hoarders drive me crazy! there's one person in particular that adopts from me at the max limit EVERY time, & adopts from shotglass more than once in between each update...usually 2 or 3 times, taking advantage of the limit each time. she's nice & everything, so i send them to her. but sometimes it's just like, "ugh, seriously? you have like, ten thousand petz already!" bleh. i've changed my limit before because of people like this, & now i'm thinking of changing it again.
also, the putting a new pet in your av & sig thing is a great suggestion. if i wasn't too lazy to make the images then i'd do it. ahah. but alas, i'm too lazy. sry guize who adopt to me. :<

^ Maybe you could let her know how you feel?=] I'm sure that if you told her, she'd understand...I mean, you could say that you'd rather give other people a chance to adopt too?
Although of course I'm not 100% sure who you have in mind, I think I have an idea and I'd just tell her your feelings politely<3. If it really bothers you that much, cropping up those feelings is not worth it...

i've made mention of the fact when i send emails to her, she's gotten it a little. but i suppose that might not be a bad idea.

yeah I ended up putting the limit on Aussome as one per litter because particular people used to adopt the POTL as well as about three more from that same litter, and then doing the same for every new litter, every time I updated. :x

^ eeexactly. :< though, i've always had the 1 per litter limit, i had to take it from 3 per person to 2 because of things like that. i've had to put limits on singles before too, cause forever ago, when i had backbeat, there was some girl who'd come & take ALL of the singles at one time. lol. i don't think she's around anymore though.

I've always had an max. of 3 pets a day and not more then 2 from one litter limit. It works perfect for me! I rarely have people who adopt the max. and then come back the next day to adopt the max. again. I also prefer people to e-mail me if they want to adopt a pet of my site. E-mailing costs just a little more time and effort for the adopters. This way, the adopters mostly only adopt pets if they really want them. If you have, let's say a chat box for the adoptions, it takes way less time and effort to adopt and people will adopt more easily. This is the same on the forum(s). You only have to fill out the form and ta-da, wait for your pet to be delivered in your inbox. My point is that 'the pets hoarders' that we're talking about, mostly adopt when it's easy-pie and not too much effort. Does this even make sense? Oh well, I've been rambling, again. It's just what you prefer, and I'm not trying to offend anyone with this. I just thought I'd trow my two cents in here. C:

Putting a (new) pet in your av/signature is a great way to show off too!=D (Although you might get a lot of pm's from people asking where you got the pet from etc.) which isn't so bad if people are polite about it, but I've gotten a couple of pm's regarding one of my petz that were just plain rude=/. Granted that I don't reply to those though...haha. True, but I don't usually mind. c: I'm surprised you've had people be rude to you when asking where a pet's from... that's a little crappy. :I

Does this even make sense? that makes perfect sense! it's a really good point, & i have noticed it. a lot. i've been thinking about removing my cbox because of it, cause i think that's part of the problem.

On the other side, the c-box is a great way to adopt them out quickly. This could be good as well, cause I know you like to breed and I noticed that you breed new litters every week (and delete the leftovers). So if you decide to get rid of the c-box, things may go a lot slower and you may end up having to delete a lot more pets. I'm not saying this is going to happen, but it could be. But you can always try! =]

i remove the leftovers & put them in a grab bag folder. i usually do grab bags when i get 50 catz in one folder & 50 dogz in the other. that way they still get adopted. :3
but i decided to try the email form, because if people really want the pet then they can just apply for it that way. i still email people if i REALLY want a pet, so why can't they for my petz? i do like the speed of adoption with the cbox, & i like to update often, but that's just because i love testing out pairs to breed. haha. i can be a little more patient. besides, i'd rather the petz i try so hard to breed go to people that will truly appreciate them, & actually breed them, instead of going to someone who has thousands of petz & is only going to play with them once & then leave them in a folder.

I mean, if you're really genuinely interested in where a pet came from you have a far better chance at getting an answer if you're nice about it=] haha.

^ xD Now I'm really curious about what those messages said! :x I'm too nosy for my own good.
Oh, one other forum annoyances is when...people don't use smileys. o-o I have no idea why but it scares me a little. I'm so weird. xD; Whoops. [not to offend anyone who doesn't use them. I've got no idea what's up with me, oh dear.]

^ xD Now I'm really curious about what those messages said! :x I'm too nosy for my own good. me too... I mean I just don't understand how or why anyone could/would be rude when asking about where a pet came from?? haha, it just seems entirely illogical... in regards to the whole 'email for pets' thing, I've always gone with that because of the fact that I find cboxes get messy and I've just seen people write in the name of the pet, no pleases or thank yous, and it just... it doesn't tickle my fancy haha. it's just always nice to be pleasant and appreciative when someone's taken the time to breed something they feel is adopt-worthy!

I think it makes whatever your reading more inviting. Lol that sounds so stupid. And I find it annoying when people don't use punctuation D: Unless it's a mistake, because everyone does that once in a while!

^ Smiley's also happen to figure out in what kind of tone someone says something...I mean, do they mean it a funny or sarcastic way etc.?=] haha.
Well, maybe rude isn't the best word to describe it, but some people (some I hadn't even spoken to before) came up to me asking 'that tiger in your signature...where can I get it?' Literally like that...I mean, come one?=/ You could at least make something of it. Or I've had people ask me if I could sent him over, just so they could play with him and sent him right back. Now, I'm not sure how other people are with their petz, but I'm very protective over my own<3 especially my favorites and I won't just go sending them off to people I haven't even spoken to before, lol. (Even if the rules of the original owner allowed it) just no.
I don't want to be mistaken, because I also got a couple of pm's from people regarding Indivar that were really nice and I didn't mind explaining about where I got him etc. to them at all<3 but it's just those 'rude' people that really rub me the wrong way...
