Everyone keeps telling me how easy and simple PWS is so I feel very silly having to ask for help The program itself is very easy. its visual which works great for me,,, however, my problem lies with getting my pet into my game. Once I save my pet and try to take one out of the adoption center, the only thing that is changed on it is the eyes. The coats are still the original colourings. This has happened to me on multiple occasions. What am I doing wrong i have watched the tutorial on Sherlock multiple times and even did mine on my PWS at the exact same time following everything EXACT ( i think) and it STILL doesn't work. When I do it this way I get NO changes to the petz in my game. Someone else told me not to do the variations part so I tried just saving it and getting the dog out, well this is where only the eyes change.... cool if I just want a different eye colour, but for overall hexing... a total fail I would love any help. I want to start hexing but just cant figure this out. Thank you to anyone who tries to help me out

This happens to me, too. There's actually a thread up about this on PCG... I can link you to it later, I'm on my phone right now.
What OS do you use?

Operating system.
Are you collapsing all variations before you make your edits? And then saving? Otherwise your edits will not show up. Be warned though, if you use this method you will mess up breed files from other sources (downloads, PKC, that sort of thing).
If you're using Vista or Windows 7, chances are you're editing the 'wrong' file. Go to the thread in my signature (Weird things) and follow the steps to locate your 'hidden' files, and then when you want to edit a breed file use those files as opposed to the ones in your C:\ drive.

If you download a breedfile from the internet that is NOT an original file from the game and edit it in PWS by 'Collapsing Variations', there is a possibility of the file suddenly going wonky. It's hard to describe--basically, the parts of the pet will suddenly move out of position, messing up the pet. This then becomes a permanent part of the pet.

But if I use original breeds only, it should be okay?
