PH's Malicious Compliance Malila Bred by Jenn@Boheme
Malila is another one of my gorgeous petz from Boheme. I of course can't resist her bright green eyes! She's a little timid for a calico. Most toys seem to scare her. She's still happy and playful when the camera's clicking, though.
SGCh PH's Dexter's Rival Mandark Bred by me
Mandark is the third of Sophisto and Pouncer's nine children, and is of course named after the Dexter's Laboratory character, hence his show name. He's also Davy's father and is in the lineage of my 15 breed catz. Mandark is as snooty as his mother, and he really enjoys wearing crowns to show off his undeniable majesty lol
SGCh PH's Like She's Never Danced Before Maniac Bred by me
"She's a maniac, MAAAANIAC on the floor!" Maniac is Eder's great-granddaughter and also a Princess and Aaron descendant. Dressing her up makes her very sad for some reason, poor girl. When not complaining about clothing she enjoys hissing and screeching and acting like your typical alley cat.
SGCh PH's PVC Vibration Marimba Bred by me
Here's another non-inbred purebred, a persian this time obviously. You know me and green eyes--I can't get enough of them! Marimba is your typical friendly, slightly lazy persian, no odd quirks from what I've observed.
SGCh PH's Cutting the Strings Marionette Bred by me
Marionette is Princess and Aaron's youngest child, and like Floyd and Hannah was born after I'd finally PetFluxed her parents out of P5. I will tell you that when breeding a tabby and an OS you don't get a whole lot of variety in kittens, lol. Marionette looks and acts just like her dad with the exception of her mom's tabby body and feet. Despite her timidness she did well in shows, just like her parents.
SGCh PH's Autographed by God Martin Adopted by me
Martin is an Irish wolfhound from Autumn Down Kennels. I love all the breeds she made! They were all so unique looking, true to their real-life breed standards, but also very petzy with lots of variety in the files. I downloaded every breed and adopted at least one from each file, lol. I've been keeping most of my hexed breeds in P5, but for some reason I couldn't get the Irish wolfhound file to work in 5, so I adopted them in 4, and then I figured, well, might as well show one of them since he's here lol
SGCh PH's Where's the Kaboom Marvin Bred by me
Marvin is Sophisto and Pouncer's fourth child. I named him after Marvin the Martian, one of my favorite cartoon characters, and gave him a show name to match. Marvin was actually, I'm preeeeetty sure, my second show cat (and pet) ever. It was either him or Memory, and I think it was him, lol. He has massive B&W sass and stalks everything in sight.
SGCh PH's Forgot to Remember Memory Bred by me
And speaking of Memory... lol. I'm fairly certain she was my third pet I ever entered in shows! Go fig I'd pick a grumpy alley for one of my very first show catz lol. Normally I hate orange eyelids on non-orange petz, but Memory's don't really bother me that much... maybe I've just gotten used to them, I dunno. She's Eder's daughter and Princess and Aaron's granddaughter. Despite her grumpiness, she really loves to wear bows!
SGCh PH's Devil's Agent Mephistopheles Bred by me
Mephisopheles is Darla's father, Princess and Aaron's great-grandson, and has a name that is a pain in the butt to have to spell out lol. He has a calico personality but he's actually a bit snooty. He likes ledges more than toys, which he kind of ignores.
SGCh Nostalgic/PH's Victory Is My Destiny Meta Knight Bred by Nostalgic
Green eyes and a double chest patch? Yes please! I named Meta Knight after the Kirby character, and again, I haven't really played many Kirby games (or video games at all, I'm not much of a gamer), but Meta Knight is cool, and I've been learning off and on how to play as him in Super Smash Bros. This dog doesn't really live up to his namesake, though. He's a bit of a coward. Nearly every toy worries him.
