I'll be honest: I'm not especially fond of most of the base breeds in P5, but Alleys have a special place in my heart - as funny looking as they are, their attitude reminds me so much of a few of the cats I grew up with, and there's just something charming about their appearance. I used to play around a bit with breeding BM's Mutated Spots Alley file, but I didn't really get into showing or playing with it too heavily because I preferred more realistic files, and I didn't think I could handle more than one or two breeds at a time. I've changed my mind: I love Alleys, and want to breed them. So, today, I started a color-breeding project for Alleys. I used Petz A to speed up the process, and now I have nine fantastic gen 3 kittehs that I'm going to add to my cattery, and when they're old enough, breed them. They're not listed on my cattery page just yet, because I plan on moving it (I like webs, but ever since they limited pages to five, it's been a hassle trying to use them) So... meet the babies! Achilles (named after/based off of my IRL cat) Andromache Briseis Hector (littermate to Odysseus; the only two kittens I kept from the same litter, because they were so cute!) Iphis Odysseus (littermate to Hector) Patroclus Penelope Polyxena All of their litters will be available for public adoption, though I may keep a few POL (picks of the litter)

Awww. I'm not huge on Alley pures, but these guys are great! I love the dark ones. Andromache and Odysseus are my faves.

I actually just got three more really nice ones that I'll be uploading pictures of, soon. ^_^ That'll leave me with 6 breeding pairs, so hopefully that'll introduce some really nice colors! I'm also putting project extras under my downloads page - some of them are pretty dark, too. A few of them look like Odysseus, some with deep red markings instead of cream. =) Edit: And here are the new additions! Ajax Menelaus Helen

I haven't played around with BM's Mutated Spots Alley file but I did work with the original Ac files. Thank God for petza off and on for a number of years. I'd stop for long periods of time and then pick it up again. I think I am off again. But I still would like to do the mutating spots file sometime. Good luck! It can be really fun.

I think I've started something terrible: Now I'm doing Sheepdogs, too. Dx ...but they're turned out so cute! And so have a few of their mystery mix pups. Oh, and if you ever do pick up the mutating spots file, I'd be happy to give you a few kittens from some of my upcoming litters, now that I've finished that particular project and have six breeding pairs.

I'm not really a fan of Alleys but I like these, especially the darker ones and the very last one with the creamy coat.
Breeding projects are addictive!

This is a great project! Patroclus is my favorite for some reason, there's just something charming about his looks. Also, I love the ancient Greek theme
