Not sure if this would go here or in Petz Help, move if needed :]
I just moved and I burned all my .pet files onto disks. I made sure all the disks worked on my other computer, but I never tested them on the computer I was taking, and so, of course, when I got all moved in, I went to get my petz off the disks and the files wouldn't show up.
I burned the disks on an XP and the computer I'm trying to get them onto now is a Vista. However, I burned 3 other disks besides the 2 with petz files on them, and those 3 work fine on this computer. I also tried putting the 2 .pet disks into my boyfriend's Vista...and they work there.
My computer registers that the disks have files on them, but when I double click to open them, it takes 5 minutes to load and then there's nothing in it. I've gone to properties and made sure that the files weren't hidden.
I have no idea what is going on and there's nothing on Google that I've found that will help. I'm posting here in case someone else has had the same issue and knows a solution.
I would just transfer the files from my boyfriend's computer to mine, but his computer is so insanely slow, it would take me the entire day just to transfer 500 petz over.

I got the same issue with some of my data discs. I have no idea what it is, or how to solve it. Guess it is just a problem with the discs itselves. The only advice I can give you is to just use your boyfriend's computer and transfer your petz to yours...

I was afraid of that. The only problem is (besides the slowness) is that the 2 biggest and most important files are showing up as empty, but are acting like there's something inside and I think his computer just might not be loading them because it's so slow and stupid. Thanks for the reply, I'm glad my computer isn't just horribly messed up

Well, it's either that, or both of our computers are messed up. Haha.
My computer freezes sometimes if I open certain folders on discs. Meaning that I have to shut down explorer.exe and restart it. So annoying... I wish I knew how to fix it. But yeah, it could have something to do with the fact that they're old (in my case) and slow. ><

Ninja and Mkay <333 Missed you both a lot, too :[
Well, I'm going over to a friend's house to test the disks on an XP, so I hope that works...