SGCh PH's Don't Keep Me Waiting Mindy Bred by me
I had to get a picture of Mindy that showed off both of her ears. One of my biggest weaknesses in dogz is when a non-black or brown dog has one black ear and one brown ear. I just find it such an appealing look! Even not counting her ears, though, Mindy's a neat looking compact dog. She has a bulldog personality and I remember she was quite a challenge to pose, but I kept at it, even though she was one of my first show dogz and I probably should have gone with something easier lol
SGCh Zan/PH's Learn Japanese to Survive Misaki Bred by Zan
I purchased Misaki from TFM. I couldn't resist her green eyes and fluffy sheepie feet! When I adopted her, my husband was playing this RPG game called "Learn Japanese to Survive" where the characters were getting attacked by Japanese kanji and to defeat them, you had to type in their equivalent English sounds. At one point after playing it for awhile it showed a word in Japanese and my husband looked at it for a second and said, "That's sushi", and he was right, so it was definitely working lol. Anyway, the character in the game who taught you Japanese in order to defeat the enemy was named Misaki.
SGCh PH's No Tail, No Problem! Missing Bred by me
Missing was bred from the breeding pair of the Jinx Lynxes available at Jinxfold Cattery, so if you like her, go download her parents and breed one for yourself! lol. The breed exploits a glitch in P5 where the tabby stripes lay over the invisible bobtail that the desert lynx and Japanese bobtails come with. So even though she doesn't technically have a tail, the tabby stripes show that she's still curving it nicely lol. Missing is kind of a feisty cat despite her sleepy sickness, and seems to get along with dogz very well.
SGCh Cel/PH's Where the River Meets the Sea Mississippi Bred by Cel
At the time, I was really wanting a cream, tabby-striped calico, so Mississippi was perfect! And he even came with a show pic, too, and a very good one at that. He's obviously a fantastic poser, but he's not the brightest crayon in the box. He loves to stare at walls for hours on end.
SGCh Witz/PH's Don't Take a Slice of My Pie
Bred by Witzy@Witz World
I've had Money for a long time now, and I figured it was time to let her shine in the show ring! She's a pretty laid-back dog, but curious nonetheless. I took her show name from the lyrics of the song Money by Pink Floyd.
SGCh Blep/PH's Unleash That Beautiful Anger Mr. Cat Bred by Jill@Blep
I of course named Mr. Cat after my favorite character from the show Kaeloo, even though he doesn't look much like his namesake. (And of course, I indulged in my OTP and bred him to Kaeloo and they had appropriately very awkward babies lol.) He does act like his namesake, though--he's got major attitude and is pretty rough with most of the toys, that is until he gets bored of them and walks off. I actually took his showname from a line I gave him in one of my fanfics, which, not to toot my own horn or anything, but is totally something he'd say in the show lol
SGCh PH's Expect the Worst Murphey Bred by me
haha, I bred Murphey long ago (he's descended from Lisa, and thus both Princess/Aaron and Sophisto/Pouncer as well) and named him after my aunt's cat, although I'm pretty sure she actually spelled the name Murphy correctly lol. For some reason I have always wanted to add an E to it every time I type it out, even now. I haven't bothered changing it since then... oh well, I suppose I'm used to it this way now lol. Murphey was from my initial attempt to breed a cat with every breed in them, which I did by introducing one breed at a time, so he mostly shows traits from his RB father and alley grandfather more than any other breeds.
SGCh Boheme/PH's Fade to Blue Murray Bred by Jenn@Boheme
Murray is another one of my Boheme petz... I think I got him in a grabbag? Don't quote me on that though lol. He's a pretty chill dog, but he doesn't like pillows for some reason. Come on, who doesn't like pillows?! I took his show name from the lyrics to the song Hello Again by the Cars.
Ch Blep/PH's In the Dining Room with the Candlestick Mustard Bred by Jill@Blep
Mustard kind of looks like she has mustard-like coloring to me, doesn't she to you? lol. She has a calico personality and is very friendly and enjoys playing with all the toys. Her call name made me think of Colonel Mustard from the board game Clue, so I gave her a Clue-related show name!

Alex@Marvel: I don't forsee me ever going away from my Sammies, Thor, but I am still searching for the right cat breed so technically yes?
