So, I have always thought that show types for petz is an untouched goldmine for game play. We have petz that will pose, but that is just one things that they can do in game. I've always like training my petz to compete in other show types, in most showing organisations, but i've always thought that in forum shows, people are a little put off by the rules and the strictness of how to do each pose/trick, etc. So I propose TWO new show types that can be held by any judge who wants to hold them!

POINTS
as with regular shows there will be 5 placements, but slightly different to reflect the show type.
1st - 5 pts
2nd - 4 pts
3rd - 3 pts
4th - 2 pts
HM - 1 pt
FRISBEE DOG
Frisbee is one of my all time favourite petz activities, known in RL as 'Disc Dog Trials'. I like the word 'frisbee', so for this new show type, i propose the following titles:
FD (Frisbee Dog) at 10 pts
AFD (Advanced Frisbee Dog) at 20 pts
FDX (Frisbee Dog of Excellence) at 30pts
Points are subject to change/open for discussion. So far this is a dogz only show, because I haven't played with catz enough in the context of training to know what they might have. Maybe mousing?
Some examples, as modeled by the lovely Card Shark, who really likes Frisbee.
GOOD FRISBEE CATCHES
Pet side on and as lined up as possible. Focused on handler.
OTHER FRISBEE CATCHES
Excited expression. Facing away from handler (prob not ideal)
These are relatively easy photos to get and (i hope) would encourage people to hold more shows and enter more shows. Plus, who doesn't like titles? This show type can be EBW or Standard, where entry limits are set by the judge, as they are now. The only downside to this show type i can find is that some hexies might be unsuitable, and obviously, catz cant compete.
TRICK DOG/CAT
(Disclaimer: I know that spider has a trickster pet show guide but mine is simplified, more user friendly, and doesn't take the fun out of the game!)
Both dogz and catz can do tricks, so this is a show type for both species that can be held as both EBW and Standard shows. The number of tricks a dog can do is more than catz, which is why I feel my simplified version of Spider's will help all players enjoy this show type and gain titles on their beloved petz. I would recommend looking at Spider's Guide HERE as it shows good examples of what tricks both dogz and catz can do, but that is where the similarities between our shows end.
I would like my new show system to use a judges show choice of Up, Down, Left, Right and Freestyle (any direction) but less emphasis on being lined up or 'perfect' as this is where i think people will struggle and might become discouraged with the show type.
For this new show type, i propose the following titles:
TD/TC (Trick Dog/Cat) at 10 pts
ATD/ATC (Advanced Trick Dog/Cat) at 20 pts
TDX/TCX (Trick Dog/Cat of Excellence) at 30pts
[ it has come to my attention Duke's Group has similar titles for the first level - this needs discussing ]

Here are a few examples of tricks by a dog featuring Weave, who i adopted from the lovely Nostalgic.
This show type, as you can see, also allows for the use and show off of hexed toyz! <3 And i think some of the tricks look better when not perfectly aligned. It will be up to a judge to decide which pet looks like it is best executing the trick based on the angle provided, so there is still an element of skill involved, but just not so much its a turn off.
Let me know what you think, guys. I've always wanted to do something like this, and if needed I will turn this into a show guide for both show types (if someone could help with the catz tricks, that would be excellent!)
