I'm using Zymic as my web host. I want to use an e-mail form to help potential clients ask questions easily. However, the e-mail form code that I'm using right now just opens up an Outlook Express box when you hit submit. Some people, like me, don't use Outlook Express. I wanted to make it easier for people who don't. Is there any way I can change this?

I don't think so Besides, if they don't, they can just go to their online email and type your email in. Or paste it in, either one.

There are online email forms that don't open outlook, I've used them before to send in things.
How you get them though, that I don't know.

What exact code are you using? Can you paste it?
I knowww I've used a code before that didn't open Outlook, but I can't for the life of me remember it x__x I'll also ask my other coding buddy to see if he knows any.

The e-mail form code that I'm using is this: I got the code from: www.lissaexplains.com/html4.shtmlAnd I'm using it here: nhpeppypets.zxq.net/contact.htmlI understand that they can do that, but I just feel like a little form would be really convenient and easy for potential clients. It's a pet sitting business site, and I know some people might not be as computer savy as others.

There are several forms you can use, which you can find on script sites like www.hotscripts.com and dynamicdrive.com. I just use a simple form for my own websites, which, according to your own form, isn't suited for your website. You can also consider to use a form generator. I haven't used this myself, but an example is www.emailmeform.com.

The mailto: command does whatever you have your system set up to do when it encounters an e-mail thing. For example, on my personal computer when I click on a mailto: link it automatically opens Gmail for me, because of the settings in Firefox. It might be that you're getting Outlook because that's how your computer is set up to use mailto: commands.

Does that website have a limit of how many times the form can be submitted a month? I made my e-mail form on emailmeform.com, but they only allow you to get 200 form submissions a month. If you want more, you have to pay $100/yr. Slightly ridiculous haha.

Says here it's unlimited in the free version. I don't think you need to get all fancy though, your code looks like it should work just fine for anyone, it's just a matter of how their browser is set up to use mailto: commands.
