Anyone watching/reading the E3 news coming out? I like just about all of the Nintendo games announced so far. Yoshi's Woolly World interests me and the new Zelda looks gorgeous. Curious how that open world feature is going to work for a Zelda game.
I need to catch up on the rest of the announcements. What is everyone else excited about?

^ So excited for the new zelda game! ^^ I'm also super stoked for The Sims 4, but I've been on that level for several months now

I'm excited beyond words about NO MAN'S SKY! Too bad it comes out on PS4 before the PC, but I'll wait. No Man's Sky trailer released yesterday at E3:www.youtube.com/watch?v=MZO40WBNA60^ I WANT THIS NOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!! I can't believe this game is a procedurally-generated open UNIVERSE!!! Give it to me! Now! Also waiting impatiently for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, which will hopefully become my new Skyrim Witcher 3, E3 trailer presentation (griffin hunt):www.youtube.com/watch?v=1aJDg8-jQWQ

What are everyone's thoughts about the Sims 4, which is about to be released this autumn (last I heard it was september 2nd?)
For me, I'm not sure if it'll be worth the money as I haven't really even played Sims 3 all that much and I bought that one the moment it was availablexD haha

I haven't played Sims 3 as much as I used to play 2, and I've spent too much money buying store items in the past few months... drives me crazy to think of all this money "wasted", and then have to start all over again :\ I want it though, but might have to wait until it's on a big sale much later on.

I never buy Sims games until they've been out for a while and they go on sale. Since there are so many expansion packs and everything it's just hard for me to justify paying that much on one game so I try to save money haha. For Sims 4, I'll probably wait until I've had all the Sims 3 expansions for a while especially because I go through on and off phases where I either play all the time or not at all...

I sim as often as I can, so for me, sims 4 is a huge excitement. I've been jazzed about it since the second I saw it was coming out! I loved what they did with 3 compared to 2, and if they continue along the same path, I can't imagine I will be disappointed with 4.

For me, the very best new features between Sims 2 and 3 was the ability to change all items colors and patterns, and the open neighborhoods where our Sims can walk freely. Aside from that, I sometimes still miss Sims 2. The one thing I really hate about Sims 3 is how the game focuses on a single household per neighorhood. I used to jump from one family to another almost every time I played, making them interact with each other and loving the variety of it -- I miss that a lot with Sims 3.
I haven't read much about Sims 4 yet, because I know I won't get it for a long time still. I do like the new Create-A-Sim features though -- it looks much easier to create unique Sims. But I hope babies/children will again look like a mix of their parents, because the "breeding" was a huge disappointment in Sims 3 for me.

I usually got kids who were a nice mix of their parents (including haircolor), I wonder why yours didn't as much. I actually had better breeding for mixing genes then I did in 2.
2 was better at giving ugly sims (massively ugly, if you've read the uglacies), although I still love aspects of that game as well. I'm actually attempting to get every single sims game ever made.

For instance, I bred a 1st gen black-haired father with a 1st gen blonde-haired mother, and the kid has brown hair and zero facial features from either of them! This is bugging me hugely with Sims 3. I actually loved my uglies from Sims 2 I would always get a complete mix of the parents, and they had very sharp features (as in, they didn't look like any other Sims I had).

For me, I'm not sure if it'll be worth the money as I haven't really even played Sims 3 all that much and I bought that one the moment it was availablexD haha That's the same quandary I have. I was a hardcore TS1 and TS2 player but Sims 3 just didn't quite click for me. I still enjoy it but various factors put me off a bit plus I'm still attached to my TS2 hoods. I do like the look of the new building tools but not sure if I want to go on another expansion pack merry-go-round. It is Sims though so hard to resist at least trying it out. I thought about buying the premium version as I like getting the extras but blimey £70! I remember thinking £45 was a lot for the TS3 collectors edition. (still bought it though. lol) Wow No Man's Sky looks gorgeous. It's like what Spore space stage could have been. I think I'll keep an eye on that one. Edited to add: Just noticed that Plants vs Zombies for the PC is currently Origin's free "On the House" game. I don't know if there are many people who don't own this by now but it's an awesome game, well worth the download. www.origin.com/en-gb/store/free-games/on-the-house

What the Spore space stage could have been! I hope they stay on course and deliver something that looks like what's advertised!

I loved the uglies too, that's part of ts2's charm. ^^ It's why I won't ever completely get rid of 2. Although I admit to getting some pretty ugly kids in 3 as well, but not near as ugly.
