I still have a lack of money at the moment for that. At least, I do if I want to pre-order Sims 4 and get FF13-3, which I do. It's just kind of my luck with SimCity, eventually I'll get it.

Just so you guys know: Our Target had all Sims 3 games marked down in price (or almost all) and then all of them were buy 1, get 1 half off.

I'm up to a couple hundred population on Banished and I can't stop. But sadly I have another contract so I'll have to put it on hold for a bit. I keep yoyoing from just barely enough food to survive til the next spring, to too much food I don't have enough storage for it all. Argh I can't actually get more than 60 population without them eating all the food. At around 30 we are all happy have plenty of food but then suddenly they gobble it all up. Very frustrating game!

I'm up to 400+ now. xD
It helps to get the Town Hall cause it shows you how much food you're making, and how much you're using. It also gets nomads to come live in your village. One time I got 65 just coming in. So for that year they really boosted stuff. (Until I needed more farms to feed them)
Just having the Town Hall the game is much easier food wise.

Anybody playing Hearthstone? It's a free-to-play card game very similar to Magic the Gathering. I just started playing it because everybody's raving about it. It's actually very good, and we can really play for free without spending a dime of real money. I think I like it even better than Magic -- it's quicker and a bit simpler to get into and play (decks are smaller, with only 30 cards max, so games are sometimes as quick as 5-10 minutes. I like that). I'm still doing practice runs in "normal" mode with the AI. I haven't unlocked all the heroes yet, or tried to play with another human player yet (well, except with my boyfriend, who may or may not have let me win, haha).

I've played a bit. I was in the beta but didn't get into it too much but came back to earn the WoW mount. I'm not great at deck building and struggled against a couple of the AI characters until I found a basic deck build for someone who is just starting and had levelled their mage to level 10 I think. There are websites like www.hearthpwn.com/ that have various deck builds although I haven't delved into them much yet. I've played quite a few games against other people now. Sometimes I do well, sometimes not so much but because the games are quick and there is no chat trash talk it's fun to play a quick few rounds. I'm trying to get used to playing as the other types now. One of the daily quests wanted me to play as a warrior so I've been trying that. It feels very different to playing a mage, not sure that I like it. I do want to give it a chance before I move onto the other types though.

^ I tried to build a custom Mage deck (focused on Taunt and Charge) and, so far, it was a disaster I'll go look at the site you mentioned for help about deck building. With a 30-card deck, it seems every single card chosen matters a great deal. I haven't tried the other classes yet, but I think I might like the well-rounded Paladin, and maybe the Hunter. I've never been all that great at Magic -- I have it on Steam and never play. I like how Hearthstone plays quicker though.

I have one of the older versions of Magic. It had some weird bug that happened on your second match, I can't remember what it was now but you had to restart the game to get rid of it so I stopped playing and haven't picked it back up. I focused on taunt because of the tutorial but the Mage deck build I use has no taunt cards which freaked me out a bit at first but it's not too bad. I can't find the web page that I copied it from but here is what I'm using. I think you have to be level 10 to have unlocked them all but they are all basic cards, no rares. Arcane missles x2 Frostbolt x2 Acidic Swamp Ooze x2 Bloodfen Raptor x2 Arcane Intellect x2 Razorfen Hunter x2 Shattered Sun Cleric x2 Fireball x2 Polymorph x2 Chillwind Yeti x2 Water Elemental x2 Frostwolf Warlord x2 Gurubashi Berserker x2 Boulderfist Orgre x2 Flamestrike x2 It's particularly fun to polymorph someone's high health card and then flamestrike the lot on your next go. Especially when they have a small army of minions that looks intimidating until I wipe out the lot with one card. Of course you have to survive long enough to use it but fun when you can.

Haha, I love Polymorph! Baaaah! ;D
I haven't unlocked all the cards for the Mage yet, but working on it (just unlocked the Hunter tonight, which I'll work on next).
I'm kind of addicted to Taunt -- that'll be a challenge to play without it if I try (and I love Charge, too... taunt and charge taunt and charge! lol) But I'm going to try that deck!

Did anyone play Thief yet? I'm very curious to hear what other people think of it. (No spoilers please, I have not played yet.) I finally got around to playing and I find it pretty cool. There's things that might not make sense unless you played the older ones. But I don't think it'd really cripple your game play. There's some writing that explains a few things too. (I only mention this cause my wife didn't play the old ones and she kept asking questions while I played) I'm not very far so I can't really comment on story line or anything. From where I am (Just a few hours in) it's at least keeping me interested. I'm playing on normal and I find it really easy though, so I wish I had picked hard. So overall I like it and I think it's worth a try. No complaints yet.

HOENN CONFIRMED! Pokémon Ruby & Sapphire remakes are coming this November! Who's excited? I don't know if I am haha. I thought RSE were nice (replayed them a lot), and I loved XY (only played through once and it was an instant favourite, but it instantly got boring after the league), so having RSE upgraded to XY level in terms of graphics and gameplay and everything should be awesome. I guess I'm just not feeling it yet because I'm not ~ready for a new game yet! Still way too busy with Animal Crossing at the moment to let a new game into my life, haha.

^ I'm beyond happy for that, allows me a chance to pick up some of the legendaries I'm missing..without having to transfer from my GBA game up.
I also just finished my collection of the FF13 games and am playing Lightning Returns. ^^ It's been my favorite Final Fantasy realm so far.

^^ I know I'm excited for OmegeRuby and AlphaSaphire. Saphire was the first Pokemon game I owned (after my brothers got tired of it that is), so it will be nice to be able to play with all of my old favorites again.
Also, has anyone ever heard of Haven and Hearth, or SalemMMO? They are both online permadeath survival games that I've been playing for the past few months and they are really fun. I've only died once so far, the most shameful way to die by drowning lol. The community isn't really the best (some of the stronger players don't like newbies), so hermitting is probably the best for new players. SalemMMO is more accepting of new players since it just had an update this year that reset all of the profiles, so now everyone has to start from scratch. I'm not sure if some parts are appropriate enough for RKC, so I will edit this post if the need arises.
