I've been at a loss at what games to play, so I decided to make this topic. Not sure how active it'll be BUT. Might give some ideas. Right now I'm currently (trying to...) focusing on; DarkYou're a vampire and you're trying to find the guy who turned you/figure out what happened to you. The graphics have a Dead To Rights/Max Payne 1 feel to it (MEMORIES). I overall like the idea (I like cool vampires) and I don't really mind the graphics or the game play, but my God those voice actors. They are horrible. xD Especially the main guy. You know that kid in class who reads really slow, yet the teacher seems to always pick them to read? That's the feeling I get when the main guy talks. BUT, over looking that, the overall game play is ok. It's more strategy than it is action. I wished it was more action-y. I'm not very far with it but it's decent enough for me to try to finish. OutlastWARNING. If you get scared easily, don't watch the trailer. I actually just heard of this a few days back and finally got it. I thought about playing it now, but it's dark so I thought I'd start it tomorrow to see how scared it makes me before playing in the dark. xD The use of the video camera reminded me of Fatal Frame (MORE MEMORIES). I was a big Amnesia fan (although I never finished cause my saved game is on another hard drive and no way am I starting over xD) I keep reading this one is way scarier than Amnesia so it makes me want to play it more, but I'm still waiting to play tomorrow just to be sure. xD I know I'll end up playing at night most of the time BUT STILL. Gotta test. I WAS playing the Assassin's Creed franchise, but Altiar 4 lyfe and I got bored of the other characters (FOR REAL! CONNER?! ) I'm waiting for the new Thief too. I WAS PLAYING THE SIMS 3 TOO but I got bored as always. xD Installed but not playingMiasmata (I'm too dumb to play that game and I always fall down cliffs and drop my plants Q_Q) You're a guy on an island trying to find a cure for something you have and there's a big mean cat who tries to kill you all the time. D; Primal Carnage DINOSAURS. I don't play this too much cause I'm not really a fan of 'team based' games. (There's only so many 'ur mom's I can take) But it is fun being the dinosaurs Vampire - The Masquerade - Redemption I KNOW IT'S OLDISH but I still have it on my computer, along with the ones that followed. Guild Wars 2 There's only so many level 80's I can get before I got bored. xD I thought about starting back up again but with Outlast, maybe not now. Last I did was spent about 15 gold on a white cat limited edition mini. xD + A bunch of Prince of Persia that I get bored with and promise to finish again someday yet never do. + Amnesia that I have the hope of someday getting into my old hard drive to get the saved game. SO. What games are you currently playing/wanting to play/want to buy but want opinions/whatever else about games? If anyone mentions a scary game I haven't played, I shall be thankful. Edit: JUST GOT SLENDER THE ARRIVAL (WARNING might be scary to some people) Which I think I may dare play tonight... Yes. Playing now.

hahaha bad voice acting ruins games for me COUGH FFX COUGH. I can't bear it, makes me cringe so much (the bit where they force themselves to laugh in FFX amirite??)
I bought the remastered Monkey Island 1 and 2 in a cheapo bundle like a month ago (for £3, you'd be mad not to) but never got round to playing! I remember all the Monkey Islands I HAVE played being really absorbing and I just don't have the time for that right now, with full time work :c and over Christmas I'll be heading to the boyfriend's family's so can't take my desktop... looks like any proper games are on hold until this temp job ends.
I never finished Skyrim either (ha, "finished"), as I let my boyfriend play GTA V over the last few months. I really want to get back into it but it doesn't help that the downstairs TV blurs everything up (horrible quality for a flatscreen), and even if you sharpen everything, it still looks retarded. I've been waiting to get my own TV in my room but that keeps being delayed for one reason or another, sigh. could alway hook it up to my desktop monitor but then my boyfriend can't play vidya games when I want to use the computer.
also I'm obviously playing Pokemon X because awesome, I've not even got all the badges and most of my pokemon are like level 70! I remember in Blue and Red etc, you'd be fighting the Elite Four by levels 50-60 lol. I love this exp share thing man. I can't even play Pokemon properly though, I get like overall an hour on my journey in to and out of work, a day. when I get home, it's dinner and then I don't have that much time before I have to sleep! how do people have lives when they have a 9-5?!
ALSO I should be checking in on my town in Animal Crossing: New Leaf but other than giving Marjet some flowers/nicking some fruit, I've not touched the game since I got Pokemon oops. I've written down the last time I played and have to go back in time with plans to play through solidly every "day" until I've got to the current date, so my town doesn't go to crap/no one moves out lol... that's sad, isn't it?? haha.
there are quite a few games I want to try for the PS4, but that means getting a PS4 first lol. can't remember the names of the games off the top of my head, but one was like steampunk Victorians and vamps/werewolves or something. it looked AWESOME.

