I was thinking about making an adoption site / crew site. However I have NO idea what to put it on. Geocites, freewebs, something else.. what? Which one in your opinion is the best (&easiest) to use? Also! Is there a link to a site that has the code so that everything will be inside the little square? Like.. if I wanted to make a layout and then have everything inside a certain set of frames, how would I do that? XD;; I'm sorry if this is the wrong place for this. ;;

Geocities would be the easiest, you don't even need to know html for their pagebuilder.
I'm going to move this to the help desk though, since I think it belongs there. ^^

geocities is good but has an ad down the side... i've never used freewebs myself but that seems to be the most common.
annnd iframes
<iframe name="iframe" src="home.html" width="#px" height="#px" style="position:absolute; top:#px; left:#px" frameborder=0 ALLOWTRANSPARENCY="true">
thats the main code for iframes, replacing #'s with numbers...which will match your layout (:

That's true about the ad, though I find it pretty easy to ignore. ^^ Remember to use pagebuilder, the others are templates and pre-built.

One more question.. When uploading images how do I make the background transparent? It always comes out like a big white square and looks awful. c):

I use www.bravenet.com they are super easy. Some ads but a popup blocker kills them

Avoid Piczo, Angelfire, and Bravenet. All may be 'good' or 'easy' but the pop ups are a pain and slow down many computers, with or without a popup blocker on. They are crap for that very reason. I refuse to visit any website hosted by any of the previously mentioned.

Geocities is closing this year, so it wouldn't be a good idea. Freewebs is really the only template/canvas style webhost I know of, the only problem with them is the particularily annoying ads they can have (like the Telus Gecko one they have right now. It follows you!). If you're looking for an HTML webhost, I'd suggest my host, Ueuo.com, or perhaps Awardspace. I find that Awardspace is very annoying to navigate, in my opinion, so I'd suggest Ueuo more the AS. Plus, Ueuo gives you waaaay more space than any other host I've ever come across.
EDIT: I'm terribly sorry, I didn't check the last post date! ^^; Whoopsie...

I reccomend www.110mb.comI had Flummery hosted there for the longest time! It's AD FREE, you get 110mb of space, and about 5,000mb of bandwidth a month! And as for a comparison, most free sites that HAVE ads give you 2-10mb of space, and 200-500mb of bandwith! They even have their own pagebuilder, or you can opt to use HTML! They also let you upload images via .zip files, so you can upload ALL your images at once! It's quite a fantastic host!

I honestly like Piczo.com the best, but you do have to put a .piczo.com on the end of your website name.
