Aww Ali! You're another person who is SO polite. Like. You're one of the nicest people ever.
I'm just talking about people who are either careless and lazy, or people who feel they're too good to reply to or thank others.

I agree with you Loxie.
Most of all what bugs me is on breeding or hexing services. I mean if I just took time outta my life and hexed someone a custom pet from scratch then I feel I deserve a thank you. Or even bred them like a specific pet.
And honestly I always thought it was common courtesy to exalt someone if they did a bred or hex request for you or if they fufilled a wanted ad or something. I mean it's not a big deal but I feel like it shows that the person appreciated your efforts.
But then I realized that I'm like in the minority who feel this way?
And I also get annoyed when people adopt pets (especially the people you see adopting on like every thread) and it's just like
Pet: Fluffy Email: blablabla@hotmail.com
And then that's it. I like to at least say thank you to the person? Lol I mean really!! And I try to reply with emails letting the person know I received the pet and such. I do admit that I forget sometimes who I have and havnt responded to in my emails soo sorry to anyone if I forgot =X. But most of the time I reply, at least saying "Thank you!"
So yes Loxie dear, I agree with you that manners/common courtesy has been slipping in the PC.

I almost always post a comment on PA thanking them and telling If I changed the name or something or saying how long I stalked it. lol.
I do purposely not reply to emails sometimes though if I'm not very familiar with the person because I don't want to get on there nerves.
I also don't bother people on aim much for the same reason, I feel like I'm being annoying. lol. I feel so warm and fuzzy whenever Lox, or Jesi will start a chat with me on aim. =] lol. Cause I'm afraid to post and bother them. Also, A few people have tried to talk to me on aim, and I'm so... I guess I'm insecure in a way? that I can't figure out anything to say, and I feel like I'm coming off like I don't wanna talk, but I'm really spazzing over not knowing what to say. lol.
Yea, ALSO! lol. I read EVERYONES rules... and often times forget to put the little * or whatever they have asked for, then I go back just looking at whatever pet, and realize it, and go back and fix it real quick. =P
So, If I leave something like that out, it's probably a mistake. =X

^Yea I do agree with you about the whole aim thing. I'm too scared to message anyone outside of my own little bubble of friends haha. I'm insecure that way too. Especially when asking someone for help and super especially when asking to trade lol.
However I'll still email back to people even if I don't know them well just so they know that I got the petz ok and everything. The purpose isn't to start a convo or have them respond at all, it's just to say thank you and assure them that the email was safely delivered.
Oh yeah and Nawmi I know what you mean about the like "Put a * after your name" stuff. Because I do read the rules but then by the time I pick which pet I want and like get my form all ready and all that crap, I don't think about it and then I'm like...Oh crap! And have to go back and edit my post. That's why I never make rules like that cuz I know how I am haha and I DO read and respect rules so it's not like I'm purposely trying to disobey people.

OK next point......
Does it really bug you when people ALWAYS lose copies of the petz you send them? I always deliberately keep/make email backups, and have copies of my petz on my USB pens. I think it's only courteous to people if you keep your petz from them safe.
When people PM or IM me going 'Oh I lost all my petz from you! Can you rehex/resend them?' I don't mind the first time, and usually make a comment about buying a USB flashdrive and then resend the petz.
But the second, third or fourth time they ask....I get super annoyed. I mean, I give out a lot of petz. I don't HAVE to keep copies of all those thousands of petfiles on my computer, nor should I have to keep rehexing the same blooming thing three times over. It's almost like saying 'eh I don't need to make backups, I can get the pets back again!' Erm, backups are essential. Please.

I hope that is not about me... I keep all petz I send out, so I don't have that issue ( not like my petz are everywhere though )

I actually try and and keep email back ups.. but I've tried disk back up and they always get erased somehow I'll just try and load the disk, and nothing is there. >_<;;
And I've had more than one USB drive go corrupt on me..
I never have a problem sending people petz back, but if it became a once a month thing, or something like that, I'd be pretty mad.

Once they start to ask a bunch of times in a short period of time, I actually start to get a little suspicious. There's one person on another forum I go to, every couple of months or so, she "loses" all of her petz in a crash. Just by knowing this person anywho and her attitude, I really don't believe it. Last time some people started to get on her case about it though.

i agree.
i ask in the email for people to let me know when they get the pet and i 99.9% of the time never get a reply back. so i'm wondering to myself, did they get the pet or did it get lost?
then it makes me want to re-adopt out the pet for this matter to make sure it actually gets to its proper home.
as for the re-sending/re-hexing bit, yes. it seems like a constant issue with a few people that they're always losing there petz. it annoys me and i've never re-hexed a pet, lol. it takes too much time and in about a month they'll be lost again. i also tend to ignore these specific people when they request to adopt. i don't want my quality petz being lost repeatedly. ;|
i totally know and agree where you're coming from.

I agree with a lot of things that people said here.... annddd...
Just to add, lol. It really bothers me when people just adopt, adopt, adopt, adopt, and never give anyone anything back or hex/bred anything for the community. Or when the ONLY boards that they post in are adoptions and never anywhere else. It kinda bothers me, heh.

Well actually right now my laptop is broken and they said it's quite possible I'll lose everything and it's so fried that it won't turn on for even a second for me to get my files off. I'm scared of losing all my petz =[
I can pay to have them take out my hard drive but it's an extra $150 AND it still might not do any good if the hard drive if effed.
I mean this is the first time I've had this happen but I would hope people wouldn't be upset with me trying to recover my lost petz ;_;. I'm extremely upset about it!

I hope that is not about me... Obviously not, lmao. I think Selena is thinking of the same person/people I am, but I could be wrong. Like. People who always seem to 'lose' their petz once every few months and then expect you to keep rehexing them. Also: if you email yourself backup copies it doesn't matter if your hard drive or w/e corrupts, when you get a new comp/get your comp fixed, you just open your email account and they're there

^ I do that! I email myself my petz, on all three of my emails. ;D Three backups, so far. I need to back up the petz on this comp, but I have backups of the ones on my old comp (most of which I still need to download...)
I'm incredibly dis-organised. So if I forget to say thanks to people and/or show off, PLEASE don't take it personally. I have memory problems, and I'm honestly a bit dim at times, haha.
Also: I really need to breed stuff for my service, and some other things for RKC. I sometimes feel like I don't give enough back, and people might start to hate me. x______x;;
