I'm just returning to the realm of petz, and was installing it on my new netbook. Its running Windows XP. Got around the sound bugs no problem but i got a strange bug that ive not come across before so wondered if someone on here could help me out >< Would really like to get this fixed tonight as im going on holiday tomorrow and wanted to play around with petz on the plane to pass the time!

Did you install it in Program Files? Install it in My Documents instead.
Either that or your resolution is too large and you might have to shrink it.
But is your netbook Windows XP or are you running it in Compatibility for XP?

My netbook is Windows XP, its an Eee Pc Seashell with Nvidea Ion graphics card, so it should run up direct x 10 graphics nevermind 8.1 thats required. I'll try uninstalling and reinstalling it.

I Think you have to lower the screen resolution I had the same problem

Yeah that seems to fix it, annoying that i have to shrink the resolution to make it work though

Do you have Petz A? If not I would recommend downloading it, sometimes it fixes problems like this one.

Just make sure to try the resolution by increments. On my laptop, I can't run it on like.. whatever by 1366 but I can run it on the resolution that is whatever by 1360. The difference isn't even visible on my screen, but don't just turn it to the lowest to run it if you don't have to.

What they said. I had the same problem and reduced my resolution a tad and now it runs fine ;D
