So, today I decided to try and recolor some of the petz 5 clothes, I edited them in Gimp, and imported them back into Tinker (because it was seemed like a good choice xD ), ran petz 5 and my recolored glasses didn't work.
Am I using the wrong program (Tinker) or is it that you can't recolor clothes at all?

*really old-school way*
I always made my clothes with external .bmp files in Hex Workshop by changing the clothes texture to match mine in the texture list. Of course I had to first create the new item by changing the offset number and renaming it, then I made sure my .bmp file was the correct size and saved in 256 colors. Then placed the .bmp file in resource/clothes.

I'll try that, thanks! But I can't believe how simple you made it sound...
