I'm trying to move my Petz from Catz and Dogz 5 to Petz 5 and then uninstall Catz/Dogz bc I don't need them anymore, but I'm a little nervous. I've uninstalled/reinstalled Catz 5 before bc of a glitch and even though I moved all my catz files somewhere else all my catz and somehow some of my dogz still got deleted! I'm really nervous that'll happen again. Is there a special way I'm supposed to uninstall it? Or is there a better way to ensure my petz will be fine?

I haven't really heard of any of this happen, the game is meant to detect the presence of the other game and merge it to petz 5 as soon as you install both on the same computer. I'm not too sure what is going on or what will happen, but either way you can backup your petz. Go to the adopted petz folder and copy the .pet files to a USB stick, that way no matter what happens to your computer you can put them back when you've got it sorted out. You can then put them back into the adopted petz folder of the new game. I would recommend installing this one in my documents or anywhere else besides 'program files' as program files tend to cause glitches. Hope this helps.

The USB is a good suggestion. But if you don't have a USB handy (I never have a USB handy....) you could always back your petz up on Dropbox or Google Drive: both are really safe options.
