Yes, My car is clutch controlled so i have too xD
Most cars here are clutch controlled car, but the good think about learning and passing your test in one, means you are permitted to drive automatics too, where as here if you learn and pass your test in an automatic your not aloud to drive a clutch controlled car =3

My dad taunted me by giving me his truck which is a stick, and right after I managed to get it into 3rd gear, he took it off the road. Grrrr. Then I got my permit a week later and never got to actually drive it in traffic. Now my '93 Chevy is sitting growing weeds through it at my Grandparents' farm. -cries-

I used to only be able to drive a stick shift. My current car is an automatic, but I still prefer a stick shift -- I find them more responsive, and I'm more in control of what happens and when. With an automatic, if I want to accelerate real quick, it seems like it takes a split second for the thing to react (thinking whether it wants to first gear down or just slowly accelerate) -- while with a stick, you manually gear down and the acceleration is instantaneous. I can see how it must be difficult after getting used to an automatic first though

I've only driven clutch controlled/gearstick cars, so I wouldn't know what to do with an automatic My ka is easy to drive imo..safer too

I can, i don't have a standard right now my diesel truck is automatic and unless i get another sports car i don't really see the need for a standard. Sometimes it was be nice to be able to shift when i need to, bad weather and all, i hate having to kick it into 2 or 3 on the pick up we have a lot of ice.

I'm no pro at it, but I can get to and fro using it. Hills are evil at this point, ha.
I only have automatics though.

I can, but I prefer not too because I have slow co-ordination (like the clutch + hand coordination). I can do it though, and I do okay with it.

Nope. My bf has tried to teach me in his truck (I wouldn't go for it). I'll stick with automatics.
