Im not new to posing and showing, but Ive only ever worked with horsez over at SS. So I need some advice of posing my dogz, mostly my chihuahuas. Im unclear, is the better pose one with aligned legs, or aligned toes? And no matter what I do it seems like my chihuahuas will only do one or the other, not both at the same time. For example, here is Creamsicle with her front toes perfectly aligned down to the pixel. But when her legs get aligned, the paws are not. Is this normal for chihuahuas?? Also, is this an acceptable pose for my Bichon, Marshmallow. Does this forum have a policy on showing breeds with fur over their eyes?? Any tips, hints, advice is greatly appreciated.

I can only give advice for the chi, as I'm lost when it comes to PKC type petz lol When posing dogz, most people will judge a dogz alignment by the back toes vs. the front legs. I don't think anyone tries to align front toes as far as I'm aware. It should be noted however, that some judges prefer to align the front legs over the rear toes; it's all down to what the judge prefers and he breed you're trying to pose LOL
Good luck!

I usually try to align the front wrists, so that means the back toes will be just a pixel or two off. Others like the back toes to line up perfectly but on some breeds that makes the front legs look funky. Plus if you show GSDs, you have to align by the front wrists.
I don't know anything about the Bichons really but that pose looks fine to me, the nose looks a tad weird though so if I was the judge I'd probably try to look up that breed to compare your pose to others of the same breed, just to see if that's normal for that breed. But without knowing that breed at all, it looks like the head might be turned a little too close to the camera, which is why I'd research to see if it really is or not.
As for the Chi, align the wrists or make the back toes line up, but also, you got the wrong breathing point too, the tail should be more curled and she should be standing taller.
