Ok I'm still very new on the PKC so I was wondering what does retired mean. I mean I know it seems obvious but does it just mean that they can't be entered in shows anymore or that they can't also breed? I'm asking this because one of my dogs just took BIS and she soon will be retired from showing there and I've been looking for a mate for her and I found one that I really like but he's retired so I didn't want to PM his owner before I know exactly what retired means...plus I didn't want to look too dumb hehe. If anyone could answer this little question for me I'd greatly appreciate it.

Retired means the pet has champed (or you are no longer showing it for whatever reason), some people on PKC (myself included) retire their petz when they champ then breed litters if they wish (obviously breeding is not required that's up to you ). Note: once you retire a pet you no longer show it. Hope that helps, and congrats on your BIS win .
