The other day I prepared my crew for Amy's Team Spirit Modeling show! unlimited entries are allowed, so all five members of my personal petz team were able to enter


Thrush and his nephew Ruth were having a grand old time, really feeling their oats as they goofed around together.
Thrush made some silly faces when he knew I was taking pictures, haha.


Brothers Ruth and Minty got along okay in the clothes closet as I picked out their attire

I've been working on some stamps for my team Moonstone Athletes, so you'll be able to see those over on the Duke's Group Summer Olympics thread along with my other Summer Olympics graphics once they're finished!

Oh, and I must welcome a new canine to our family!
this cute blond little lad is named Hayes. Hayes was bred by Nostalgic, but he's so stylish with his blond
fur and fabulous fuzzy legs that I had to build up his ego, and now he has a poodle personality (*cough
hexing magic xD) I'm hoping Hayes and Chia will become sweet friends, and so far they get along good sometimes.
Although Chia isn't quite sure what to think about the interesting arrogant pup.



Aureola definitely seems to enjoy his company I wanted a poodly dude because I thought it would be entertaining
and bring even more diversity to my pack xP

Things are super fun right now with the Summer Olympics events, and I'm happy I can participate this year I get a little busy in real life, but I must stop and smell the digital roses as I play with my petz and participate in this annual animal sports contest online xP

New parents Noella and Casper seem to be relishing in the joys of parenthood Casper is being a lovely
father <3 he loves curling up to nap with his baby son Bliant, and Noella is trying to gently care for him too.



Casper is behaving much like a puppy-guardian lately, making sure his son stays safe and closeby. Noella and I try to help take care of the puppy, although Casper feels compelled to be a nurturing father and is always there <3
Noella is a new mother and hasn't nursed him yet, but Bliant seems to do well drinking from the bottle.


Noella couldn't believe her eyes when her baby stood and opened his eyes for the first
time! it was a very exciting time for all of us

I have finally started a pedigree graphic for my naturally raised crew I will update this as time goes on <3

So recently I was shopping around on PUGS, and I found this sweet little lassie named Cheesecake!
she was bred by Luckypenny, and she looked like such an adorable mini mixie; I had to add her to my furry-family
<3 I normally change the name of petz when I adopt them, but she's named after my favourite dessert! and
recently our church friend who loves to bake brought us some cheesecake, so it felt fitting to keep this pup's
name as Cheesecake xP (even though 90% of the time I avoid added-sugar like it's the plague, ever
since my dog Reeses joined us, naming dogz after sweets has became a high-glycemic theme!)




Reeses didn't mind being around Cheesecake, the two were calm, and Cheesecake was actually a bit shy.
But when Reeses realized Cheesecake had a peppy dachie temperament like himself he quickly warmed up to her!
Cheesecake ended up grooming Reeses out of respect, and Reeses wasn't sure what to think! I guess puppy Cheesecake
is like the daughter he's never had


Neither Chia or Hayes had a problem with the tiny pup, but Reeses sure enjoyed welcoming another mini to the family!


Ruth and Chia seem fond of each other, these two are cousins and they like to play tussle. Although sometimes they
start developing inappropriate feelings and I have to separate them before they put the sin in cousin xD


I captured three funky prancing pictures of these lads, and I thought I'd put them together to make it look
like a parade! hehe.

I decided to return to my sweet sentimental naturally raised crew we've been having a few new babies in the pack.

First, a random fun picture of most of the family members you can get an idea of the diversity/chaos/joy I get to deal with

You might notice this sweet little pup is a fresh face to the Quail's Nest family, and you'd be correct! I decided to name her Whinnie, and she's the daughter of my two beloved minis Aureola and Reeses <3 I'm not sure why I named her Whinnie... Whinnie the mini just sounds cute, and I think Whinnie fits her

We also have another new baby! meet Flax, the fuzzy wuzzy blue baby boy

He's Chia's baby brother, and the son of Sylvia and Thrush.

Chia has smooth grey fur, Sylvia is the mini BC mix, and Thrush is the fuzzy tan & black dog if you're wondering.

I actually decided to find the Border Collie Dali OW file for Sylvia and Thrush's pup this time around, and I'm really happy with what the Petz Genetics God decided to throw! I love my pups

Hi everyone!
I decided I'm going to focus on a few of my crew's next generation members of our family and get to know
them and their aptitudes. Today I'm starting with third generation athlete Chia and adopted member Conifer.

Let's begin with Frisbee skill evaluation; I wanted to see who in my crew is the biggest
Frisbee-catching star, so then I'll know who has the edge and which one I should place in the next Summer
Olympics Frisbee competitions

Let's start with our new lad and athletic rookie, Conifer!

