I was wondering if anyone knew how to get rid of the annoying music that plays incessantly when a pet is born in P4, or a pet reaches age 100 and is declared totally happy in P5. Can I just find the file in the games somewhere and replace them with a mute sound file or something? It's starting to drive me crazy!

I know the feeling! When I'm working on breeding projects the music is so irritataing and in your face. I always put the computer on mute when doing breeding projects just becuase of the I, like you find it annoying. You could always try the same. I guess you dont hear anything else then but i dont mind that so much.

I'm pretty sure the game would crash if you removed the song file, if you could find it.
But I would just mute the game if you have a lot of petz to breed. Makes it easier.

I'm with Vanilla, I like the music! I think it would be kind of boring without it. xD

It's actually quite easy to change around the sounds and such in your game. I did it for the camera, because the sound it makes is so annoying when I'm having to take nine gazillion picture of a dog that refuses to give me a decent pose, haha. I've only done this in Petz 4, but I'd assume the process for P5 would be pretty much the same. Things you will need for this tutorial: - LNZPro - A blank .wav file (I just recorded one in the default sound recorder program that came with Windows) - A copy of your Petz 4 Snd.dll (just in case something goes wrong!) First, open LNZPro, click "Open" in the file menu, and go to Petz 4\Resource. Select "All files". This lets you see the .dll files, which is what we will be editing. Open up "Petz 4 Snd.dll". Click the menu tree "WAV" on the left. This will show a list of all the sounds in the game. Simply find the one you wish to replace, in this case "BIRTHMUSIC", right-click, select "replace from file" and then choose the .wav file you wish to replace it with. Now go ahead and save the file. Yay! No more annoying sounds!
