It's Emily, some of you might remember me but some won't. I used to be apart of RKC but school got in the way, my game crashed, and had a couple family issues. I feel bad just popping back up out of no where and asking a question, but I hope most of you forgive me, because I want to be more active here again. I received Pet5, Dogz 5, Catz 5, Dogz 4, and Catz 4 for an early Christmas present. The thing is... My laptop has Windows Vista and it is being such a pain! I've tried downloading Petz5 but it asks "Do you want to completely remove the selected application and all of its components?" I click OK. Then "Would you like to save to C:\SavedPetz?" I click No, I was told to save it to Documents for Windows Vista. Then it says "Generating list of files to delete..." After that it takes FOREVER and usually freezes when finding files to delete. Now for Catz 4... I run it and it downloads fine but when I take a cat out from the adoption center it moves, really fast, and when I try to adopt one it freezes. I haven't tried any others, and thanks in advance!

You need to download PetzA to patch Petz 4. You can find it here- www.sherlocksoftware.org/No idea about P5. However, I installed my games into a folder directly on the C drive and have no problems.

Thank you for the help, but when Petz A was downloaded and connected to Petz4 a message popped up saying it wasn't compatible with the petz version. It loaded like normal but the still when I take a pet out of the AC it runs fast and when I try to adopt a pet the game freezes. I tried re-downloading it into the C drive but it doesn't change anything.

You can change how fast the petz run through PetzA too=] I had that problem at first too...it has to do with the speed you have the game at. Look through PetzA and you'll find where you can change it. You should set the slider to 50. Maybe try downloading an older or newer version of PetzA (depends which one you used the first time) sometimes the Petz4 download needs another version of that program to work right.

I downloaded another version of PetzA and the game speed was set at 50 already so I changed it to 68 and it seems to be working! I adopted a pet and nothing has gone wrong so far. Thank you so much, i've been trying everything and I was having the feeling it would never work. Thank you tons! I'm gonna try to download Dogz 4 now :3
