I'm trying to figure out the proper HTML for this layout: I want to put the navbar/haeader/content box on TOP of the repeating background image. How can I do this? Also, any ideas on how I can make the black border to the white content box and navbar? *REWARD-Litter of your choice out of ANY of my dogs www.freewebs.com/shepherdspridekennel

I'm not sure how advance you are with HTML/CSS, so I'll pretend you know little to prevent confusion. (Or to help those who do know little) The boxes are on top by default. You'd just need to give each div a background. www.lissaexplains.com/css3.shtmlThird one down should be a basic of what you want. Black border would just be changing the border width. So, in Lissa's coding, You can compare. I changed the top CSS part. margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; Makes it so that div is centered. border-style:solid; border-width:15px; This is the border around the divs that you wanted. You can change the size and type of border it is. Now you can add; background-color:#FFFFFF; To each div CSS to give it the "on top" look. (Above the repeat background. So, center would need to be changed to; #center { width: 600px; height: 600px; margin-top: 20px; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; border-style:solid; border-width:15px; background-color:#FFFFFF; } Same with the left div. And last, for your background you'd add; background-image: url('backgroundimage.png'); In the body CSS. So it would now be; body { margin-top: 0; margin-bottom: 0; margin-left: 0; margin-right: 0; padding-left: 0; padding-right: 0; background-image: url('backgroundimage.png'); } There's many other ways to do this, this is just the basic. I think that's what you were looking for?

Thanks so much Midnightwolf =) I got blocked from RKC last night/today because of a glitch, so I spent all night/day figuring this out myself. I ended up using lissaexplainsitall and CSS and pretty much everything you just posted. I sure wish I would have been able to see your post sooner. It would have saved me a lot of headache XD
Anyways, the site is all coded now. Thanks! Can I breed a litter for you, as a thank you? If so, from who and what is your e-mail address?
