I am grumbling today, so forgive me please.
I have been purchasing and playing Sims since the beginning. I don't play as much as I used to, however my granddaughter has come to love the games as much as I. I preferred the old method of buying and installing a hard copy of each pack... for obvious reasons... constant access and ease of reinstalling if need and no internet required to play. Now it's being purchased through their "EA App". And I prefer to call it the "F'dUp App". Origin was also digital, but at least it was stable and reliable. I bought two EPs on July 30, 2023... and they still won't install through the app. I have contacted EA Support multiple times, and as of this morning... still not playable. I asked politely for a refund, and told them it was my first and last purchase using that app. I'd seen many complaints about it on "no longer Twitter" and held off switching to it from Origin, that is until I was forced to do so. Now I'll have no more ad-ons for Sims 4. I am so disappointed, not just for myself, but for Grace. She really wanted that horse ep. :-(
Anyone else having trouble... or know of any fixes? Do they still sell hard copies even? I haven't thought to look at the stores.

Hey! Sorry for the delay, got silly busy! Thanks for replying =) We have them shown as purchased, they are in game, but faded out in the “manage worlds window” and when mousing over each they have different messages about restart to play, and preorder, not yet available for download (which isn't true ofc, and in the EA app, it lists both of them as installed) …. Very frustrating. The origin app always worked flawlessly. No, I cannot reinstall origin, it goes straight to the EA app. Tried that too. And I have already tried both of those links, thanks anyway. No refund. We attempted to request the purchase be stopped on the credit card, for download not received… neither has happened yet. I feel like I threw away $75 bucks. =/ Edits: I forgot to answer, yes tried repairing the game and the app itself, a couple of times. And uninstalling and reinstalling the app too. I’ve tried everything to no avail. Edits - Update: The bank argued my complaint, and I was refunded for the newest *horse ranch* ep, which is now shown in my game as unpurchased. However, they did not refund the *growing together* ep, which is still in the game, and still isn't working. These eps were purchased at the end of July 2023... into September now, and I'm still dealing with it. Remarkably bad service. All I ever got directly from EA was automated and repeated. Ugh.Edits - Update 2: The bank had to go to bat for me again, however I did get more help from a member of the EA Help Forum as well. I truly hope they get this app to a stable place. I will not purchase another game with it. Buyer beware.
