I'm wondering if it matters to you whether adoptions list the genders of pets or not?
I personally like to know (because I usually use the adopted pets for breeding), but I realize it does take some extra time to check and write the names in a particular color or add genders to differenciate them, especially when you have a lot of adoptions to list out (I'm currently preparing close to 100 kitties for adoption, and it takes extra time to check/list genders).
Of course, it's easy to change the gender of a pet with PetzA or LNZ Pro, but still.

I don't mind really. One thing I do though is if I adopt a male dog, and need to switch it to female to breed, I always switch it back to male for whatever reason. I guess I like remembering how I originally adopted it. But I don't really mind if I know the gender of petz since it doesn't influence if I adopt them.

Does this thread refer to adoption services where each Petz available have their gender known or not? If so, I doesn't really matter to me although, if I think a Petz looks more boyish than its gender then I can gender-swap it no bother to suit my needs. Although, how can gender-swapping be done in LNZ Pro? I'm curious.

And about changing the gender with LNZ Pro, it's under the "Petz Info" area, you just click on the gender shown there, which brings up a drop-down menu where you can select the other gender, then click the Save button -- voila

I don't really care myself, but I try to list it when I put up adoptions because some people do.

I personally don't care. I usually have an idea of a pet's gender when I adopt it, and if it turns out not what I expected I either embrace it or just genderswap. It's not really a big deal.

If the person putting up the adoption is adamant that the pet keep its original gender, no swapping allowed, then yeah, they should probably share whether it's male or female. I've never seen that, but I'm sure there's someone out there. Otherwise? Yeah, don't really care.

As I tend not to gender swap petz I've adopted from others, then it is nice to have some indication of whether they're male or female. Plus it's always a nice throwback to the "old" times where people would colour code names, or add certain pieces of clothing/different coloured outlines/just bulking them together into male/female image blocks. It just makes me smile.
Generally though I do not mind, I'm just happy to find something that catches my eye and I haven't had to go through the breeding process to get them.

While I prefer them to have the genders listed, or they do something like using bows/crowns/flowers/whatever to note genders, it's not a make or break deal for me.
The only reason I don't, when I do sometimes put up adoptions of my sammies, is because I prefer the clean look of them without clothes or accessories. Of course, I use names that are pretty obvious, and if all else fails, someone can always ask. ^^

When I'm adopting petz, I honestly don't care about the gender AT ALL. It makes no difference during regular playtime, and if I want to breed it, I'll just gender swap if need be. Plus it's always a nice throwback to the "old" times where people would colour code names, or add certain pieces of clothing/different coloured outlines/just bulking them together into male/female image blocks. I don't bother listing genders on forum/PUGS adoptions, but I always put female petz in bows/hats/etc. on my site for this reason and this reason only. Sometimes it's fun to do something essentially pointless, but nostalgic and cute.

Personally I prefer to keep the gender what I am given, If I'm given a girl, it says a girl, and vice versa. I also prefer it if the ones I adopt out are also kept the same, I just prefer it this way. But then again this is my opinion.

It's not really a strong preference, and it doesn't make a lick of difference to whether I will adopt a pet or not, but I chose yes just because I think it's courteous. Not everyone uses PetzA (although I know I certainly do!) so it makes sense to be upfront.

I'd personally prefer to know gender, just because I'm not a fan of gender swapping. Does it make me not adopt a pet? Not necessarily. It's just something that I would like to know beforehand, but not a deal breaker.

I personally don't sex change pets I've adopted (or bred most of the time), but knowing if they are male or female really does not affect if I'd adopt the pet or not in any way, so I really don't mind if it's listed or not I list if male or female on PUGS and my own site, as they are singles/small litters and isn't too bad to list if male or female when it's only 8 maximum (though that being said when I have several breeding requests to fill it ends up being several litters and my will to list their sex vanishes), but when I'm putting up a fair few in the freebies section, it takes a long time to get all their pictures sorted, their names up correctly and any "extra info" (such as trotting, personality if it's quite obvious, like poodle for sake of example, hidden markings) that by the time that's done, I'm burned out and don't really want to go through all of them individually to ensure their sex is correct too :/ (and tbh even before then I've probably had to double check a few several times as I've forgotten something xD was random named dog a trotter..? I can't remember ;_; oops I forgot to paint those hidden markings on! Back to picture mode.. please can you sit nicely for the camera? I have another 15 cats/dogs to do and you running around pulling faces is not helping! *all pets will do this and will end up spending about an hour gritting your teeth to get a pic that shows off themselves accurately* DX) Of course if someone is curious they are more than welcome to ask ^_^ but I just assume that although interesting to know beforehand, it's not something that would actually stop someone from adopting said pet, not that I have seen anyway
