Oh no! Hmm.. I found these steps for you. Hopefully they work!

Stuck Pregnancy
This method was developed by Carolyn Horn. Minibyte made one minor change to update the instructions. She instructs you to close the game before changing the clock because many people who use newer Windows Operating Systems cannot get the method to work unless they do so. OK, here goes!
1. Make sure the game is closed.
2. Make a temporary folder and move ALL the petz (including the stuck mom) in the Adopted Petz folder into the temporary folder. This will prevent petz from running away when the clock is changed.
3. Make a copy of the pregnant mom's file and put it into the Adopted Petz folder. Always work with a copy. That way you will still have the original file and can start over if something goes wrong. If you have more than one stuck mom, work with just one at a time!
4. Forward the clock to 2037. Do not go further than that because some computers cannot deal with dates after 2037 and will crash.
5. Open the game and bring the mom out to see if she has had the baby. If she has not, pet her a bit, put her away and close the game.
6. Set the clock back to 1980. Do not go further back because some computers cannot deal with dates before 1980 and will crash.
7. Open the game and bring the mom out to see if she has had the baby. If she has not, pet her a bit, put her away and close the game.
8. Repeat steps 4, 5, 6 and 7 until the mom has her baby. You may have to alternate these dates several times depending upon how stuck she is.
9. She will eventually have her baby. Pet her, put her away and close the game. Set the clock back to the correct date. You can now move all your other petz back into the Adopted Petz folder.
10. If you get an error message at any point or if the game crashes when you try to bring the mom out, you have a file problem, not a simple stuck pregnancy. If this happens, a hexer might be able to find the problem in the file and fix it. Minibyte willing to help do this if you don't know how to work with a hex editor.

^Absolutely! That is the method I always use, and it has never failed me so far! I know some people are iffy about playing with their clock though. If you'd rather, Willow, you can also email the pet to me at Kagianna@gmail.com and I can do it for you. Entirely your choice, but I'm willing to help out if you'd like! ^^

That method sometimes takes me 20+ times to finally work. Years ago I read of another method that works for me, the very first try, 100% of the time. I would definitely recommend making a copy of the mother's file before doing this.
Make sure the stuck mother's file is the only one in the game. Open the game, take her out and pet her, then put her back. Then MINIMIZE, not close, the game. Open the computer's calendar and move the date forward two years. Bring the game back up, take the mother out. She should have her baby. (Then make sure to close the game and set the clock back when you're done!)
Way less time-consuming than the other way. Just make sure all your other Petz files are safe before doing this, of course!

commander That is VERY interesting to know, since yes, the other method (while it does definitely work) takes a good few tries! I'll have to make a note of that, because that's pretty awesome! Thank you for sharing!

Sorry to post on such an old thread, but I wanted to ask a question about both of these methods. Has anyone seen either of them work in a Windows 10 environment? I just had a really weird experience with this. In hindsight I'm not sure now if I truly had a stuck pregnancy or not. While my dog was definitely overdue and neither the methods above nor the PetzA instabirth settings were doing their magic, I had this weird hunch to launch the game anew, switch my playscene from the custom one I'd been using to the official Playpen, and bring her out again. The puppy was then born in the Playpen. This was on Windows 10, and the PetzA instabirth setting was checked at the time.
Since I can't remember if at any point during the last few days I either 1) launched the game on a non-custom scene or 2) brought the mother out of the travel case while in one, I'm wondering if there's a known issue with births not occurring on custom scenes? And by this I mean player-created scenes that are literally sorted under the Custom Scenes dropdown. Before the pup was born I tried both commander 's minimize method Carolyn Horn's 1980/2023 steps above to no avail. I've definitely unstuck a pregnancy before in Windows 7 using the 1980/2023 date waffling, but Windows 10 wouldn't let me push the date further back than 1993. I tried the date swapping a few times with the 1993/2023 split instead and didn't see any results, but my testing was far from exhaustive and thus not conclusive. I just didn't have a great feeling about it, and didn't keep going beyond a handful of attempts. So, all told, I can't tell from this experience if this was a case of Windows 10 foiling our techniques somehow or just an issue with bringing pregnant petz out on custom scenes. I just wanted to detail it here in case it's useful for something. Has anyone gone through something similar?

Really weird! Commander's method and Minibyte's methods work for me on Windows 10! And flawlessly too. I've yet to see any stuck pregnancy not be fixed by those tricks!
I'm not sure what was going on with your situation, but it's always good to get that info out there of what worked for you, just in case! I've heard other people mentioning those methods don't work for them (again, so weird, since they always do it for me! I wonder what the difference is!) so things like this are really helpful to keep in mind!!

That is really weird! I've also been able to solve my stuck pregnancies in Windows 10 with Carolyn's method and had no problems. I've seen Windows 10 do a lot of weird things to petz games, but not that. Though I usually breed in Petz 5, so maybe that has something to do with it?

I'll chime in and say I haven't had that issue either. I am pretty sure that every time I've unstuck a pregnancy, I've done it in the playpen, so it very well could be something going on with the custom scenes!

Thanks for chiming in, everyone. Makes me feel better knowing that these methods still work. I was a hair’s breadth away from unpacking and booting up my retired Win7 laptop to fix this. Wouldn’t have been an extreme hardship, but I get nervous whenever the threat of potential obsolescence creeps in. Glad I don’t have to worry about losing access to solutions if ye olde laptop goes kaput.
And I’d say you’ve all confirmed that it was a custom scene issue! Until recent years I nearly always played the game in the playpen, so I wouldn’t have come across this issue before now. Thanks again!
