I browsed around to see if this was answered elsewhere, didn't see it though so I thought I'd ask. If there's another thread about this I'd love to be pointed in that direction (:
I brought my catz 5 disc to school with me, but my macbook doesn't seem to want to install it. Anyone know of any way to get catz to work on a macbook? It'd be a nice cure for the whole can't-have-cats-in-dorms problem I've got going on.

Petz isn't Mac-compatible.
You could probably use a program like CrossOver, however -- I haven't tried it since I'm not into Petz right now, but I'm sure it would probably work.

Yeah in order to get Petz to work on a mac you need a special program that runs windows programs. They can be pretty pricey though. I don't know much more than that since I use a PC. Hopefully Brynn will read this, I know she could point you in the right direction!

*shwooms in* WHO SAID MY NAME. SOMEONE DID. You need to have either Parallels or VMWare. The issue is that the Mac, to put it simply, doesn't know what to do with .exe files, the traditional file type for installing a program. Conversely, a Windows machine wouldn't know the first thing about .app files. You're trying to get your Mac to order a sub from Digiorno's while speaking Japanese, which they've never learned properly. It's kinda messy. But yes, either Parallels or VMWare will do what you're looking for. I would recommend Parallels, since that's what most people use, but you're welcome to make the decision on your own. Let me know if you have any more questions!

There is a free program that will run windows which is virtual box or sun box. It's what I used until I got VMware fusion. It's not as versatile as VMware but it gets the job done. VMware costs $60 dollars Canadian, and Parallels is it's predecessor. You'll need a copy of windows though. ^^

I have an iMac, and I did something a bit different. I split my hard drive with a program called Bootcamp, and installed XP on one half. I have both Windows and Tiger working on one computer, so I can use all of my programs. It did cost quite a bit though. I had to buy XP to install it. Glad I did though... best of both worlds.

Ah, thanks Sue, Bootcamp was the other one I was thinking of. Bootcamp is good too.

I was going to suggest Parallels (or what's it called? Leopard or something?)
Personally though I hate Macs, lol :[ I have to use them at Uni too and they make for many a rage-ridden afternoon.

Leopard's one of the OS versions. Macs are silly, I'll agree, but I do like them for certain things.