Yes, bad actor voices ruin it for me too. xD Sometimes I just mute my sound and read the subtitles. xD
I forgot about console games! D: I was playing GTA V (my wife laughed so hard at the adult building~ and wouldn't let me leave xD "TRY THAT ONE NOW!" "HE'S LOOKING!") but I always melt back to the PC. I started to replay FF8 too which I am still actively playing just cause of MEMORIES.
I have to actually admit that I haven't played Skyrim. :x Which is weird to me cause I obsessed over Oblivion. I stayed up all hours and got only a few hours sleep with that game.... I want to play it again...
I never really got into Pokemon. :x But it must be awesome since a lot of awesome people I know obsess over it.
Gah. I want to play next gen games too but ehhhh. I'm sure my FIL will buy the PS4 AND Xbox One just cause he's rich. But I will be stuck with PS1/PS2/Xbox 360 consoles. Q_Q Plz release for PC too.
I played Slender The Arrival last night in the dark with my wife next to me. I screamed, which made her scream. :x It's a lot more stressful than the first one, I will say that. My character ended up freaking out and 'seeing' him (I couldn't see him) 3 minutes in the game?? When I replayed, he didn't show up for 20 mins. So not sure what went on there. o.o
JUST FOUND Assassin's Creed Bloodlines for PSP. But he sounds different and runs weird, so eh. We'll save that for long car rides xD
Gonna go play Outlast soon. Let's see if it truly is scarier than Amnesia.

You read my mind. I was thinking about starting a general game thread. I love hearing about what people are playing.
I've recently finished Costume Quest which is a cute Halloween themed RPG game. It's a bit on the easy side but if you just want a nice game experience that only takes a few hours (around 6hrs for the main game and the DLC fully completed) it's worth playing.
I have quite a backlog of games to get through so I'm a bit spoilt for choice on what to concentrate on next. I want to finish Bastion, Trine 2 and start Super Meat Boy so I may pick one of those. I've completed Trine 1 which is a beautiful puzzle platformer although I want to go back and find a few things for the achievements.
Playing WoW in short bursts. I'm going for the mount on Timeless isle and gathering the mats for the Sky Golem. I keep forgetting to log in daily so it's taking me longer than it should have. I always get fed up of the grind eventually and lose interest. I'm also levelling a Paladin but again keep stop starting with her.
This weekend I've been playing Skyrim. I added a few armor and gameplay mods. My smithing isn't high enough to make them so I've got to work on that. I'm trying not to fast travel anywhere so I go to areas where I have several quests to complete and finish them all before moving on. It's hard to keep track of everything though so half the time I'm just randomly exploring a cave and then find that I've killed or looted something that I needed for a quest. My horse died so I need to buy a new one. Normally I just reload a save if that happens but I came out of the dungeon to find him dead and no amount of reloading helped so he must have died before I went in there. So yeah being in the middle of nowhere having to run back to the nearest city was fun... B|

OUTLAST. PLAY IT. I even streamed it to Star and Mo while I played it and it was fun with them cause when I got scared they just made me laugh. xD (Or "DID U SEE THAT?!" "WHAT WAS THAT?!" "I DON'T KNOW!!!"
But for riz. Muuuuuch scarier than Amnesia. My wife asked if it was more scary than Slender The Arrival and I almost want to say Outlast is scarier in more ways. Slender The Arrival is scary because it's more random and sometimes in Outlast you're thinking 'K... somethin's gonna happen...' but then the stuff in Outlast is more scary... I DON'T KNOW.
But anyone who likes scary games, I say get Outlast, and if you can, Slender The Arrival is really scary too.

