So, here's the deal.
I managed to score a download to CrossOver 8 a while back, and I've used it since for a couple of other Windows-based games. I haven't been into petz very much for a while, but I found a picture of one of my beloved petz, Trouble, and it's made me want to try to install petz again -- this time on my MacBook Pro. I figured since I had CrossOver it would work, just like any other Windows game. It installed fine, it looked exactly like the normal petz setup. When I ran the game, however, the loading screen popped up -- and it stopped loading when the loading bar got to the very end. :/
See? It's just.. not loading. Is there any way I can fix this without having to buy some other program for my Mac? I know I can use BootCamp to install Windows, but I don't really want to have to do that. Thanks to anyone who can help me out with this!

I play all my games on a Mac using bootcamp/parallels and it works phenomenally:) but this doesn't look like a mac problem, it looks like a game problem. I get that problem when ii download an extra toy or file that is corrupted. If you remove the / resource file and try to load it again, does it load all the way? I know there are two original toys I've never gotten to workon my Mac for some reason:(

Go to finder....search folders for "petz 5". I don't play it on the Mac side, but I'm assuming it works similarly to windows, just Mac hides files better

..I don't know if it's even installing properly or what, because I've tried searching for "petz 5", "petz", everything and I can't seem to find any actual data files -- just the actual program and stuff. :/
Edit- Nevermind, I finally got it installed properly. I tried taking out the Toyz folder but it still won't fully load..?

You may have to take out the entire resource folder. It culdl be a corrupt .dog, .pet, or .clo file just tank the whole thing out and replace folder by folder until it won't load anymore

I would PM Brynn. I think she's busy with school, but if anyone can fix a computer problem it's her! She also has a lot of stuff on computer problems pinned on [this] board I belive; you should try reading through that.

*On Windows* I know that resetting the registry will often fix this problem... (holding ctrl+shift while opening the game), however I am not sure this will work with the CrossOver program. I have BootCamp and XP Home installed on my iMac. Therefore I am still using Windows of course.
