I've got one dog who seems to be always sick. Whenever I bring him out, I'll check his sickness slider and it's always at 50+, usually much higher. I already gave him medicine today and his sickness level went back to 0, except when I brought him out just now, it was back up. What's causing this? Is this a normal game feature or some kind of bug?

hm, i've heard of that happening with Alley Cats, but never dogs (albeit i don't know much about dogs since i mostly play with cats). can you open him up in LNZ pro and check and see what his number is for "Fleas" under Genome?

hm, it's probably not that then (the "Fleas" number is actually the pet's Messiness trait, which in cats makes them constantly sick and have fleas if it's at 100, i'm not sure if it works the same way in dogs)
i've noticed sometimes when i take out a pet that i had out shortly before, they'll suddenly have sickness or fleas for some reason, so i think the game might randomly give them when you take them out sometimes, so there's a chance it's coincidental? some people have theorized that the Constitution trait might cause them to be more likely to get sick if it's lower, though (i haven't observed this personally but i have noticed that my cat with low constitution gets dizzy and wobbly and tired when his fullness is low regardless of his energy level)

It could be the game randomly making him sick. He didn't seem to eat/drink anything with medicine this last time but after a bit, it went from something like 59 to 0. I'm not really sure what's up with that! I tried bringing him out just now and he was still healthy.
The constitution thing makes sense too! His is only 2, poor thing.
