Alright so I have a website - Famous Kennelz that I use for my adoptions, on an FTP server. I'm truly hoping someone can help me sort this out.
I am not sure if its a Windows 7 related problem or not. I truly have no clue. I had no problems before I got my new laptop.
So I signed into my FTP account after getting my user/pass back from my host (Sita). Everything was still there, which I wasn't positive it would be since I got a new computer.
So I made some new images of my Danes.. since my whole crew page needs to be updated. & went to update it as I would normally do.
I make a copy of everything in FTP and put it into a folder on my desktop titled Site - I edit all the pages using notepad, and once im done I drag and drop it into FTP and click replace. Which I've always done, and worked great for me.
However this time, when I went to fix my Danes crew.. the images show up broken.
The coding and everything is right.. ive check it over and over.
the images for the Dane's part of my crew are in a folder on FTP itself called "Danes"
The notepad codes look like this :
linked for size
so that's what it looks like when i edit it.. the only thing i changed was the name of the .png image, the new pictures ARE in the ftp Danes folder already.. as they should..
so it should work.
I can check each page individually by clicking on the Dane .html page itself ... to see that it will work correctly. So i checked the fakey one that's in my folder on my desktop - and it looks right... images show up n everything.
you can see that here click
so yay it worked fine... i place it into my ftp folder.. and should be able to click on that same dane. html page.. and see the same thing.. only it SHOULD bring me to the actual website..
but i get this -
click
so hmm.. it DIDN'T work.. if you go to my site.. like you would normally and see the page (best in firefox/moxilla)
www.thecritterhouse.org/famous/Danes.html
the images are broken.
I know it's alot to read.. and im sorry for that.. theres no better way to explain it, to my knowledge. I figured the pictures would be the best help.
Anyone have any idea what's wrong? Is it a Windows 7 issue?
