Origin is also doing a sale right now, I snagged a dlc world for about half what I would've paid had I bought it directly from the Sims 3 store. ^ I bought the Sims 3 Worlds Bundle at 70% off for only $5.99 (includes Monte Vista and Hidden Springs). I'm hesitating about Dragon Valley for $5.99 too... Do you have it Selena? Is it worth it? I was also interested in Island Paradise, but it's only 50% off (I'm Steam-spoiled). Dragon Valley and Hidden Springs are ah-ma-zing! Yes, they're that good, I felt the need to do that. Monte Vista is nice, but after HS and DV, I'm not as excited about it. It's very well done though. I have: Roaring Heights, Midnight Hollow, Dragon Valley, Monte Vista, Lunar Lakes, Hidden Springs, Barnacle Bay, and Riverview. I've also got all but the Katy Perry stuff pack and Diesel, so if someone has a question, I'd be happy to answer. I'm kind of determined to pick up all the dlc worlds.

I really need to be extra picky this year. I just don't play enough to keep up with the games that I want to finish but I have got my eye on a few things. Haha, I say this every year... If I manage to behave, my husband goes nuts. The summer Steam sale is evil.

^Hehehe! Evil but sooo good! I ended up buying Rollercoaster Tycoon 2 on GOG and Fez during the weekend deal on Steam. I started playing RCT2 last night and it's so good. I've only done two scenarios so far but the game has sucked me right in.

May even be my favorite game of all time! I don't know if you're as much into the decoration of the park as I am, but I had created a few objects that can be recolored (same as those in game, but recolorable) -- they included some roof pieces and all the base flowers, I believe. I can zip them up for you with info on where to put them to make them accessible to the game if you like. I also have some really nifty coaster designs I had made, if you're interested Building coasters is half the fun, IMO -- I especially liked making space-saving coasters, so they can easily be plopped in any park for a minimum cost.

That would be awesome. I haven't looked into custom content yet so that would be a great start. If you could send them to catbaloo84 at hotmail.com please I would love to check them out. I'm still on the Alcatraz scenario at the moment. I could just plonk down the ten rollercoasters required and be done with it but it's such an interesting layout I can't help fiddling with the pathways and making little food court areas. Got to make it look pretty, or at least well balanced. I've just got to figure out why the mechanics can't fix the monorail?

RCT2 is the BEST. I love it. I've just got to figure out why the mechanics can't fix the monorail? If your monorail has multiple stations, make sure to double check which one is broken and if your mechanics can reach it. They can only reach it if they can follow a path there, and if the paths are very complicated they might not get there. The game also loves assigning the task to fix something to a mechanic that is nowhere near the ride, and then when it takes too long for him to get there the task is assigned to another far-away mechanic sometimes (if I remember correctly). In any case, if you wanna force them to fix it, find which station needs fixing, leave only one piece of path by the exit and disconnect it from any other paths (just delete some), and put all your mechanics on this one piece of path. One of them should go in the exit and fix the thing up soon enough.

Good tip, I'll have to remember to delete the path next time. I kept plonking them down in front of it after assigning them to that area and they would walk up to it and then immediately turn back. I fixed up a nearby bit of path while they were doing that dance and suddenly the thing was working again. Not sure if they just got their act together or something about the path triggered them to go in; they had access to both the exit and entrance beforehand so I'm puzzled but happy that I won't have so many tired people in the park now. Also learnt that what I thought was piles of rubbish on the floor is actually puke. Lovely. XD

They "forget" their assigned task if you pick them up. :c So if a mechanic is on its way and you move him there, it doesn't work.

Yup I think I did that too much at the start. Works well for the handymen not so much the mechanics.
I've just finished the Woodstock scenario. It kept hanging around at the 1400 visitor mark right through September Year 2. Managed to push it just over the 1500 mark partway through October. *wipes brow*

I'm not very excited for TS4. I didn't enjoy playing 3 at all. It was too much for me or something. I loved being able to customize everything and have more detailed Sims but 2 will always be my favorite! I didn't like in 3 how everyone elses life just continued while I played with my Sims as dumb as that sounds! I guess I just liked having control like I did in 1 and 2. hahaha
I hope they do a remake of Making Magic... that and Pets were my favorites!!
I can't run anything past 2 on this computer so I doubt I'll get 4 until I upgrade to a new computer system. :b

As rumoured the Steam Sale has started today! I'm mainly hoping that the Pinball FX2 tables I want go for a slightly deeper discount than 50% if possible. Plus I'd like to pick up Skyrim Legendary Edition to gift to my Dad as he's been thinking about buying it. I'm sure that will come up in a daily deal as it normally does. Anyone else hoping for some bargains?

Wow, Skyrim @ 75% off on Steam today, and Legendary Edition @ 66% off! I think this is the lowest I've ever seen Skyrim?

That is an amazing price. I bought the Dragonborn DLC last sale for nearly the same price as the Legendary Edition is now. I've just bought the base game for my Dad. I was going to get him the Legendary Edition but thought it might be best for him to wait for the Dragonborn storyline. You can disable the DLC but I know he wouldn't remember to.
