Project Pittie otherwise known as, my excuse to have hundreds of Lida's amazing Pitbulls
Goals: Breed dogz with all coat colors Breed dogs with mutated eyes (not flukes) Have 8th gen stock with all coat colors, so that later merle and patterning can be introduced.
Current Progress: 1/4 completed - I've bred up to 5th generation in two sets! My current plan is to breed to fifth generation for all sets (8) and then continue with sixth generation to eighth from there. Of course, there were a number of distractions along the way, and I'm happy at all to have made it to this marker! I've also been pretty lucky so far
Rules/Framework: These are relatively fast and loose as I'm doing this sort of project for the first time and want to actually keep it fun and interesting for myself. I'll maintain a maximum of one pup per pair as apart of the line - but i'll also do sideshoot breedings if other siblings are of note. Since I'm breeding more for variety and note necessarily anything specific - offshoots are definitely going to happen.
I am definitely however, trying to limit myself to 4 litters (16 pups) per pair - because otherwise I'll just happily keep breeding until kingdom come with these guys. Ultimately, I want to breed these guys with a merle patterned breed and introduce additional variation - while then breeding back to the pittie look - so I'd rather not have over 4000 pits to choose from, it's already hard enough to pick.
Mutation Tracker:
Coat Colors:
Dusty: AC Black: AC Blue: AC Orange: AC Grey: AC Tan: (Gen 3) Cairn - first incidence Cream: (Gen 3) Soma - first incidence White: (Gen 2) Nena - first incidence Red:
Eye Colors:
Black (x2) - Fluke Blues - True Mutation Pink - Green - Vanessa (G4) Fluke

Generational ExtrasPartly because of my addiction to breeding pitbulls, and partly because of the nature of this kind of project - I have literal hundreds of extra pitties that won't end up being bred. Some of my favorites will probably stay with me, but many of them I simply won't have time or space for! That's where you come in! Interested in a 2-7th gen extra? In this post I'll be working through the extra litters I have in batches, and will try to include at least a headshot of every pittie along with some genotype data I am tracking First up, are the A'sThese are the siblings of Beryl I've catelogged all of the genotype info for these guys that i'm interested in, but i'll only be showing a bit of it here, if you'd like more data before you pick your pittie, just shoot me a DM on discord~ The A pups either show or carry 173 (blue), 127 (dusty?) or 103 (sandy?) eyes. Anima, Athelas and Aura have lid mutations as far as I'm aware. ace - anima - agatha aloo - athelas - aura The J'sone of the (very) rare instances I only bred one litter, and one of which went to another user. These two siblings notably have higher intelligence than most pitbulls from the AC (which average around 30 for me) with Jennie at 68 and Jordan at 47. Their brother Jaime was bred for the line and thus will be staying with me for the time being - and Ryos has their other sibling (also with 68 intelligence) and Jennie's twin, Ibex. Both show 60 (orange?) eyes, and carry blue (173) they either show black (39) or cherry lids (99) and carry the other. jamie - jordan The M'sThe M litter was my big first batch, and I believe the group of pups that brought about the cap for litters. There are 13 total - although one is retained as a line pittie of course. There definitely would have been a full 16 had I not forgotten to set the petza pup number a few times. Most of these show 103 eyes (sandy?) but Mackenzie and Mallie have mutated eyes (123) which I think is dusty it's a small difference but it counts They all carry 173 (blue). They all show or carry grey (25 or 30) or cherry (99) lids. A few also have brindle spotting on their cheeks which I love dearly. marcus - megan - margot - maggie max - mallie - margo - michelle millie - mink - mackenzie

Picturesa few of our starting pairs, originally I was trying to get the widest variety of coat colors I could, but then I ended up prioritizing the flopped ears over the pointed. I'm not necessarily breeding for flopped ears, but I'm definitely partial to them. Generations 2-3
cream markings from the parents, and the tan coat popped up quickly - though these generations are skewed toward warmer brown tones. I also got super lucky and had a white coat pop up second gen <3 My first three tan babes, Carrow - Cairn and Carter came from the same litter and they bicker like it too! Nena, Nedd and Nan (white trio, from different litters) are much kinder to one another than the brothers. I was (and always am) trying to encourage more brindle, but a lot of my favorites ended up being solid coated! A few of the brindle did really capture my heart however, especially Naan (last pictured) Generations 4-5
Here we see full cream coats for the first time! Interestingly enough, we also see a resurgence of pointed ears here - despite the fact that quite a few of our parents in these pairings were floppy. I'm not sure how ear variation works here. One thing of note now is that I've bred myself into a dark eyelid corner, where most of my litters now have grey, black, or cherry lids. I'll want to keep other eyelid options open in the other sections of the project

Goals: Breed dogs with odd eyes (not flukes) I did want to mention this really quick! Are you saying you hope to breed Dogz with both eyes being a different color? Because that actually doesn't pass down in breeding, unfortunately, so I think your only way to get this would be to edit the eyes yourself of whichever pups you want to have eyes like that. :\ I wish it were possible though, just imagine how fun that would be!! That said, that project should be pretty cool! I did this too! I didn't do it in as much depth as you plan to, with all the coat colors and whatnot, but I did breed non-inbred, purebred Pitties up to about 5 gens! You can see my image dump of the process here if you like! ^^ I love looking at Pitties from this file so I'm excited to see what you get!!

I was unfortunately very sad to learn that heterochromia doesn't pass - but in this case I'm referring to mutated eyes, such as green/pink/black etc. that aren't a fluke. I absolutely adore all the variation in this file as well - I was just looking at your posts earlier and it made me want to publically track my own too, so thanks for that c:

07/02/21 - Photos updated! Moving forward: focus on cooler toned parents - breeding red coats! and eye mutations c: varied lids! Current Pittie Count: 263I've also included a sheet with my current pairings: I'll be keeping most of the parents for posterity, but if anyone wants a non-breeding pittie, feel free to DM me! Just let me know what colors/patterns and I can look through my many many many babies.

After quite the haitus (big job change, move, pandemic, house buying etc lol) I'm back at it and just as obsessed with pitties as always. I've lost some of the files within the First set of g5 pitties due to a hard drive crash - But I had quite a few of them backed up and didn't actually lose any ground - and have bred a second set of pitties out to G5 now - I've got about 200 spares, and will post notable cuties here. However, if you're in search of a pittie variant - chances are I've got it c: Except red, that one is still a mystery to me! regina (above) rina (l) and ring (r) (below) roger (l) and rutabaga (r) (above) rin (below) remake (l) and ringo (r) above rhonda (l) and regal (r) below ringa (l) and ron (r) above robbie below ronald (l) and ronnie (r) below rone below roon above rota (l) and rote (r) above rune (cream) and rho (buckskin) below and lastly, ryan (l) and rylie (r) above Rutabaga here is my first incidence of strong red marks and a few of her pups have those same red stockings as well - so with luck we will start seeing more red as the breedings continue! As always, anyone posted here is up for adoption, etc. You can hex, brex, breed and do whatever you like with them c:

Also of note as I bred up to gen 6 are the first red-coated pups! I'm still wanting to breed to full coated variations, but the tricolors are just adorable!
