I've been using PetzA to do a little breeding project that I've tackled in the past way back when I first got Petz 3. I like trying to breed all the Adoption Centre breeds together so see what weird outcomes you can get. I've spent a chunk of this evening taking pictures of the offspring (all aged up to 100) and I thought I'd share them here so you can help me decide which Petz to take forward to the next generation.
I'll add pictures as I get them edited.
First up are the pupz of Join the Bulldog and Combine the Chihuahua. Girls names are in purple, boys are in green.
The first thing that Roll did when he came out through the door was a forward roll, perfect for his name! He's got a massive head and body, his eyes are like saucers and I'm really tempted to take him on to the next stage!
Spiral is the only one of the crew to have inherited the bulldog face, in fact he's quite bulldoggy all over. I was playing with him in the family room and the white mouse kept coming out and he wanted to chase it.
The bulldog body seems to dominate quite a bit in this litter because both girls have it with a Chihuahua shape head. Whirl is quite quiet. She spent a good time sitting in the family room watching the fire.
Circuit is quite small with a bulldog shape body in Chihuahua proportions. She really likes her food.
I think I would've gotten some more interesting variations here if I'd gone for a different coloured bulldog, both parents are sandy so I didn't get any coat variation. The boys appeal to me more than the girls so I'm thinking I'll carry at least one of them on to the next generation.
Next are a lovely little of Dalmatians (from mum Fuse) and Dachshunds (from dad Blend):
I was honestly expecting a lot more spots from this litter so I was surprised that Swirl was the only one to bring them forward. He's like a giant dachshund with dali colouring. I'm tempted to carry him on to the next generation but I'm going to use Fuse again to breed with my male poodle, Couple, to see if I can get anything more spotty there as well.
Wheel and Reel looked quite similar when they were born, hence the similar names. They're a similar size but Reel has a more dachshund shaped face. Wheel seems a little bit more nervous and took me several attempts to get a decent photo.
My absolute favourite from this litter has to be Flurry. Just look at her *swoon*. She's basically a Dalmatian body with a dachie's colouring. Her tail is a little shorter but other than that she's practically a dali. She's got a pass on to the next generation.
And as this football match is going on a little bit longer than anticipated I've got more time to make more litter pics, so here's another one.
This is a Golden Retriever/German Shepherd mix litter. The mum was Infuse, a GR, and dad was Incorporate, a GS:
When I spotted Coil I was surprised by the ear and eyebrow mutation. I have to say that shade of orangey-brown is probably my least favourite of the colour mutations, but I'm tempted to bring her on to the next stage to see whether she'll throw up any interesting colour mutations of her own. Even though that's not what I'm breeding for, it might be interesting.
I can't help but think that Curve would look a little bit prettier if her ears had a bit of contrast to them like her brother and sisters, but she's the only one to get the GR face so I guess that's why she's all one colour there. I like her markings, but her deep chest makes her legs look a little bit short.
Eddy looks like he's all GS. Seriously, is there any of his mum in there at all? He's a handsome fellow there and again, I'd be tempted to carry him forward because his body proportions seem better than Curve and Coil's.
Pirouette is probably my favourite of this litter. Like Eddy, she seems more in proportion. I don't think that the Retriever and Shepherds cross particularly well when it comes to bodies and legs. I like that she's almost all one colour with her GS ears and eyebrows. It's going to be a bit of a toss up to decide who's going to come forward for the next generation. I might have to do names out of a hat!
Epic football match of neverendingness has given me time to make yet another litter pic.
This one is of a lovely combination. Mum, Mingle, a Jack Russell, and dad, Stir, a Great Dane:
I love that Ripple is the only one who came out looking vaguely Jack Russell-ish. I think she's got a random Great Dane tail as well. She's quite excitable and it took me forever to get a decent photo of her. She's kind of fuzzy as well which just makes me want to take her to the salon and brush her, hehe.
Tide looks like a slightly scaled down Great Dane. I like that aside from Ripple they've all ended up pretty much white all over but with slight variations, like Tide's grey muzzle. She's got those beautiful dark eyes that contrast so well with her light coat as well.
If Tide is a slightly scaled down Great Dane, Trickle is even smaller. I'm planning on carrying him forward partly because of his size but also because he's not actually completely white. You can't see it in this picture but he's actually got a patch of Jack Russell colour under his chin. It's just a random patch and you can only see it when he turns his head up but it's a delightful little quirk.
Compared to Trickle, Vortex is a giant. He's only really about regular Great Dane size but when I have him out with his little brother he looks so much huger. He doesn't seem to have much of the Jack Russell about him. He's like a bigger version of Tide. I do like him for the white Dane look but if I have to pick, I think it'll be Trickle coming on with me.
