I know not many people play petz 5 etc and im planning on finding my petz 4 game and set up my own breeding service and breed a few couples of my own.
I was wonder what do people look for when adopting a cat or a dog? Do you mind extra breefiles like tabster, houla, koolie or shepdane? etc?

I won't adopt if external/OW files are used or needed.
I think everyone's preferences are different, but regarding dogs it's pretty much a given that you can't go wrong with a chest patch + face streak -- especially doubles. <3 Mutt markings, sheepie tails/feet/halfie markings, swapped ears (like Chi or poodlee), etc. Dogs are more general than cats, I think.
Now for me personally (regarding catz) I like chest patches, face streaks (but not as much as chest patches xD), gypsy markings, and meezer points. Also, giant poof tails. x)
I'm scatter-brained today, so tell me if I didn't make any sense. ^^;;

I don't like OWs. I like catz more than dogz. For catz, I like fluffy tails and good proportions. I'm not picky. I love russian blues and calicoes. I also love orange shorthairs and huge tabby eyes x3 For dogs, I adore bulldogs. I know most people like fuzzy scottie/poodle coats instead of smooth mutt/Dalmatian coats, but I love both. Non dali mixies with a dali body are a no-no for most people. Most people don't like anything unproportional. Not all, but most. The hexing programs most people use are LNZ Pro and Petz Workshop. You can find them at sherlock software. sherlocksoftware.org/page.php?id=4I recommend these two highly. If you don't/can't use these, you can use reshacker. However, the file tends to corrupt a lot more than it would if you were using LNZ pro. I know a few people still use this but most use LNZ pro. I don't have a link for you though xP

I don't mind if they are base game originals, OWs, P5 breeds converted to P4 (I really wish people would use those more) or external breeds. I like the extra randomness and features these breed files add to a litter and I like the fact that these litters sort of showcase some of the awesome breeds that are available out there.
I'm not really clued up on breeding like a lot of the community is so litters that people seem to jump on straight away like no cali spots or chest patches don't really register with me in a valuable sense unless I just happen to like the way that the pet looks.
I like funny combos like poofy cat feet on skinny legs. Odd coloured ears, feet, patches/spots although I personally dislike it when a cat's jowls are two different colours. Not in every case; it depends on the colour combo. Poodle ears on just about anything. I prefer fuzzy over smooth coat.
