Okay since Christmas is coming up and I need a new laptop, I could use some help! I do tend to like HP's best but anything will do. I do have some things that I need which are: -Built in webcam/microphone -Preferable Windows not Vista (optional) -Cheaper price (500 or less) -Regular size, I don't want a mini And that's all I really need! I was thinking this one www.walmart.com/catalog/DescribeBundleComponent.do?bundle_id=12961430&component_id=1&item_id=12347230But I'm not great with computers and all so I could use your guys help!

The laptop that you posted above is the one that I have, and I would definitely reccomend it. I've had it for several months now and never had a problem with it.

I really like that one, although it's a tad bit over my price range. :/ Anybody of any cheaper ones?

Well, when you buy a laptop there's going to be other things they'll try to add onto the price. My laptop had about $300 added on to it because of the extras that they "strongly reccomended". :/

What are you going to use the laptop for? That can play a huge role in what you'll end up getting peripheral wise. Is this a school/work laptop with a few fun extras like the webcam or is it taking over for a desktop computer and going to be your 'everything' computer? I want to help but I need to know what you are planning to use it for <3 Another thing to remember is that brands like HP have that free upgrade campaign going on, so if you're stuck with Vista you may be able to get Windows 7 for free I'll make sure to check for that when I take a lookie on the interwebz.

For $500, you're going to be seriously limited power wise in the laptop category. You'd probably be better off (if possible) getting a desktop PC, as you'd get more bang for your buck especially if you already have a monitor.
The Dell Inspiron 15 might be a better choice; it's got essentially the same specs as the cheapest HP 17 or whatever, and comes with a webcam for $449.
