I had a question for you guys, since I know some of you had made videos before to put on YouTube.
How do you strip the sound, like make it so there is no sound? I was talking on the videos with my fiance', and we just sound retarded, and the videos are supposed to just be of our animals, so I wanted to strip the sound off.
Also, this is a secondary question, how do you add a song if you wanted to?
Oh, and the videos were taken with my man's Blackberry phone and they open in Quick Time Player. What FREE media player do I need to download, and where can I get it, in order to edit them and how do I convert them? If I need to...
Thanks in advanced, I am more concerned with making it have NO sound. The song info would just be a bonus.

I don't remember if you use a Windows machine or a Mac, but Quicktime Player on my machine (Player 7) has the ability to extract audio. If you open a .mov, go to Show Movie Properties, there is an option somewhere to extract video. You can then save it as whatever file type you want it to be. I think. XD Don't have a .mov to test it on, but it can be done.
To add a song you would need to use a video editing software; if you're on a Windows machine you can use the free version of Movie Maker, if you're on a Mac I'm not sure what your free options are (I have access to all sorts of professional stuff here at work, hence the uncertainty).

Thanks for responding, Brynn! (Love your Deer, by the way!)
The files are .3GPP. I have Windows XP, but they will not open in Move Maker for some reason, they will not work in Windows Media Player either. Is there a way to make them work in those?
I tried converting them with VideoPad to .WMV and now they will work in Movie Maker, but I can't figure out how to get the sound off of them, or how to add a song.

No, my movie maker looks more old school. It doesn't have that button that I can find. I figured out how to add a song, as long as it's a certain format, which I don't know how to convert songs, but I still can't figure out how to get my voice off of there, so the song goes over my voice, but you can still hear me talking. ={ I also need to know how to remove portions of the movie. There are parts where it's just pointing at the floor, and that's boring. This is what I have so far... www.youtube.com/watch?v=vHMA3DdAWr8

You should have an option that splits the video wherever you want it. This way you can cut out parts... in my movie maker menu it shows up when I open "clip", next to extras.
btw your dogs are cuties ♥

I will try to figure that out, thanks Hazel. ^^; I am like totally clueless about computer stuff. Lol. Technology is scary!
And thanks for the compliments about my doggies. I can't wait to bring our new puppy home. I hope Josci will like him. Well, he will have to get used to him sooner or later. Haha. I think he will love having someone other than us silly humans to play with though! <3
