I'm planning out some hexes, and don't have time to research this at the moment. I was hoping someone would be willing to answer it for me please ? I'm using the default color chart. Please keep in mind I'm a beginner :-) Which colors are the ones that don't show up? Which are the colors that don't go well with normal textures/don't texture? I remember reading that certain colors give trouble, but I don't remember where I read it!

Most of the colours at the very end of the chart, I think around 200+, won't show up properly or will show up differently between computers. (For me, I think most of them show up as solid, non textured black). I couldn't remember which colours exactly aren't texturable, besides some of the "unnatural" ones (like the cyan I think) but I found this post from an ancient thread that might help: Yes, a couple of the high numbers in the PWS chart are incorrect. The LNZ pro chart is correct, so use that when in doubt. I would suggest using 50s or 80s for reds anyway because they are texturable, colors 1-9 and 150+ are untexturable. Using untexturable colors in large amounts, like over most of the pet, tends to look rather ugly as opposed to having a pet that is textured. Untextured colors are best saved for small amounts like in paintball work, eye/nose colors, stuff like that. Also, I should add that if you want coat colours to pass down correctly (if you're making a breedfile, if it's for one pet then it doesn't matter so much), to stick to the colours 15, 25, 35, 45, 55, 65, 75, 85, 95, 105, 115, and 125. Which colours will pass down differ for eyelids and eyes though. If you want to see all colours that will pass down for the coat, eyelids and eyes you can see a chart here. (Scroll down to "colors").

Nyro Thank you very much for the information! This will be a huge help. I'm hoping to do some hexed dogs and cats based on bird colors. The yellow in the 160s, as patches, are the only colors I was thinking of using that I was concerned about. The rest of the birds I think I can do with the normal pallet.
