So, ahem, the site is finally going to be coming back. It died sometime in 2009/2010 and makes me sad so I'm slowly working to bring it back to life. But, first, I need some advice on certain aspects. 1. Petz VersionRight now it's limited to P3/4 petz and I don't think that will be a problem because there are a lot of other rescues that cater to P5 as well. It's also limited to no external files, again so everybody can adopt. Should I make it P3/4/5 and still limit external files? 2. Type of PetzIn the past I've had some petz hexed and that worked pretty well as they were usually the most popular but then the bred petz were kind of left behind. I don't know if I want to limit it to hexed petz or not. Or should I just stick to bred petz? 3. Screening ProcessI've never found a very good way of screening adopters. I could try a questionnaire but I'd love any advice with that.
That's all for now but I'll probably add more if any issues are brought up, haha. Seriously though, I have a layout set up & everything. So I'm ready as soon as I figure out this stuff and find some petz to put up

Petz 3/4 is a given, everyone can adopt and it's lovely. I'd start off with bred petz and introduce hexed petz on special occasions or something? -shrug-

Yeah, that's what I figured. I can't imagine getting a lot of hexed petz (previously I had people hex some for me to adopt out) so special occassions would probably work best. Maybe like, the anniversary of the rescue or something like that.
I know two other rescues that take in petz for P5 so that's why right now I'm set on sticking to P3/4 because, in my experience, P5 petz don't get adopted as fast or even at all.

I saw someone who had a fun method of application for potential adopter...they typed up more personal questions like " what are your top 3 favorite petz and why," or " tell me a funny story about _____". I liked it because it was something new and showed rag applicant in a different light, and it could be as simple or hard as you make it, as well as being able to add it or subtract it from a normal Why/Plans section...i thought it got a better picture of who you were "talking" to instead of the usual OmG novel about " the most gorgeous petz ever" just a thought you can take in a million different ways to tweak your screening process
