Hey dere! I'm Krexxa, and I joined a while back under a different account. But you see, when you change laptops you can loose usernames, passwords, emails, etc. So I was forced to created a new account.
Well, here's a bit about me in real life.
My name is Rebecca, and I'm 14 1/2 years old as of this current date, and I'm going into 9th grade (first year of high school). I am obsessed with cats and anything that moves. Seriously. I like to draw, read, write, sing, dance, play my viola... I love all of the arts! I live in Reynoldsburg, Ohio with my parents, Sarah and Kerry, and my sister Rachel.
I have five cats, eight gerbils, two frogs, and one gecko. Quite a lot of pets, huh?
I had two cats, Midnight and Spice, to start. Midnight was found being shot with a BB gun out in the countryside of Ohio with her brother, Chip. My friend (and neighbor)'s sister found them, and took them from the boys. Needless to say, our previous two cats had to be put down a while back, so we instantly said yes. I remember walking inside to see a litterbox out, and everyone was crowded around the kitchen. I asked my dad why it was out, and he stepped aside, pointing into the kitchen. I stepped over, and there was a little black kitten sitting there, drinking milk out of a small, yellow plastic bowl. She was perfect. There was a little white spot on her neck, so I decided to name her Midnight, since it looked like a full moon in a night sky. At first I was scared of her, but we soon grew to be best friends.
Spice, on the other hand, has no real backstory. I just came home from school to see my neighbor sitting on our back porch with a kitten in her arms. My parents had agreed to let us keep her if we wanted to. Me and my sister instantly agreed.
They were happy with us for along time, and still are today. One night, a thin tabby came over to our house. She was clearly starving, so I went inside and brought out some spare cat food. It was gone in a flash. She kept coming back night after night to be fed, and I even could play with her a little. One night she came while me and my sister were camping out in our back yard, reading a book. We decided to name her Laurel, just like one of the words in the title. Unfortunately we had to go on vacation, so we had someone feeding her for us. When we got back, she was huge. We kept feeding her, at exactly 9 very night. But one night she never came. I worried, thinking she was having kittens. My parents said she was probably just bloated, but I knew they were wrong. The next night, she came again, thin as a stick. I had known I was right. A day later, we followed her. We found her and seven kittens, who were only three days old, in a shed. We put the kittens in a box, and took them home. Miraculously, she followed us inside. We shut the door, and she hasn't left since.
We named her kittens Emmie, Jae-Jae, Licorice, Dragon, Ash, Mystic, and Rune. Emmie and Jae-Jae were like Midnight, while Licorice was pure black. Dragon was the only one like his mother, a bronze tabby, while Mystic and Rune were silver tabbies. Ash was gray with a white paw, belly spot, and spot on his chest. We gave all but Mystic and Dragon away, as my sister wanted to keep Dragon and I wanted Mystic. Dragon is our only boy kitty.
Rest assured that they are all spayed/neutered!
I wanted to get a gerbil, and so did my sister, so we eventually convinced our parents to let us get one each. We picked ours, and named them. Mine was called Twix, while my sister's was Dr. Oreo Bones, Dr. Bones for short. Twix was a tannish agouti, while Dr. Bones was black and white. We got them in the temporary cardboard boxes to take them home, and Dr. Bones chewed the bottom out very quickly. We had to stack them on top of each other to keep him from getting out xD
We got home, and everything was all good. But Dr. Bones decided to try and mate with Twix... A big no no. My parents, however, thought it would be alright, since they were just the same gender and were showing dominance. Let's just say that sometime before Halloween, there were itty bitty squeaks. Six of them. Most were like Dr. Bones, while one was orangish tan and another black with a white paw and a streak from it's chin o it's chest. I named the orange one, who was pink and hairless at the time, Strawberry. Then the black one, who was the runt and was no bigger than a large bean, was named Bean by my sister. The two boys, who looked like their dad, were named Arrow and Antonio. Arrow after the Arrow (like Aang in the Avatar series) had an arrow on his forehead. And Antonio had an A shape on his back. My sister picked the name, but it resembled a guy I liked (and still like) named Anthony. I love that choice. The other two girls were named Fern and Eiffel, Fern because I just like that name. She had black spots on her white area on her back, and it wrapped all the way around her heck, too. Eiffel had the Eiffel Tower on her back.
After the incident, we separated males into one cage and females into another to prevent any further mishappenings.
Pip is out leopard gecko my sister got. He's cute, and nocturnal. Not much to say about him.
We have two African dwarf frogs, Flint and Marvin, who are also my sister's. We used to have another named Tally but she died. Anywho, Flint and Marvin are really smart. They live underwater, but come up to breath. And if they get hungry, they'll dig at the glass by where their food is put every night to tell you to put more in, even if it isn't feeding time xD
In their tank used to be some guppies, but they all died a few months after I got them. And so I got more, but they died too.
These things are supposed to be hard to kill, easier to care for than goldfish. So what the ---- did I do wrong? The fish and frogs were together in one tank at the pet store... We made the pH perfect, same with temp... We let their original bag float in the new tank so they could get used to the nice temp, and we didn't put the old bag water in with them. Everything you're supposed to do! WORLD, COME ON!
The universe seems to hate me. ;-;
Dat's all I have for now. Bye then.
