I am revising my showing form and I've come up with some cool ways to do actual in game contests with pets. Contests include: Schutzhund Hunting / Field Trials Earthdog Tracking Agility Racing Flyball Herding Frisbee Pets are judged on how well they perform each task, some tasks are timed. Pets will be judged on a few other things too but I don't want to go into detail here. I want to incorporate this into my current showing forum replacing picture shows with these, or perhaps even offering both. Since I would be the one holding the contests and such, no copies would be kept of anyone's pets and they would return home safely to you. I am the owner of Duke's Group and we do this sort of thing all the time, it has so far worked out wonderfully and we've been doing it for a few years now. Any thoughts on this? Please vote your opinion, I think it is a GREAT way to get sporting titles on a pet, to actually send them off to a trial and have them actually EARN their points! Instead of basing it all off of a picture. I've been testing all of these contests out and they work actually quite smoothly and are fun to do. Results are posted quickly and an I also post an overall on how the pet did on each pet, along with what the pet could use some practice on. Thanks to anyone that votes! I hope I get a lot of 'Yes' because I REALLY want to do this to my forum and hold a lot of contests! If you vote no or maybe, please post below on why. Feel free to post below even if you vote yes Thanks!

I voted "maybe," since although I've always thought this kind of thing would be really fun, I have no idea how I would get started training and such and I can't seem to find any guides/tutorials.
So, if you could offer maybe explanations of what to do for each of those contests, and maybe tips on how to get started/how to train, that "maybe" would most definitely turn into a "yes!"

Thanks for your input Rina! There will definitely be a detailed explanation of how I judge and I will probably make a few training type guides as well to help you train your dogs Good news is, even if you don't train your dog, they still have a chance of doing well. Though a trained and worked with dog usually does a lot better. Again I will certainly be doing some training type stuff

This should actually be in Petz Talk I believe, since polls in the Poll section shouldn't be personal. Moving!

I voted no. Not that I don't trust anyone to keep copies of petz, tho that thought does kinda scare me, I just don't see myself personally being interested in this kind of show. Just an honest opinion. If there was a more detailed explanation (which I know you plan on doing) and I read through it, that might change my mind. But for now it just doesn't spark my interest. Thanks!
