I registered for the forum about a week ago and haven't received an email saying I was accepted. If (for whatever reason) my registration was denied, would I receive an email about that?
The whole login process is slightly confusing, but I think I'm doing everything right. Thanks for any help!

Most likely Ratqueen just hasn't had enough time to approve your account. She can be very busy If she did deny you, you would get an email stating why. Not getting this shows she most likely just hasn't had the time, or that the registration process never went through. On other forums, it can glitch every once in a while. I haven't seen it happen here, though, so I wouldn't worry about that. Maybe you can post the username you registered under so she can see if she got the email for you? Sometimes she'll ask for that if she can't find your specific account I hope I helped a little bit, and you can join us here on RKC!

I don't currently have any pending accounts.
And actually, since ProBoards upgraded to version 5, I no longer have the option to send an explanatory note along with an account denial (I think ProBoards just sends a default automated message? Not sure).
Also, is it possible that you only registered a ProBoards Gloabal Account so far? I know it can be a bit confusing the way they do it now: every member has a main ProBoards Global Account, and then a separate account for each forum they join, all linked up to their main Global Account. So basically, an account has to be created from RKC, and then it can be linked to your main Global Account.
I do need the account name you registered with in order to see if I can find it, or whether I denied it.

Ahh, the account name would be SeerowsKindness. And I'm preeety sure I registered it. I already had a ProBoards account and I went through another registration process that seemed like it was for this forum. I'll mess around with it again and see if I can get it to work.

Ok, I found it now. I'm sorry, but I denied your account because we no longer accept memberships from any business or public locations.

Oh, okay. So does that mean I should try re-registering from a different IP address?

Do you have internet/wifi at home that you can register from? That would be the best place to do it. I'm not sure of what other places are allowed, just that schools/libraries where many people can get on from aren't permitted to register from.
If you don't have wifi, maybe there's a neighbor who is kind enough to let you use their private wifi?

Sorry to be such a bother... So I tried re-registering again and it looks like the account creation got denied again. Ratqueen, is there anything I can change about what I'm doing? Thanks!

^ Oops, I made a mistake here, sorry! I mistakingly denied your account because you're registering from a foreign country and we require people who are not anglophone to post in the guest board and show they can speak and understand English fluently (which has already been done here). I didn't recognized your name at the time.
Keep in mind that if you post here from a corporate/public IP after you've become a member, I will have to disable your account.
Please recreate your account yet again and I will approve it this time. Again, sorry about that :S

Okay, thanks! The registration page keeps redirecting me for whatever reason, but I'll try it again in a bit.
Just to clarify, internet cafes are probably out for that public IP address thing, right?

^ Yes, internet cafes are definitely out, sorry. It must be a private location, and preferably your own -- as in, where you live.

Yeah, after this week I'm probably not going to have internet at home anymore. :/ Ah well. Thanks for the help!
