Hello! I want to use this thread to talk about some Dalmatian puppies I am naturally raising! Recently, I put out a request to borrow a male Dalmatian to sire a litter with my champ Diamonds: (shiny) I was (and most definitely still am) on my purebred Dalmatians hype, requesting a Dalmatian that was not only an SGCh, but purebred and non-inbred as well (who is she?!). Diamonds was my first showing champ and I am too sentimental (/elitist?!), so I loved the idea of Diamonds having a litter from champion Dalmatian lineage, particularly through joining forces with another user from the community! And Amanda stepped up, bringing Carlyle to the table, an SGCh purebred, non-inbred Dalmatian who has PKC titles as well!!! Obviously Diamonds was swooning and I was gleefully twitterpated with Dalmatianism (it could happen to you!). Diamonds and Carlyle had a pretty large litter of ten pups (!) but I just wanted to show a select few of them here: (Carlyle's show image is by Amanda) Robena was adopted by Amanda and I chose Finlay and Morganna to naturally raise! I had hoped that Diamonds' eye colour would pass down and I found Finlay's spot-lacking really endearing! I found Morganna really striking with her dark green eyes that she gets from her Dad's recessive gene. She also has her Mum's nose spots which is my favourite spot pattern! I am planning to raise these two up to age 100 and hopefully enter them in forum showing to get titles of their own! I love carrying on SGCh lines. Finlay is already posing while Morganna is a lot more sassy and aloof. She also does not like Finlay at all! Which is inconvenient because it's difficult to have them out together! (angery) Luckily, Diamonds is a canny peacemaker and solves the conflict with a communal nap! That's all of my Dalmatian conversation for now, thanks for reading! Do you have any ideas for shownames for these two? My showing has been all over the place recently so I feel rusty ^^;; Naturally raising is so great for chilling out and helping creativity to regenerate! Also, Dalmatians!

What a good dali family!! And thank you again for my Robena! I'm happy I could help- it was perfect for me too since I had one too many dalis in my pkc lines so Carlyle was the odd-one-out without a mate <3

Oh wow, this was such a fun read and I LOVE how well this all turned out for both Dogz! It's like they were meant to be!! And wow those puppies are pretty!! I love Finlay's lack of spots too, and Morganna's unique dark green eyes...I don't know if I've seen quite that color on a purebred Dali before?? She's absolutely stunning!! <3
I can definitely see why you love Dalis so much...and I agree about the fun snout spots, they're like freckles, so cute!! But yes, you can have a whole hoard of Dalis and their spot patterns alone make them all so different and unique! I've never really pursued any kind of Dali breeding line, mainly because Dalis are so popular and are all over the place...it seemed kind of like something everyone was already doing, and didn't seem too interesting at first. But seeing all of this kind of makes me want some of my own...
Maybe I should give it a try sometime and see what I can come up with! <3

Eee the pups (and parents) are gorgeous! I too love the double nose spots. It's amazing how purebred dalis with a white coat colour can have such a different look when it's just the spot number/placement and eye colour that changes.

Thank you so much for all your kind words you guys! ^o^ I'm glad you agree about the nose spots hehe Amanda Ahh that's awesome, I'm really glad Diamonds could fulfil that role for Carlyle! <3 CatCreature Yes yes yes, I definitely think you should get into some Dali breeding hehe! I love seeing what eye colours pop up and choosing which ones I want to inherit down. So I'm always interested in collecting purebred Dalis from other users to have more eye colour combos to choose from :3 I don't think I've seen Morganna's green on a Dali either! I know what you mean about Dalis being everywhere and can understand why that might dissuade you - at least if you got bored in the middle of breeding, there'd be lots of users to adopt your Dalis out too hehe! Either way, I always enjoy reading about your petz and their adventures n_n zan I'm definitely with you on that! I think the eyelid colour can also make a huge difference as well, especially between black and white lids! I remember you were doing a spot-lacking project at one point? I hope that went/is going well! ----------------------------------------------------- Some Dalmatian updates!Finlay and Morganna are growing up super quickly! Between playing, grooming and dinner time, Mum Diamonds has been encouraging some posing practice! Despite being really eager to pose in early photography sessions, Finlay was very shy with Mum around - he only started posing once her back was turned! Morganna meanwhile, was almost getting it ... But the urge to groom captured more of her attention! To mix things up a bit, Diamonds decided on a different tactic - to introduce her puppies to other Dalis with showing experience to inspire them! Finlay and Morganna met Shiro and Kuro who are SGChs just like their mother and father: Finlay & Shiro | Morganna & Kuro
Finlay was very much in playful puppy mode, while Morganna joined Kuro in some posing! Perhaps she'll be a champion yet? Nevertheless, Diamonds adores them and is in no real rush for Finlay and Morganna to become champions just yet, as this will mean they're no longer her funny puppies!

Morganna is honestly super pretty! I'm not a huge fan of dalmatians but your pictures and captions make me like them a lot more, they really bring out their unique personalities and looks. <3

It has been a long long while since I've updated this thread! Of course in this time, both Finlay & Morganna have reached 100 days in age and they've both entered the show ring! All grown up!
Here are their show names & poses:
Cargo/Gin's Diamond of Carlyle "Finlay"
Finlay's show name combines the names of Mum & Dad! I love that he has Diamonds' eye colour so he can sparkle in the same way.
Cargo/Gin's Bewitching Glade "Morganna" For Morganna's show name I was thinking about nature because of her deep green eyes (the eyes are a regular starting point for show names it seems!). The siblings still don't get along, even in their big age ...
So instead, they each share some alone time with Mum who, nevertheless, is very proud of her two pups and how far they've come!

Your Dalmatians are beautiful! Thank you so much Elfabet! <3 I can't get enough of 'em! The big day has finally arrived - both Morganna & Finlay have hit SGCh! They're both showing Supreme Grand Champions just like Mum & Dad <3 and will have a retirement post on my showroom soon! Of course they had to don some fab accessories to celebrate (and party in separate rooms for Finlay's safety)! Stay tuned - I loved collaborating with Amanda to breed these two gorgeous Dalis with champ lineage, so I'm going to continue the tradition! At some point, both Finlay & Morganna will be seeking SGCh Dali mates to partner up with and have litters of their own. When they're ready, I'll post on the Breeding Services board. Thank you for following their journey so far!

[shab-lee] I love an excuse to make little graphics! Going forward, I decided to make a new prefix for this collaborative Dali line, Chablis! Cargo/Gin's Diamond of Carlyle at Chablis "Finlay" | Cargo/Gin's Bewitching Glade of Chablis "Morganna" |
Chablis is sometimes an ingredient in a cocktail called a White Cargo, that also contains ice cream and gin! I found this cocktail when thinking of how I could reflect the first collaboration of this project between myself & Amanda. A White Cargo is a mix of our prefixes! So, I wanted a prefix that referred back to this cocktail and decided on Chablis. I'm finally ready to seek a dam & stud for Finlay & Morganna - I'll share a link to this seeking post when it's up! If they should have litters, the pups I keep will be posted about here and will enter the showring under the Chablis prefix! Here's to an ongoing collaborative cocktail of Dali breeding!

SO FANCY
Is Chablis pronounced the French way, so it sounds like "Shablee Dali?" That has such a nice ring to it!
If it's more like "Shabliss" with a short i sound, I'm pronouncing the whole name "Shabliss Daliss" to match, haha.