I let Conifer and Chia play for a while like they usually do. They're like two peas in a pod <3 these
pups feed off each-other's jolly energy, don't believe me? I would let you watch them bounce around in response to each-other
but unfortunately that gif is on my other computer, so I'll have to share it when I come back from my vacation.

it came as no surprise that Conifer was too preoccupied with Chia to focus on capturing the airborne
Frisbee, so he was a bit saddened when I put Chia away




But before we knew it he had his eyes on the prize and caught it thrice! the last time he got it two seconds
after I launched it in the air, good boy! he missed it a couple times, but I can tell he has a healthy
drive for Fribee catching





Frisbee level: 3/3

Now let's see how his lady friend Chia does

Chia seemed to loll her tongue in contentment being present in the playpen until she decided she wanted to
pursue the Frisbee;



it took her a minute of Frisbee stalking before she successfully caught it twice!
although she did miss it once, and then decided that she wanted to switch to playing with the Star ball
and posing I can tell she has some skill, but not quite the passion that Conifer has for Frisbee.



Frisbee level: 2/3

I anticipate spending more time with the youngest members of my crew and learning their special sports strengths, fears, and weaknesses ^_^

So for the next evaluations we have courage testing, stick-catching, and flyball for athletic duo Chia and Conifer
who by the way, still love each-other <3



Sometimes they frolic and romp like good old best friends, and sometimes
they make cute sounds as they groom each-other romantically I may give them a spritz of perfume from time to time,
which has escalated their relationship but surprisingly not resulted in pregnancy, so either Conifer is infertile or they
are kosher canines xD

So let's see how brave they are when it comes to heights

First I placed Chia on a shelf to see how she felt about heights;
at first she was feeling pretty brave before soon crouching with a little fear, although she demonstrated a reasonable
amount of uneasiness and bravery and wasn't worried enough to jump down. I'll give her a 2/3 for bravery surrounding

heights



Conifer on the other hand was surprisingly more uncomfortable on the shelf than Chia! he laid down seeming unsure

about what to do before jumping down. What's peculiar is Chia seemed frustrated after I put Conifer on the ledge, so
maybe she was mad at me for putting him in that frightening position xD




I also pulled out the sPooOPy jack-o-lantern to see how easily they're creeped out by it.
Chia stood her ground for the most part but ended up fleeing, so I give her a 2/3 because she wasn't completely
horrified by it xP



Conifer on the other paw made a brazen display as he pounced and held the pumpkin fearlessly! he definitely earned
a 3/3 jack-o-lantern bravery score

Next up was the more fun and less scary tests... stick catching! Chia aced the stick catching segment as she caught
the stick multiple times, and in-fact she put forth so much athletic effort that she ended up drinking some water
this is the first time I've seen one of my petz drink water haha.
Chia earned a 2.5/3 stick-catching score.





Conifer also had a big time galloping after the stick, and he actually had a silly trip once that I captured in a picture
he caught the stick, but not as many times or with the same degree as seriousness as his best friend Chia, so I'll
give him a 2/3.


Now it's time for flyball! Chia got real into flyball and turned into a maniac going on a hoop jumping spree xP
afterall, it is in her blood; both her father and grandmother have participated in flyball.



I tested them on two seperate occasions, Chia killed in twice and Conifer did pretty well the first time but was
too distracted by Chia the second. With some more training Conifer could advance to Chia's level.
Chia has earned a 3/3 and I'll give Conifer a 2/3 in flyball skill

I decided to return to the Petz Community and start doing the Photo A Day challenge by Rho with my baby
boy, Flax This is a May event, so I'm a little late to the party, but better late than never!

Meet Flax! Flax is a mini dalmatian mix who was born with Border Collie dali OW influence. He's the grandson of my first
naturally raised dog, Quail, and the sister of Chia!

Flax is the youngest member of my naturally raised family of sports dogz. Descended from my Athletic Auvaze bloodline,
one day he too will compete in the next Summer Olympics like his ancestors did! But for now, I'm going to get to know him
and encourage his athletic spirit. Flax is currently 43 on the brainslider, so he's not exactly a baby baby, but he would probably
be the equivalent of 6 months old in real life. <3

I'm just going to post more than one photo a day xP And maybe some bonus pictures and gifs...

Flax is jealous of the flowers. When I water them he bats the watering can out of my hand because he wants the flowers'
shower, hehe.

After he ate a big chunk of meat, I convinced him to settle down for a nap on the blue pillow <3

This pup is a fast learner, and I was able to train him to lie down and walk on two legs very quickly.
I tested his personality and found out he has 100 intelligence! My George, he's brilliant! And he displays an aptitude for
Frisbee catching. This little lad is a fantastic athlete prospect

Today I pulled a lot of toyz out of the toy closet to see if Flax has a particular favourite toy. However, the little lad had his eyes
preoccupied on a special little lady dog. Flax seems to have a crush on Whinnie, who is thankfully unrelated xP
Flax likes to pick on her by pushing her with his nose, but she never stays mad at him, haha.

After admiring their adorable blossoming friendship, I then remembered that Flax is a master at catching the frisbee! So
I took him out to the field, and he immediately trots to the Frisbee and attempts to bury it xD But he became distracted by
me when I snapped the picture of him digging a hole for it. Hehe.

Flax has an affinity for the Frisbee and is especially obsessed with it due to all the praise I've given him for his athletic
interest

Flax likes to run, and he had so much fun. He leapt and caught the ball of yarn, why he is a zesty little lad <3

Today I trained Flax to balance on a ball and perform some trickz with his big sister, Chia I actually managed to get a picture of them doing trickz at the same time together! Flax is a fun little guy, and I'm happy he likes being around his sister <3
