So I have my own site and would like to make my downloads available through there. I originally uploaded them to rapishare and got deleted off after a month or so... is there a free hosting site that I can upload/link my files to? I tried uploading them to webs.com, and i can't find the files/they don't show up in my editing interface. I use HTML exclusively

when i get my domain renewed i can probably host them for you as long as it isn't HEAPS of stuff c: like a few pet files etc. w/e that's fine.
but you might need to look for temp. hosting while i sort it out if you're interested.!
on that note i have no idea where else xD

I use freewebs, and if you title the link as the page of the file, you can use webs to host them. So for example - say your file is in a folder called "downloads" your link would be something along the lines of " WEBSITENAME.webs.com/downloads/ toy. FILEEXTENTIONMaybe try that? and "toy" and "file exention" would be replaced with the name of the you're trying to upload and the file extension would be replaced with the type of file it is. For example, this is what I have on my website where I have my maine coon file up for download. (my website is thepetzrus.webs.com if you wanted to see the page. It's under downloads > breeds) Download Unibreed OW File
It may take some figuring out if you have spaces in your file name - like mine has the %20 in between maine and coon. I think I found it by starting to type in the file name in the web browser and then seeing what URL's came up, baha. Alternatively, just upload files without spaces in their name? Of course, you can always find another place to upload your files, but I figured I'd just share how I do it. Good luck!

I try to offer everything as a .zip file since they download faster and you can make the filename of the zip whatever you want, but the item(s) within remain the same. My silverfrost brindle textures are all silvbrin00 with 00 being numbers, but the zip is silvbrinv1.zip and silvbrin2.zip I place them in a /downloads/ folder on my server space, and link them thus: Silverfrost Brindles V1