I don't normally pay much attention to the Humble Bundle weekly sales, just the big events but I got the email about the Pinball FX2 bundle and couldn't resist. I've played the demo before and loved it but I didn't like the price for the different packs. This bundle doesn't include them all but it does give you a great selection and includes some of the Star Wars and Marvel tables. Loving it, so much fun.

I can't play any of those scary games, they freak me out way too much! I bought the Pinball FX2 tables from Humble Bundle too! (and bought another copy for my boyfriend). Couldn't resist such a great deal, and they're a lot of fun! I really want some of the other tables, but will wait for a bigger sale. I'm currently playing Mass Effect 1 (science-fiction RPG that's a few years old, but great) and also bought the sequel, Mass Effect 2 (action/RPG). I'm considering getting the Skyrim Legendary Edition while it's on sale on Steam, but I don't know... as I've already played most of it on XBox. Still, there are 3 DLCs included that I never played, so might be worth it (I'm actually interested in the Heartfire DLC, where we can build our own houses and adopt children, among other things, and another DLC allows you to fight while riding your horse). Things I'm waiting to hit 66% or 75% off: - Euro Truck Simulator 2 - Going East DLC (this game is GREAT!!) - Farming Simulator 2013 Official Expansion (love this game too) - The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings Enhanced Edition (loved the first one!) - Kerbal Space Program (intriguing game)

Looks like that one is in the daily deal today. I would recommend getting the PC version of Skyrim even if it's just to try out the mods. If you do get it I recommend a house mod call Breezehome Fully Upgradable if you prefer to be based in Whiterun. I've always liked the house but it didn't have enough room. This mod gives you places for all of your books and places to craft and you can store your ore/leather etc. right next to the crafting stations and you don't have to take them out to use them, it loads them automatically. Plus it has a small garden outside and a balcony so you can sit and enjoy some mead. Really nice mod. Steam sale wise I'm not looking for much. I have a large wishlist but I don't want to add much to the backlog at the moment. EA are having an Origin sale though so I may pick up Sims 3 Pets.

I know what you mean about Steam... I have 80+ games in my Wishlist (only a few I REALLY want though), and so many games waiting to be played. I just picked up the DLC for Euro Truck Simulator 2 @ 75% off, and also bought Skyrim LE 5 minutes before the end of the sale, haha. Couldn't help myself. Thanks for telling me about the mods -- not sure I would have dared to try them otherwise. I used to have my main house in Whiterun on the Xbox, because I like its central location (but with the Hearthfire DLC, I plan on have all the houses available -- woohoo!) Didn't know about the EA sale. Going to look now! (oh no...) I have The Sims 3 Pets, but no other expansions or stuff packs, so I might be very tempted. I'm just not sure which one or two (or three) to pick, since I kind of want them all... I think Seasons is one I'd definitely want. Also tempted with SimCity, even though it's said to be such a big flop.

If you like Sims games, I hear Sims 4 is coming out next year... They changed a lot of stuff this time (I think), search Sims 4 on YouTube.
Oh yeah, and have you played Minecraft?

Minecraft is currently minimized. I have a server with my wife. We're in a city right now and I just finished the massive wall. I'm waiting for the sheep I caught to regrow their hair so I can shave them, dye it red, and build a barn. >.> If I think about it, they'll be living in their hair... Ah well. Tired of the leads breaking all the time. I wanted to try SimCity too but eh. I've heard a lot of issues too so I'm not sure. The Farm simulation seems interesting, I may check it out. xD

Minecraft is an addiction of mine... Been playing it for I think over two years and still love it, the thing that keep bringing me back though is the Medieval rp server I go on. :3 Just logged off before actually. I also like the Creatures Series.

SimCity got bad reviews because of the server going down right as it was released, but with everyone on like it was..well, it's understandable. My understanding that is if you enjoyed SimCity Social on FB (which I did), you'd like SimCity for the PC. (I used to be friends with someone who worked for EA, she was usually correct about these things). Also: Get Seasons, if you only get one expansion or Supernatural.

I just tried playing the Farming Sinulator without the tutorial and I was lost. xD I just minimized it for lunch but I'll start over with the tutorial. xD I tried going GTA on the people, but they all seem to be ghosts. D:
It's unique. At least from the games I normally play.
