I was wondering, can any breed of cat learn tricks eventually? I have a cat who's part siamese and he just won't do tricks but I wanted to know if there was a chance after a few tries if he would start doing some.
Thanks!

I think any breed can, but it would ultimately depend on the cat. Alley Catz are usually pretty good, so are Tabbies, but I'm pretty sure that any breed can do it. I might be wrong, but yeah, some are more willing than others.

Catz who are reluctant to do tricks and would rather stalk the treat than do tricks probably won't ever change.

the ability of catz to do tricks is sort of like a gene. Some catz from the adoption center will do tricks and some won't. Different breeds have different percentages of individuals that do tricks. I don't know the exact numbers, but maybe something like 50% of tabbies that come out of the AC will do tricks, while say only 10% of oshies coming out of the AC will do tricks. That "gene" gets passed down to their kids.
If you wiggle the treat and your kitty stalks the treat instead of being interested in doing a trick, that means he doesn't have the gene and will never do tricks!

I know that calicoes tend to do tricks more often than others do if that's any comfort.
