I noticed there isn't a thread for this, and it might be fun to show off cute and funny pics of your pets (or wanna be pets). You can post old or recent photos, new pets or old pets, and if you don't have any, that's ok. You can share what you want for a pet.
I will start it off with some of my pets... This is Kimi, a.k.a Blondie or White Girl, my chubby old Siamese mix who decided to live with us several years back, along with a few of her kittens who are sadly no longer around. RIP my kitties. When she was a kitten, she was a white fluff ball, hence her other name White Girl.
This is Julie, a new addition to the family. My family and I found her in our wood pile last spring after hearing her crying for food. Her mother abandoned her week-old litter of kits after it had been raining for a few days. Lucky we found her just in time. She's so cute when she attacks her Pikachu toy (sorry I don't have a pic of that)

Ooh yay, an excuse to show off my real pets XD Princess! Prin prin! I just looove taking photos of her :3 She has a very sweet high-pitch meow that I can imitate pretty well, at least it seems that I can since I can "meow" at her for a minute, then she purrs at me! And here's Tiggy, her sister. She is the dominant sister and likes to be the boss of Prin. She is also better at catching bugs & small lizards, and sometimes I see her teaching Prin how to (Tiggy wanders about, Princess follows, Tiggy catches a bug without killing it and gives it to her, then Tiggy watches Princess as she paws at it). And here's Buddy. He is very old, being only a year younger than me. He rarely ever barks anymore, but when he does it sounds like a wubbing noise XD just a random fact.

^ Princess is such a cutie <3 She looks like my Kimi-cat when she was younger. Buddy also reminds me of my dog Chester. He always acted like such a puppy, even in his old age.

My guinea pig, Captain Patches. Named for the black eye patch he has. We call him Captain mostly. He looks totally different on the other side, and he has a perfect line separating his black fur from his white on his belly. His favorite thing to do is eat his veggies in bed. LOL

And to show this isn't spam, here is Julie curled up in a ball (she's about two weeks old in this pic)

Ooooooo fun! I want to play! I have to warn you, once I start posting pictures of my baby, I can't stop! My baby girl, the love of my life, the one who has left a paw print permanently engraved in my heart forever: Lady(AKA - Lady Bug / Bugs)This is a bit of a long story, but I promise it's a good one!! She is a Whippet/Rat Terrier mix, and she just turned 8 years old April 1st of this year. I adopted her when she was 7 months old from the shelter. The people who owned her mom, moved away and left their pregnant dog to fend for herself. The puppies were born, and a couple days later, neighbors called animal control with complaints of barking, bad smells, and inactivity in the house. Sure enough, they found the mom, Lady, one other live pup, and 6 who didn't make it. They took the three in, and found all of them homes once the puppies were old enough. Lady went to a home of a typical family with two kids, and the parents gave her up only a few months later and said, "she wasn't getting along with the kids". During their behavior training at the shelter I rescued her from, they found she was absolutely terrified of children, and even small adults. They think the kids teased her to create that fear. That's when I come in. I fell in love with her the moment I saw her. She was the only dog in the whole shelter that was cowering in fear at the back of her crate. As I approached, the people said, "she's not very friendly, don't be surprised if she growls at you". So I bent down, made kissy noises to her and stuck my finger in her crate, and she immediately came up and started licking my finger. The staff was like, "Wow, I think she just chose YOU". It was a done deal after that. Here we are, 8 years later, and this dog means more to me than anything else. She is not only one of the most well behaved dogs I know, but kids love her (and she loves them back thanks to some training), she is so sweet and loving, she has such a big personality packed into her 25lb body, and most of all, she shows affection to me like no other dog I've witnessed give affection to their owners. She literally jumps for joy when I come home, then starts crying like she's so happy to see me, she just can't hold back her excitement! So I'll sit down on the couch to give her hugs and kisses, and she will nestle her head in my chest as hard as she can (while crying), and try to sit on my lap so her whole body is touching mine (like she can't get close enough to me). It literally melts my heart into goo every time. She is my little Lady Bug, my everything, and I love her more than words can express! (The real lady, hanging out with the Petz-y Lady, hexed by Domnio!) Hanging out at a local pets festival! Going for a car ride, decked out in her favorite football team attire! GO BEARS! "Mooooom, can I PLEASE sleep with you tonight???" Last but NOT least... my favorite trick she does... BANG! My sister taught her this trick, and recorded this video to show me! I still crack up every time I watch it! LOL! (And yes, that is my parent's Jack Russel in a poofy Christmas jingle collar off to the side!)Gosh, isn't she just adorable? I know I'm biased, but you gotta admit... she's pretty dang cute!!!

