Meet WIP Petzy Wolfie, and IRL Wolfie who died around 15 years ago. Base is Cirrutopia Fuzzy Husky - Labrador I feel stuck, and not certain what to do next. Maybe it's the color that is throwing me?... Or something? My Mom already mentioned that the spot at the end of the tail is too much, when I was showing her this graphic. Would a lighter gray work better? A different in game texture? ... I do think I need to bring the Paintball stripes lower on his legs.

Wolfie is looking good so far! He looks so chonky and soft and cuddly <3 I definitely agree with you about making the markings a lighter grey rather than black. Adding more paintballs to graduate/blend the colour of his markings down his body, though time consuming, could look really effective. In the photo, I notice Wolfie's facial makings seem to come closer to his eyes and a little ways down his forehead; they seem quite high upon the hex. RL Wolfie also seems to have a band of white across his shoulders that stands out to me too. I've found "translating" real life markings into petz can be quite tricky, so I understand that feeling of being "stuck"! I'm finding the key is to simplify, and not try and capture every little detail. Try and boil things down into more basic shapes if you can.

I like using plush@105 for husky/wolf markings If you make the black 35 and use plush with 105 transparency, you'd get something like this. If you want the tail marking to be there but not as solid as the rest, you could put a few paintballs on the last tail ball colored 15 with the same plush@105. If you wanted to blend the back color into the white body, you can copy/paste the same paintballs that are there, make them maybe 5-10 sizes bigger, change the color to white and paste the code under the original ones, using the same plush@105. Takes some trial and error

My apologies for not replying until tonight. I've had a busy few days, and haven't had the energy to work on it until today. I decided to leave the tail tip out altogether, as it's not that color in other photos of him. It must have been dirt I guess? It's loads better than it was. I'll work on it a more later, but I wanted to show you all the progress. I'm too tired to do anymore tonight. Laura 🐹 You make a good point. I was probably getting myself lost in the details. That compounded my not knowing what I was doing into overwhelming myself. I needed the reminder that Hexing a IRL pet is sort of like drawing a caricature of a pet. midnightwolf Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! That's exactly what I was tying to figure out how to do, but I didn't know how to ask. The image edit is extremely helpful! I followed your suggestions on the textures, that made a huge difference. For future reference: On layering the patches, do the underneath balls have to be line directly under the particular patch, or is it enough to just be lower in the file? Checking to see if I understanding this correctly: The higher in the list of paintballs, the higher the layer is on the pet? Like Layers in Gimp, or Photoshop? ETA... It's 1AM here.. My apologies if the directly above question is something of a mess. I'd normally wait until daytime to post, but I was too excited to wait. XD

Popping in to say yes-- the higher the line of code under paintballs, the higher the layer of it on the pet!
He's looking great so far, Stancy!! ^^

Thanks Bunni... That will hopefully make things easier next time. I didn't really pay attention to what order that I made the paintballs in, so the patches are all over the place. I'm resisting the urge to tidy them as now I know that I may mess things up. :-) I'll just have to try and be neater next time.

stancymckatt OMG, Wolfie is looking amazing!! I love the new progress shot of him you uploaded, what a massive improvement already! I can't wait to see more Just a small note, I don't know if it's any help; when you have big lists of things in your petz' LNZ file, like a ton of paintballs or lots of addball work, you can always add "notes" in to yourself to help you keep track of things. Any line prefixed with ";" acts like just like the dev's commentary in the file. My brain goes asghesffg when I see a big list of numbers, but I find that using that to break things into chunks REALLY helps me "see" where I'm going. I can explain more if you want! (Or if you already know about it please feel free to tell me to shut up, hahaha! )

Laura 🐹 Its a really good tip. Thanks for thinking of it! Notes are always useful in something this long :-) I think I'm going to call him done. It's been several days, and I don't want to tweak anything else. midnightwolf Bunni and Laura thanks bunches for all your help! <3