my little bruce! he's a min pin mix of some sort. how i came to have this little guy as a family member - i work in a shelter. he was in our care (and available for adoption) for almost 3 months. in that time he only met 2 or 3 potential families. i could never understand it! he is the most charming little dog if you take the time to actually get to know him. but he is painfully shy, so he just needs a lot of time and patience from people! all of my coworkers encouraged me to take him home for a kennel break, which is just a short-term foster period. he'd light up every time he saw me coming through with potential adopters, and everyone would say, "you should just adopt him, jesika. he doesn't like anybody else!" so i brought him home for 3 days and after that just couldn't take him back again. now here we are, almost a year later and he's just the perfect little dog for me and my bf! oh, and before this, i'd never had a small dog before (or one that was as fearful as he is). not only has he been a fun little dog, he has also been a great learning experience for me! hahah

[sidles into thread] [coughs quietly] I have more pictures of my puppy, Piper, as an apology for my sudden disappearances. Riding shotgun. Looking betrayed after a bath. Visiting campus for the first time. Playing with her friend, Mozzie. (She's actually really gentle with him, they get along very well!) Sitting with Jack. And looking rather goofy with my brother's dog, Audrey, who is probably wondering how her life led to this point. I stopped letting Jack onto the counters. This is how he retaliated. Helping me pack. And a couple of my buddy, Scoresby (kudos if you know where his name comes from!), after I moved him to his new tank.

This is Maggie. We are not sure what kind of cat she is. We got her 8 years ago from a so called "breeder". We had already gotten our other cat, Boss from this breeder. My mom had a suspicion that the woman was running a cat mill because she wouldn't show us the mother cat. When we brought Maggie home, she was very sick, it turned out she had ring worm. My mom called the breeder and complained and the breeder ended up calling the SPCA on us. They didn't see why there was a complaint since we take care of our pets. The SPCA investigated the breeder, but she wouldn't let them in her house. Todd is the funniest dog I have ever had like omg. I got him 2 years ago, with my own money. I had wanted a Pomeranian for 6 years and my mom met a breeder at a dog show. Todd had 2 sisters who I named Bella, and my mom named Pippa, turns out both families who adopted them didn't even know I had named them this, but came up with those names themselves. xD. Todd was the oldest of the three. He has a great personality. As a puppy, he would tug on string that was attached to my pants and he'd climb up the side of the couch by pulling on it. He learned how to jump on the couch because of this and he will stand on the arms and quietly ruff at my mom when shes across the room. He loves lying on his back like a baby. His nickname is Toad and he loves to play peekaboo. He makes me laugh so much, especially when he makes his happy face. Pippa, Bella, Todd

My rotten Kai dog. He was born December 20th, 2012 and I met him when he was less than 24 hours old. I had no idea that I'd meet him again when he was six months old and adopt him.

My babies! Hennessey is a huuuuge kitty, all muscle, and mostly blind. His hobbies include talking a lot and rubbing on toes. Also sometimes he's the doctor. With his BFF Percy. Percy was my cat, and when I moved in with my lady the two of them took to each other instantly, and are almost inseparable. It's SO cute. Pink nose is excellent for booping. Also he loves his scratching post a little bit. This is about as close as Zephyr will get to him. She's our old lady, 11 years old and hater of all boy cats. But she's pretty and she loves her humans. She does not, however, approve of suitcases. Who does, though? #occupyluggage Bonus kittyboy loves. ♥
